*Loads gun*
I hope some of you realise I have a personal life which is far more important than wattpad for me. I'm sick of deleting nasty rude comments so if you don't stop, i swear I'll take this book down. I update when I can so instead of bugging me you better comment about the chapter. I fucking told everyone I read every comment and the more "update" I read the more I don't want to write. I won't name you but you know it's you if this offends you.
Also thank you to thise who comment about the chapter good or bad, I love you.

Conner picked up another box from the drive way and carried it over to his car followed by Jade. Sophia stood there as she watched Ciel, Conner and Jade empty out her house, taking away all the necessary items and putting them into the pick up truck or Conner's car.
She was still a bit shaken up with all that happened last night. Even though she begged Conner to think again, Conner forced her to move out of this house which was no longer safe.
Conner knew her house was not safe anymore, if Richard barged in once, he would barge in again. He would not stop till he gets what he wants and he wants to hurt Sohpia
Conner had that man dragged to the police station last night, made sure he was but behind bars. But this morning, he got a call telling him that he was out on bail because he did not commit a crime, he wasn't in his senses as he was skipping his medication.
Conner didn't know that Richard had some psychological problems, but that shit helped him get out and consult fucking psychiatrists. Also, the person who got him out of prisone was someone powerful, and he knew he had to find out who it was.
But Conner had a bigger problem on hand, it was Sophia and their daughters safety. He had to make sure they were safe and he could not take any kind of risk with their safety.
So he decided the safest place for them to live right now, Was his own mansion.
And yes, this was a selfish move on his behalf. After last night's incident he was scared for her. He knew Richard is not in the prison anymore and he has someone powerful behind him. So if he strikes again, Conner will strike back.
"That's all" Jade walked over to Conner and handed him his car keys,"You guys can go ahead, Ceil and I will be there after we clean the house and pack some stuff up, we'll start worm from tomorrow if that's all right?"
Conner nodded his head, his face held no emotion what so ever. He took the car keys and walked over to Sophia, "Let's get going"
"Conner, you don't have to do this. Serenity and I are perfectly fine in some hotel, you're putting yourself in danger" Sophia tried to reason with him for the hundredth time. She knew Conner was looking out for both of then but this was only going to cause trouble for him.
"Miss Dixon," Conner made sure to never use that Morin surname with her name again,"This is the last time I'm trying to get some senses knocked into your head. If Richard can get out of prison in a few hours then he can easily barge into some hotel room. The safest place fir you is my Mansion whether you like it or not. I have special security recruited for both of you, extra for Serenity. I can not take any risk regarding her"
And you, he thought but never said it out loud.
Sophia nodded her head in understanding. He had even allowed Jade and Ceil to work for him there, so that Serenity and her would feel a but comfortable knowing they had someone.
Sophia looked towards her house one last time, all those happy memories have been crushed down to nothing. This all started when she came back from Paris, problems after problems.
She wondered why.

Sophia walked into the HUGE mansion. No, it was more of a castle on the hill side.
Sophia knew Conner was rich, but she did not know he lived a life of a damn king!
Sophia held onto Serenity's hand tighter than before. She didn't want Serenity running off right now, if she goes missing here, she's never coming back.
"Miss Dixon, I'll be leaving now. I'll have Sara escort you throughout the house. Also," he bend down and smiled at Serenity, "I had a room renovated just for you but it may not be up to the mark but within a month I'll get another room for you and I promise you'll love it" Serenity giggled as Conner ruffled her hair.
Conner stood up and took a step back,"I'll be leaving for some work but I'll be back in an hour, mostly by dinner time. Sophia make sure you take ample of rest today because you're coming to office tomorrow"
Sophia nodded her head, there goes the friendly Conner.
As soon as Conner turned around and walked off, a maid walked out of the mansion.
She was in her teens maybe eighteen or nineteen, had a bob cut and her eyes were a shade of dark green. She looked beautiful, with that gentle smile on her face, "You must be Sophia, I'm Sara. Mr. Manhattan told me to show you around, so let's get going. The dinner will be served shortly so we have very little time" She bend down and offered Serenity a sweet smile, "Wow she has the same eye colour as Mr. Manhattan." Sophia almost choked on her own breath, how did she even know his eye colour so perfectly?
"Let's get going kiddo" She offered a hand to Serenity who took it happily.
They followed Sara towards the left staircase, "My mother is really excited to see you" She looked back at Sophia and shook her head, "She's been bugging me since morning. She's really excited that You're here. Mr. Manhattan talks about you a lot"
Now it was Sophia's turn to blush. "Really?"
"Yes. I've just started working here but my mother has worked for the Manhattan's for over 25 years. We live in the servants quarter" Sophia instantly felt bad for her, before she could say anything Sara continued, "Oh don't give me that look" She chuckled. "The life of a helper here is not less than a normal family. We have a swimming pool, television and everything a normal family has. Our pay is good too."
Sophia nodded her head. She wondered if she was dreaming. If she had known, she would've joined this kind of job in a second.
They walked through two large hallways, before Sara stopped and turned around, "Serenity this is your room, still being renovated but the people did a pretty decent job, Mr Manhattan helped too."
(A/n I'm not going to explain the house/room/kitchen in detail because you can see them in the picture)
Sophia looked at the place with her eyes wide opened, is this a room? It sure didn't feel like it. This 'room' was larger than her house! And they wanted to renovated it even more? On the ither hand Serenity mirrored her mother's expression. This room was too big for a her.
Yes as a child she was happy to have found such a room but at the same moment she was shocked and confused. So many things have happened to her, daddy never comes home mommy looks sad and they suddenly left their home and moved in with Conner. She didn't understand anything, and was too afraid to ask her mother. Sophia looked so stressed that Serenity could not muster up courage to ask any questions.
"Come on in Serenity, I hope you like your room. We have a little tea party set up right there (2nd pic) and we hope the bed is not too high for you, my mother chose that for you even when Conner and I refused. She said kids liked huge begs with soft mattress" Sara laughed, "Do you like it?"
Serenity looked at the room and then back at her mother. Liked? She loved her room!
"Thank you I like it" She blushed and hid behind her mother. Sara's face turned into a full blown smile, "I'm glad. How about you go inside and freshen up while I show your mother around the house. If you need anything" She walked over to the side of the bed and pointed to a bell, "Someone will come up in an instant and please don't hesitate."
Sara walked back to the door as Serenity walked towards the large balcony windows, it was almost night. Sophia turned around to leave, but then turned back, "Bub close the windows. It's not safe"
Serenity nodded her head since yesterday Sophia has been acting weird and it bugged her. She wasn't talking much and wasn't even looking at Serenity, it was like her mother was hiding something or was guilt about something. So serenity was doing everything she could to please her mommy. Not questioning her or pestering her about her own problems.
Serenity closed the window and jumped up on her new bed. It was so soft, she felt the bed engulf her in a hug. She squealed and closed her eyes, this bed was so comfortable. She pulled her quilt over her and took a deep breath, she really needed some sleep.
Meanwhile, Sophia walked behind Sara towards another pair of staircase which lead towards a hallway on another floor, Ther jept walking till Sara stopped and turned around "This is your room," she opened up a door which was already lit from inside.
It was a huge room, which was rather empty like the one back home. Sophia had always wanted her room rather empty, less things here and there. It brought a certain peace to her which sounded stupid but was true.
We have a closet ready for you too, it doesn't have much clothes but today our 11 specialist went on a shopping spree for you and Serenity. We brought some clothes for you hoping you would like them. All your clothes which you've brought with yourself can be hung in there too. We really hope you like it"
She walked towards a door and opened it, Sophia followed her into the dark room. "I'll turn on the light," There was shuffling heard and suddenly the lights were turned on.
Sophia froze on her spot.
This walk in closet was bigger than her previous room and her previous room wasn't small! But not only that, it was filled with clothes already.
Sophia turned around and looked at Sara,"Oh my god I love it but this is too much! I mean all these clothes and all these shoes I don't-"
"Miss Dixon please don't worry. All this is for you because you are our most precious guest. Please don't say you won't accept this we all really worked hard on everything" Sara looked a little sad, she knew Sophia would say something like this but Conner had ordered them to make everything perfect and they will follow his orders no matter what.
Sophia kept her mouth shut for the rest of the journey. She didn't want to sound rude anymore but Conner really did overdo it. She wasn't going to stay here all her life, she would pay him back somehow.
The rest of the house was just as expected, posh and screamed money. She knew by then end of this tour she would be lying half dead on the floor.
Other guests rooms
Sophia had only seen 3/5 of the house when she was already tired as hell. She just wanted to be fed and then sleep like a baby.
"Sara can we please see the rest of it tomorrow?" She pleaded like a child. Sara smiled and nodded her head, she looked at her watch and suddenly gasped, " Oh god I am so sorry! We are already late for dinner and Mr Manhattan must've come back till now oh god I'm never going to hear the end of it from mom"
Both of them hurried towards the dining room, not wanting to get late any more. Also, Sophia felt butterflies in her stomach with the throught of having dinner with Conner in his mansion.

Dining room
Conner was already seated at the head table as two butler stood behimd him. Sophia offered him a soft smile but he did not smile back. "Where were you?" He asked.
Sophia looked at him, his eyes were not on her but on Sara, she could sense that he was about to bash her up. "She was in my room with me. I lost my phone and we both were looking for it, well I forced her to look for it with me"
Conner looked at Sophia, he knew she was lying. But he didn't want to pester her anymore so he nodded his head.
Sophia sat on the chair right next to him, "Wait. Where's Sera?" She asked.
One of the butlers was quick to answer. "Pardon our intrusion but she was asleep when we last checked. We tried waking her up but failed miserably."
Sophia looked at them and gave them a small smile, "You can start, I'll go get her" she was about to get up when suddenly Conner stopped her.
"Miss Dixon, if you don't mind I'd like to go instead"
Sophia looked at him confused, "No you really don't have to take the trouble-"
Conner stood up and started walking away, "She's no trouble" He whispered and left the dining room. Sophia sat there, a small smile tugged at the corner of her lips. She loved it when Conner turned all fatherly, she used to hate it once but now she loves it to no extent. She knows, if something happens to her in the future, Conner will always take care of her.

(A\N ABOVE PICTURE IS CONNER MANHATTAN)
Conner walked towards the door, his heart was not at ease. Even today, when he saw Serenity in the morning she looked sad, confused and lonely. Her expression mirrored her mother's but for different reasons. He just wanted to know the reason for her mood being so upset and if someone was responsible then god help that person.
He was about to knock on the door when he heard shuffling on the other side of the door. Was she awake?
He stood there listening to the noise for a minute, but then it stopped. Conner put his ear against the door but there was still no sound. Finally he knocked on the door.
No sound was heard.
He gave a louder knock but still no sound. Finally Conner opened the door a bit, "I'm coming in bub" and with that he walked in, only to freeze on the way.
Serenity was sitting on the floor, her white duffle bag was opened and her drawing book was out. She had the drawing book clutched to her chest as tears streamed down her face.
She was crying.
Conner instantly jogged over to her, his heart was beating faster than it ever had. He scooped her gently in his strong muscular arms, "What's wrong?" He asked, his voice was soft, low. He was worried, scared even. He had never seen her cry and he never did want to see his daughter cry. "Tell me what's wrong?" He asked again.
"Mommy is angry.." She sobbed as she clutched the drawing even closer to her body. Conner was confused, why was she saying this? Sophia loved her more than anything and would never hurt her daughter or get angry with her untill Serenity crosses her limits which she would not.
He brought his hand gently over to her face and tucked a few strands behind her ear. "Tell me everything" he asked as he rocked her gently.
Serenity was sobbing uncomfortably. She was so stressed as a child and seeing her mother so upset made her even more upset.
"Why is mommy so sad?" She asked as she looked at Conner with her dark blue eyes coated with thick layers of black eye lashes, the same as Conner's.
"She's not, what made you think that way bub?" Conner hated lying to her but maybe it wasn't his place to tell her what was going on.
"Daddy doesn't come home.. mommy is sad..why did we come here?" she clutched onto his leather jacket even more tightly than before as if controlling herself.
Conner let out a loud sigh, he had ever answer with him but still couldn't tell her anything.
"Daddy and mommy have work, that's why they're stressed but they love you. Mommy loves you way too much, she just doesn't want to stress you too," he rocked her gently not answering why they suddenly left their house and moved in here.
Conner patted her head, "Do you like your room?" He asked changing the subject not knowing what to say anymore.
"I love it" she gushed making Conner smile.
"I'm glad then"
He kept on rocking her gently while patting her head simontanously. It felt so good having his daughter so close to him after so long. He couldn't imagine what would happen if Serenity was harmed in any way. She was his blood, he didn't trust Sophia first but now he was going to mend his ways and love her just as she deserved.
Almost after 10 minutes of gently rocking her back and forth, he realised she hadn't eaten anything. "Muffin, let's go have something to eat"
Serenity shook her head no, her eyes still closed. She felt so calm with Conner, it was like a certain connection which made her trust him so much. Conner chuckled, she sure was rigid just like him.
He picked her upl slowly and walked over to her large bed. Laying her down her pulled the cover over her and kissed her forehead,"The first and the only time I'm letting you skip dinner" He smiled at her as she giggled and stuck her tongue out at him. "Nighty-night muffin"
"Night daddy"
Conner froze. Did she just-
"I'm sorry, daddy used to tuck me in every night so ...I was... I "
Conner turned around to look at her, she looked so guilty. Conner shook his head and smiled,"Don't worry kiddo, we're fine"
He then walked off trying to hide the pain in his chest. He got so happy when she called him daddy, his little daughter called her daddy but it didn't even last a second.
He felt really bad, he just wished he could turn back time and mend his mistake.
But he knew, the past could not change so he had to make sure the future favours him.
