Izuku's POV:

On my way up the steps, I can already see the force used on my door, completely shattered at the door, with slash marks falling deep in the wood. As I make my way inside, I hear struggling from deeper in my once pleasant home. Realising that my mum is still inside, I run forward, I shoot to the living room door and kick it open in one swift motion, just in time to see a large, skinny, male villain grab my mother, slide a blade out the palm of his hand, and hold it to her throat.

"If you make a move, she dies." the villain says bluntly. In response, I simply stood there, staring. "Please! He doesn't have a quirk, he can't harm you, please don't harm him!" my mother pleas, tears rolling down her face. The villain chuckles, and seems to lower his guard slightly, "Really? Quirkless? How pathetic.". I lower my head to look at the floor, using his other arm, the villain takes me into the same position as my mother, blade emerging from the palm of his hand, and held at my throat. He explains how the police are going to be here soon, and that we are going to be his shield, his insurance policy. Sure enough, soon there are sirens and flashing lights outside, my head still lowered, he drags us outside and starts making his demands.

"Mum." I say, calmly and quietly, head still lowered, the villain is either ignoring me or can't hear me. As soon as this leaves my lips, my mum starts trying to console me, "It's ok Izuku" "We're going to be ok Izuku" "We'll be ok Izuku", she spurts out. "Mum, there is something I should tell you" as I slowly move my hand to where my elbow was previously, poking him in the stomach, she quickly quiets down and listens carefully to me, the fact that she was unsure what I am doing clearly etched on her face. I raise my head and look her in the eye as a jab the villain in the stomach. "I'm not quirkless!" I calmly say as the villain looks down at me to see what I'm doing, and, with the full force of my newly found quirk behind me, snap my fingers.
