***Author's Note***

Hey everyone! So in honor of the sequel of New Views coming out this summer, here is a little treat! This is a deleted scene of New Views. I think it's pretty cool, because its basically an alternate ending to the story! Or really the original ending I was gonna use. That being said, I'm gonna throw up a spoiler alert now, so if you haven't read it (or are in the middle of doing so), this is your warning now! I hope you y'all enjoy!

***Takes place in the hospital after the battle of Mt. ***

***Serena's POV***

I wake up to the steady beeping of heart monitor. First thing I see is Ash fast asleep in the chair next to me. Pikachu lays right next to me.

I sigh as I stare at the ceiling.

I can't believe it. It's crazy to think we were fighting for our lives a day ago. But it's over now. We won.

I gently pet Pikachu. Pikachu gently stirs in his sleep.

Suddenly, someone knocks on the door.

"Come in," I say. In comes Yellow, followed by Sarah.

I gulp.

I can only imagine what Sarah is feeling right now.

"How are you feeling?" Yellow asks with a smile.

"I'm doing well. A bit tired, bruised, but ok overall," I explain.

"I'm glad to hear it," Yellow says with a smile. She takes a seat next to Ash, who is still fast asleep. Sarah stands at the end of the bed, avoiding eye contact.

"Sarah, I-"

"We found their bodies."

She looks up at me, tears forming at the edges of her eyes.

"Their funeral is tomorrow. I know Jason would appreciate it if you were there," Sarah says, her voice breaking.

"Sarah, I am so sorry. We will be there. Please, if there is anything you need, don't hesitant to ask," I answer.

Sarah nods.

"I know I've been harsh with you. I am sorry," Sarah says.

"Sarah, please. It's ok you don't need to-"

"I just want to say I was wrong about you. And thank you."

"Thank you? For what?"

Sarah walks over to me.

"At any moment you could have saved Ash at Jason's expense. But you didn't. You gave Jason the opportunity to decide for himself, and that is all he and I could ask for. So thank you. So much," Sarah manages to say, as she begins to sob. I pull her in for a hug.

"Don't thank me. I'm just sorry we couldn't save them both," I say as I hold Sarah, tears coming out of my own eyes as well.

***The Next Day, at the funeral***

All the Pokédex Holders stand in the funeral home, wearing all black. Many have casts, bandages and crutches. They all take turns going up to Jason's casket, and I am waiting patiently for my turn. Ash stands beside me, holding my hand.

Next thing I know, I am walking up to Jason's casket.

He looks so peaceful. 

"Jason. I'm sorry things happened the way it did," I say as I gently touch his arm.

He feels so cold.

"I just wanted to say thank you. For protecting me. I'll make sure that your sacrifice wasn't in vain," I say as I kiss my hand, then gently place it on his forehead.

***Years After the Pengen Incident***

***Ash's POV***

"Hurry Charizard! We have to make it on time!"

Charizard grunt in acknowledge as he soars through the sky. Lumoise City appears into view.

"Take me straight to the hospital!"

A few minutes later, they begin to land right at the doors of the hospital.

Ash jumps off Charizard's back while still in the air and takes off to the hospital. Pikachu is holding on to his shoulder for dear life.

"Sir! You cannot be running in here!" A nurse scolds him as he nearly runs into her.

"I'm sorry! But I need to see Serena! She's-"

"Oh! Follow me!" The nurse says as she leads Ash and Pikachu up two levels and down the hallway.

"She's in here! Good luck!" The nurse says as Ash quickly opens the door.

Inside, Serena is sweating and grunting in pain. She has a death grip on the cover of the bed as she lets out a cry.

"You!" Serena yells, looking straight at Ash.

"You did this to me!"

"Uhh, what can I do doctor?" Ash asks.

The doctor chuckles as he puts on a pair of gloves.

"Go comfort the Kalos Queen, champion," he says he makes his way over to Serena.

"Alright Serena. The baby is ready to come out! Now hold on to Ash, and do exactly what I tell you too!"

...

"Congratulations! It's a baby boy!" The doctor exclaims as cries fill the room. Serena sighs.

"Can I hold him?" She asks.

"Of course. Just give us a minute to check up on him," he answers. After he's done, he carries the baby boy and gently places him in Serena's arm. I immediately to her side, and admire their child.

"What should we name him?" I ask.

"I know the perfect name," Serena say with a smile on her face.

"His name will be Jason."

***The End***

I know, I know. What a ending. I originally planning on making New Views a stand alone story. But as I kept writing, and falling deeper into the lore, I had to step myself up in case I ever did want to write a sequel. Also I recognize that I did not answer a lot of questions in the story (hehe oops). Also, I really enjoy writing Jason's character, and Sarah as well.
