"Hello and welcome to Angie's Talk Show! I'm your host, and do I have a special treat for you today!" Angie begins as she smiles into the camera.

"We have two special guests today! They're two important people you all will recognize. They're known as the King and Queen of Kalos; let's give a warm welcome to Ash and Serena Ketchum!"

The crowd goes wild as Ash and Serena walk from behind the scenery and sit in the empty seats next to Angie.

"Thank you for coming on the show!"

"Thank you for having us Angie," Serena says as she straightens out her skirt.

"Ash, it's a pleasure to have you here again."

"The pleasure is all mine Angie."

Angie then begins to interview both Ash and Serena. Everything is going well until Angie begins to hit a touchy subject.

"Well, I have one last question for you Ash," Angie says as she shifts her cards.

"Ask anyway,"Ash says, scratching the back of his head.

"I'm not sure how familiar you guys are with social media, but someone posted a picture of you at Cafe La Amour with a woman. It's very blurry, but you can tell that it isn't Serena. I'm gonna go ahead and put it on the screen so everyone can see now," Angie says as she turns around and behind them the picture is shown.

Serena's smile disappears and turns to Ash.

"So a married man can have dinner with a friend who's a woman, we all know that isn't a big deal. But it's Cafe La Amour! It's the most romantic restaurant in Kalos! That's not the type of restaurant you dine at with friends. So my viewers and I were wondering: is this even a real picture? If so, who is that woman and why are you with her?"

Ash stares at the ground, silent at first. He then sighs and looks at Angie.

"Well, I'm gonna be honest with you all. That is a real picture."

The crowd gasps and begin to mumble among themselves. Angie is taken back, who looks at Serena who's eyes widen. She takes another look at the picture, and her heart speeds up as she recognizes a certain someone's blue hair.

"Ash, what exactly are you telling us here?" Angie asks.

"The truth." Ash starts as he glances over at Serena who eyes have not moved from Ash.

"That woman in the picture is Dawn Bertliz."

The crowd goes silent.

Ash sighs again.

"But that's not all."

Serena has tears forming at the edge of her eyes.

"Her and I, we've, I, we've been seeing each other in secret. We're having an affair."

Angie gasps.

Serena unclips her mic and tosses on the floor, storming off the stage.

"Serena. Serena!" Ash calls out as Serena he chases after her.

Serena ignores him as she makes her way into a hallway leading towards the powder room.

"Where are you going?" Ash asks, but he is answered by silence. He manages to catch up to her as she turned into the room. He slowly reaches towards her.

"Serena, please, let me-"

"Don't!"

Ash freezes in place.

"Just don't say another word." Serena warns, as she begins to pace in the room.

"I just want-"

"No!"

Serena stops and leans against a chair. She begins to visibly shake as she tries to keep her composure.

"Don't think you can talk your way out of this."

"I don't, I just want to explain everything to you love!"

"Don't call me that. You've lost that right," Serena growls as she turns and faces him. Her eyes are red, and her chest is heaving heavily.

Ash stays silent as he looks at Serena.

"When?" She asks.

"When what?"

"When did this all start?"

Ash gulps.

"It all started when you went to visit my mother with the kids."

Serena flinches, but doesn't interrupt him.

"I was training with my Pokèmon like I said I would. I then decided to take a break and went on a walk to Luminose City, where I ran into Dawn. She wanted to revisit the tower and I offered to go with. We did, and then I walked her to her hotel room. She invited me inside, and I went, and yeah."

"So you've been cheating on me for over four years?"

Ash nods.

Serena falls to her knees, and covers her mouth. Ash begins to walk over but Serena shakes her head.

"Why?" Serena whimpers.

Ash opens his mouth, but nothing comes out.

"I, she, we, I don't know."

"Really? You cheated on me and you don't even have a fucking reason?" Serena yells, slamming her fist on the ground.

Ash stays silent.

"How could you? And you had the audacity to tell the whole world before you told me? What on Earth was the point of that?"

Ash sighs.

"It was to clear my name.",

Serena looks up and stares into Ash's eyes. Her eyes have so much anger and pain.

Ash tenses up.

"I had to. Tierno was blackmailing and threatening to tell the Pokèmon league. If they found out they could've stripped me from my title unless I came clean myself. I couldn't allow my legacy to be tainted or even worse, erased."

"Legacy? Since when do you care about your legacy?"

Ash shuffles in place.

"Since we've been getting older. I don't have much time left until-"

Serena sniffs, then slowly builds up into hysterical laughter.

"After all these years, you're still so dense!"

Ash lifts his eyebrows.

"When are you gonna realize that our kids are your legacy. I am your legacy. We are your legacy!"

Serena stands up.

"And I thought you were mine."

"Pika!"

Pikachu uses Iron Tail to knock the door down.

"Pikachu! Oh, sorry for leaving you out bud! I-"

Ash closes his mouth as he watches Pikachu walk past him and jump into Serena's arms. Pikachu coos and licks her face, trying to comfort her.

"Thanks Pikachu," Serena whispers as she pets him.

Serena pulls out her Pokèball and unleashes Braixen.

"Braixen, light up your branch."

"Serena, what are you doing?" Ash says, as he begins to back up.

"Oh don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt you," Serena says as she unties her hair. She holds out the ribbon that was holding her hair in place, which is the ribbon Ash gave her so many years ago.

"Serena, what are you doing?"

"I'm erasing myself from your narrative," she says as she lifts it right above the fire.

"No. You wouldn't. You can't."

"Watch me."

Serena dips the ribbon into the fire, and they watch as the fire begins to eat it away.

Ash falls to his knees.

"You're hurt. But you have hurt me in a way you will never understand," Serena says, tears falling down her face as she walks towards the door.

"I'm sorry,"Ash whispers, as Serena slams the door shut.
