The Town- Team Rancher

The Town-
Tango's Perspective

The town was small but cozy.

There were plenty of shops, things to do, and there was a dock!

"We were going to hang out at the docks. Want to come with?" Jimmy asked as they drove off.

"Course! But after that, I should probably get back to my aunt and uncle's." Tango said.

Jimmy nodded, "Sure thing!"

They drove towards the water and got out of the car.

Tango ran up to the edge of the dock, smelling the salty sea air.

He took out his phone and took a selfie.

"Hmm..." Tango frowned at the picture.

I suck at taking selfies.

"Want me to take a picture of you?" Jimmy asked, looking over Tango's shoulder.

Tango blushed but nodded, "Er- sure! If you don't mind that is."

Jimmy shook his head sympathetically, "Nah, it's fine!"

Tango posed and Jimmy took a picture.

"Thanks! I just wanted to send this to my friends. I've been sending them pictures of the town, but selfies aren't my thing." Tango said, texting his good friends, Bdubs, Impulse, Etho, and Doc.

"Tim, can we go back now? Scar's wondering where I am." Grian tugged on his friend's arm.

"Sure." Jimmy smiled to Grian.

"Scar?" Tango asked, confused.

"Scar's his boyfriend." Jimmy explained as they walked towards his car, "They've been dating for about a year now. He's nice, so you guys will get along."

Jimmy dropped off Grian first and then drove towards Tango's aunt's ranch.

"Wow. A ranch?!" Jimmy awed, "I always loved these."

Tango laughed.

"Tang!"

Tango looked up at the familiar voice and saw his uncle Ted walking over.

"And... Jimmy, right?" Uncle Ted shook hands with Jimmy, "Must be a James."

Jimmy winced.

"Ah, not a fan of your name 'ey? Don't want me to call you that?"

"No, it's... it's fine." Jimmy said, though he didn't look like it was fine.

James? That's so stupid. Tango scoffed.

Ted nodded and then turned to Tango, "Sam's making some supper. Got 'bout half an hour till it's ready. James you can stay for supper if you want, or you could go back home."

"I'll stay. My mom doesn't care. She's always saying I need more friends anyway." James, er- Jimmy said.

Tango elbowed him playfully.

"Well, I'll be inside." Ted said, walking back towards his home, "Don't get lost Tango."

Tango rolled his eyes and Jimmy looked confused.

"What does he mean by that?"

"First time here. First time on the Ranch."

Tango explained, "All I've really seen is the tree and log that's outside my window."

Tango led Jimmy towards a big tree that was growing in the yard that had a little log bench under it.

They sat down, watching as the sun rested over the hills.

Tango took a deep breath, "I'm so used to the city life. This is... well different."

"Course it is, but I'm sure you'll do fine."
Jimmy said.

Tango smiled and took off his glasses.

"Wow." He said breathlessly, taking the landscape in. It looked like a Bob Ross painting.

"What?" Jimmy asked, grabbing the glasses.

"Woah. All you've seen is red?" Jimmy asked, wearing the glasses.

Tango giggled at Jimmy's stupid face, "Yep. But this... this is beautiful."

They watched the glorious sunset, Tango overflowed with feelings of love and peace.

"Thanks for dinner Ms...."

"Please. Call me Sam." Aunt Sam interrupted Jimmy and shook his hand.

Jimmy nodded, smiling.

"Hope to see you around James." Uncle Ted patted Jimmy's back.

"Yes, that would be delightful. We're putting Tango to work tomorrow morning, but after that you guys could hang out." Sam said.

"Cool! I don't think I'll be doing anything. Grian's hanging out with his boyfriend tomorrow." Jimmy said, thinking for a second.

"I hope to see you soon, then!" Uncle Ted said, waving goodbye to Jimmy.

And with that, Tango had his first day on the Ranch.

His first day of summer spent.

And his first crush on a guy.
