Scarian: Fixing What's Broken
Scar's Perspective-
"I don't know, he won't say what's wrong."
Scar heard his parents' muffled voices through the walls.
"Let me try." Scar heard his father say.
Just then there was a knock on his door.
"Come in." Scar said.
"Hey Scar." His father said, sitting down on Scar's bed.
"What's wrong? Why didn't you want to go to school?" He asked.
Scar shrugged.
His father sighed, "Come on Scar. Why'd you shout at your mother? What happened yesterday?"
Scar shrugged again.
"Your mother said that you shouted something about kissing your best friend and you're now going to lose them, is that true?"
Scar shrugged.
"Scar if you don't answer me, I will punish you for cursing and shouting at your mother." His father said sternly.
Scar sighed, "Maybe some of it is true."
"Which part? The losing your best friend or kissing them?"
"Both." Scar said, not wanting to go into detail.
"Is Grian this best friend?"
Scar hesitated but nodded.
"And you kissed him?"
"Not on the lips just on the cheek." Scar mumbled.
"I see... and what'd he say?"
"Nothing. He didn't say or do anything and probably never will because I fucking ruined our friendship, and we'll never talk again, and I'll have no more friends and he probably won't even- "
Scar was interrupted by a knock on the door.
His father didn't actually mind the fact that Scar cursed.
He probably just wanted to hear me out.
Scar and his father listened to who was at the door.
"Hello Mrs. Times." Scar heard Lizzie say.
Lizzie? What the fuck is Lizzie doing here?
"I'm sure you've heard Scar talk about his friends Lizzie, Scott, and Grian." Lizzie said.
"Yes! Scar talks fondly of you all." Scar's mother said.
"We're worried about him and were wondering if we could see him?" Lizzie asked in a sweet voice.
"Let me check, his father is speaking with him now. But please come in! Make yourself at home!" His mother said cheerfully.
Scar then heard the front door close, and his mother walked into his room.
"So Scar- "
"I heard." Scar interrupted his mother.
His father then got up and left.
His mother followed and Scar heard his father say,
"Go ahead."
Scar's three friends walked in.
Grian was in the back.
"You know, you three are not the people I expected to visit." Scar said, laughing.
"What do you mean?" Lizzie asked.
"Well I assumed if Lizzie came so would Joel. And if Scott came then so would Jimmy."
They all laughed and then Lizzie got serious.
"Look Scar, why didn't you come to school?" Lizzie asked.
"I just wasn't feeling well." Scar said.
I mean, it's basically the truth.
Lizzie sighed, "Fine. If you won't tell us..."
She grabbed Scott's hand, "We'll leave."
She said and she and Scott walked out.
Grian looked from Scar to his friends and when he turned towards Scott and Lizzie, she held up her other hand.
"We'll be right back G. We're going to talk to Scar's parents. You stay here and talk to Scar."
She then closed the door.
"Scar, look..." Grian started but then he paused.
Scar felt like crying.
Oh Lizzie why did you have to do this.
"I'm sorry." Scar said at the same time Grian apologized.
They laughed.
"You go." They both said and then they paused.
Scar decided to talk first, "Grian... I'm so, so sorry about what I did. We're just friends. Best friends. And I ruined that."
Grian blushed, "Scar. Did..." He cleared his throat, "Did you not want to be friends anymore?"
Scar's breath started rushing as he saw tears form in Grian's eyes.
"No, I..."
"If that's what you want... then I'll... we..." Grian wiped his eyes, "We don't have to be friends."
"Please, Grian." Scar got up and held Grian's hands.
Grian yanked his hands back and sighed, "Scar I want you to be happy and if that means that you don't want to be friends... then so be it."
Scar felt his heart break.
Grian then grabbed the door handle and Scar grabbed his other hand.
"Scar, please stop- "
Grian was cut off by Scar's lips against his.
