Scarian: As Read As The Sweater
Grian's Perspective-
Grian walked into writing class.
"Hey G!" Bdubs smiled as Grian walked past him and sat down.
"How're you doing?" He asked.
Grian shrugged, looking at the door.
"Are you okay?" Bdubs asked, looking at the door as well.
"Fine." Grian said, not taking his eyes off of the door.
But then the bell rang, and Mrs. Pollens closed the door.
Wait, where's Scar?
Grian bit his lip.
I wanted to talk to him.
"Please stand for the pledge." Mrs. Pollens said.
The class stood and Grian looked at the door.
He probably didn't show because of me. It's all my fault for not saying anything or doing anything.
They sat down and everyone got out their laptops.
Martyn wasn't at school since he had to spend the class in ISS.
Grian pulled out his fairytale.
It was a story about two guys who ruled Empires.
One lived in the swamp and was part fish who loved a guy who lived in the snowy mountains and was just as cold as them.
He based the characters off of his friends.
Grian started typing and at the end of class he finished two whole chapters.
God these are absolute shit.
Grian thought.
While everyone was packing up, Grian spent another minute or so deleting all that he had written.
It was too bad.
In fact, it was terrible.
Stupid fucking writers block. Stupid fucking BRAIN for getting distracted!
Bdubs walked up to Grian and saw what he was doing.
"Woah, woah! What're you doing?" He shouted, startling Grian.
Grian turned to face Bdubs, and he gasped.
"Grian, you don't look okay."
Grian sniffed.
He had been talking himself down about what had happened with Scar the whole class that tears were coming down his face.
"What's wrong?" Bdubs asked seriously.
Grian wiped his eyes, "Nothing."
He shut off his computer.
"Nothing." He repeated.
"Yeah, you look fine." Bdubs said sarcastically.
"Please don't tell anyone about this." Grian said, grabbing his stuff.
Bdubs looked concerned.
"Please." Grian begged.
Bdubs nodded but Grian was sure he was going to tell someone.
"Grian... I don't know. I feel like I need to tell someone." Bdubs said, "Can I at least tell- "
"DON'T TELL SCAR!" Grian shouted.
Bdubs looked shocked, "I- I wasn't going to tell Scar but now that you mention- "
"You can tell Timmy. Just- "
Grian was cut off by the bell ringing and he didn't get a chance to tell Bdubs not to tell Scar.
Oh fuck, oh fuck, he's going to tell Scar. My life is over. I just want to die in a fucking hole.
-
Grian sat down at his lunch table.
His friends were already at their spots and by the looks on their faces, they knew that he was crying earlier.
"What." He snapped at them, death glaring them all.
They looked at each other nervously.
"Well don't just fucking sit there! Go ahead! Spit it out! Tell me about how you know I was crying in class and ask me what's wrong." Grian rolled his eyes.
Lizzie got up and moved next to Grian.
She didn't always seem like it, but she's very good at comforting her friends and being the shoulder they need to lean on.
"What's wrong, Grian?" She whispered to him.
Joel, Scott, and Jimmy started up a mini conversation to give Grian and Lizzie privacy.
Lizzie then rubbed Grian's back and he leaned his head on her shoulder, crying.
"I just fucking h-hate it." He sobbed, "Scar's not here today and yesterday he kissed me, and I didn't do anything and now he fucking hates me and now our friendship is fucking ruined and he'll never fucking talk to me- "
"Hey, hey, hey." Lizzie cut him off, "I need you to calm down, alright?"
She then looked Grian in the eyes.
"Deep breaths." She said, "In."
She took a deep breath and Grian followed.
"And out." She breathed out and Grian did the same.
"Better?" Lizzie smiled.
Grian nodded.
"Now tell me calmly what happened."
Grian took another deep breath and recited yesterday.
At the end Lizzie nodded.
"So you didn't say or do anything and you think he hates you." She said.
Grian nodded.
Lizzie then smiled, "Well, I gotta tell you Grian, but he loves you."
"I know that now, but there's no chance. We'll probably never fucking speak to each other again and my life is fucking over. The man that I love is going to leave me."
"And how do you know that?" Lizzie asked.
Grian hesitated, "I just... well it's obvious."
Lizzie laughed, "It's obvious that you guys love each other, and this is a rough patch you're going through."
Grian nodded.
Lizzie took out her phone.
"Are you doing any clubs after school?" She asked Grian who shook his head.
"Alright, you are now." She smiled.
"What do you mean?"
"Let's just say we're going to need a ride." She winked at Grian who got nervous.
