RenDoc: Revenge
Ren's Perspective-
Ren got home from school and his phone was bouncing off the walls.
He sighed and saw that Tina had posted something else.
Well, not just Tina, but the whole group had.
The group seemed to have resorted to photoshopping, but it was still convincing people.
Ren scoffed and balled his hand into a fist.
He then texted Doc.
'Alright, Tina did exactly as I thought she would.'
Ren said, pacing around his room.
I guess we just have to go with my plan...that is if Doc's okay with it.
The more Ren thought about it, the worse his plan seemed.
Doc probably wouldn't want to do it and it's a weird thing to ask.
Ren jumped as his phone rang.
It was Doc.
"H-hello?" Ren answered it.
"Hey Ren. Have you seen Twitter?"
"Yep. My phone won't shut up."
Doc chuckled, "Did Tina do what you thought she'd do?"
Ren nodded, "Yeah, and I know what to do to get her to stop."
"What's that?"
Ren bit his lip, "Well... it- it's a... you might not want to."
"I don't even know what it is!" Doc shouted before laughing, "Just tell me what it is. Is it a bad plan? Do you not want to do it?"
"No, I just... I think the way to make them stop is- "
"Ren? Are you home?"
Ren cut himself off and his mother walked into his room.
She was holding groceries and her work backpack that was normally full of papers and her laptop.
"Sorry Doc, I gotta go."
Ren hung up and looked at his mom.
"Ren, have you finished your homework?"
"I just got home."
"Well, I would rather you get your homework done before you talk to your friends."
"Okay." Ren said, walking into the kitchen with his mom.
"How's Martyn doing?" She asked as they started unpacking the food.
"Oh, I wasn't talking with Martyn."
"Who were you talking to then?"
"Doc. He's a new friend of mine. We have to work on a project together."
His mother hummed and nodded, "What's he like?"
"He's nice."
She raised her eyebrow.
"Just a friend." Ren said.
"So you guys met because of a project?"
Ren hesitated, "...yeah."
His mom laughed.
"What?! I'm telling the truth. We became friends because of a project."
His mother shrugged and said, "I can finish this up, you get your homework done."
Ren walked into his room and took out his math homework.
He turned his phone off to silence all of the notifications from Twitter and Facebook.
Little did he know he was also silencing the very concerned Doc.
The Next Day-
"So what's the plan?" Doc asked Ren in science.
"Oh yeah." Ren said, typing stuff into the PowerPoint.
He tried to distract himself.
"Ren?"
Ren took a deep breath.
"All we have to do." Ren said, fidgeting with his hands, "is act like we're dating."
They fell into silence.
After a minute, Doc clicked his tongue and said, "I- "
"It's fine if you don't want to do it." Ren interrupted, "It makes perfect sense. Besides, we're just friends."
"I was going to say that it seems like a good idea." Doc said, "I mean, the only way to stop the rumors going around about us dating is to actually go out."
Ren's face turned red, and Doc added, "But as friends! Just- just friends."
Ren smirked, "Alright, all we have to do is hang out outside of school, take pictures of us together and post it. Everyone will end up seeing and it and then we can just stay as friends."
Doc nodded and they continued on their project.
It seemed like a simple plan.
Little did they know that there was a huge consequence for this.
