Uraraka woke up to her alarm she turned and looked at her clock. Her
eyes open a crack. 6:15 am. She tapped her phone's alarm off. It
stopped vibrating on the bedside table, and she turned on her back her
eyes still heavy. The golden sunrise streamed through her windows, but
she was too depressed to enjoy it. She lifted her arm and saw nothing
but skin, no message from last night or a good morning. She sighed as
she sat up in bed. It had been 3 weeks since she had even heard from
him. After that day in the cafeteria, he had been silent. She tried
for two weeks to get a rise out of him, get him to talk but he just
didn't. She threw off her covers and swung her legs off the side of
her bed. She looked at the pink pen on her bedside table. It sat there
collecting dust for the past week. She stopped writing to him a week
ago, she got nothing in response when she did, so she was advised by
Kirishima to just let him have space. She didn't understand why but
she felt like Kirishima knew what he was talking about. She got up,
ignoring the pen and any idea of speaking to him. She walked into her
bathroom and started getting ready, turning on the water before
stripping down out of her pj's. She looked in her mirror above her
sink. Her hair was a mess, strands sticking all over the place. She
shook her head and climbed in, the hot water soothing her tired body.
She stood there embracing the water. She grabbed her body wash and
started cleaning off before running her hands through her wet hair.
Her nails touching the back of her neck gingerly. She washed her hair
finishing up, and stepped out the shower. She wrapped a towel around
her wet body and walked over to her basin. The mirror was misted up,
she swiped her hand across it revealing her reflection. Her hair
sticking to her face, but it was better than it was when she woke up.
She picked up her toothbrush and opened her tap as she applied
toothpaste, dipping it under the tap before she lifted the brush to
her mouth and brushed her teeth. She finished up and walked to her
closet to get dressed in her uniform. Her mind wandered to her Red
String. She was tempted to write to him many times. She missed him,
she couldn't lie about that, but she had to press on. Once she was
dressed she grabbed her bag looking at the pink pen once more. She
sighed and grabbed it shoving it in her bag. She arrived downstairs
and walked into the kitchen and grabbed some bread and put it in the
toaster. She was one of the students that woke up this early, but she
wasn't surprised if people walked into the kitchen. She waited for
her toast patiently as she heard footsteps come in.

"Ug, great," she heard a voice grumble, "I'll come back." she turned
to see the ash blonde teenager turning to walk away.
"Bakugou, wait," she said and he stopped. "Did you want to make
breakfast?" she asked dumbly.
"Well it is 7 in the morning, I didn't plan on making a cake," He spat
looking at her through the corner of his eye, turning his head
slightly. Uraraka giggled at his remark, making him scoff angrily.
"I can make you some while I'm here," she smiled. He scoffed looking
away immediately.
"I'm not hungry so no," he grumbled, but froze when his belly did the same.
"Seems that way to me," she giggled, "come on, I can make eggs and
then some toast. It's not much but it's at least something since I'm making anyway." she smiled. Bakugou looked as if he were mulling it over until finally, he gave in.
"Fine, but scrambled eggs," he grumbled. She smiled and started
getting busy with breakfast. Bakugou leaned against a counter while
she made breakfast. She felt his eyes on her the whole time. She
finished quickly and handed him his plate of toast with scrambled
eggs. He took it with a grunt of thanks. She walked to the dining
room as a few students started walked around the dorm, some in Pj's
some in uniform. She sat and peacefully ate her breakfast. Bakugou sat
across from her, not looking up. He was interestingly nice for once,
well as nice as he could be considering the circumstances.
She looked down at her arm reflexively, sighing at the fact that he
hasn't spoken to her in a week. She felt his absence every day, her heart
broke when she thought about their conversations. She didn't even know
who he was but she missed him.
"You waiting for your Red String to wake up?" Bakugou asked. Her head
shot up as she placed her hand on her arm.
"Uhm, he hasn't spoken to me in weeks, so no," She said, faking a smile.
"Why not?" he asked, holding eye contact.
"Oh I don't actually know, he just stopped talking one day, so I just
assume he's found someone or he just got tired of me, I don't know,"
she shrugged. "I'll see you in class Bakugou." she smiled as she got
up with her plate. After she finished cleaning up she walked out of
the dorms to school thinking about what happened. That had been her
first real conversation with Bakugou, and he wasn't swearing or
screaming at her. He seemed concerned actually. She smiled at the
thought.
"Maybe he's getting better at being normal," she giggled to herself.

"Uraraka!" a voice called. It was lunch time and she had been sitting
by herself at her table. She turned to look at the voice calling her,
a green haired boy walked towards her smiling, lunch tray in his hand,
she smiled as Deku sat down next to her. Following him to the table
was Tsyuu, Todoroki and Tenya. They sat around the brunette.
"Hi guys," She smiled looking around the table.
"So I saw you and Bakugou in the dining room alone this morning, what
was that about?" Tsyuu asked giving her friend a questioning look.
Deku looked surprised and whipped his head to look at Uraraka.
"We were awake around the same time, I offered to make breakfast since
I was already making, and we both just sat in the dining room and ate,
nothing big," She smiled nervously. The conversation continued as they
ate, moving onto different topics, but she felt Deku's gaze on her
every few minutes. The bell rang for class a few minutes later and
everyone stood and started walking to class. Everyone except Deku. He
reached out as Uraraka stood, catching her hand.
"Wait, please," he said softly, his head low.
"Deku?" She asked, her face filling with concern.
"Can- Can I talk to you?" He said looking up at her, she felt her face
heat up as a blush spread across her cheeks.
"Of course, Deku, what's up?" she smiled nervously.
"Not here, but can you meet me after school?" he asked, a blush on his
face. The sight of it made hers deepen.
"Where?" she stuttered.
"I'll meet you outside class and then you can follow me okay?" he said
looking away momentarily. He let go of her hand he'd been holding this
whole time, standing to be eye level with the brunette.
"Oh o-okay," she stammered some more.
"I'll see you then, okay?" he smiled walking away without waiting for
an answer. She stood there watching after him alone. She started
walking to the classroom, her mind racing about what he wanted to talk
about. She arrived in class just before the lesson started. She sat
through the lessons barely able to concentrate. She reached into her
bag grabbing the pink pen and popping the cap off. She placed the tip
of the marker on her fingertips, circling her pads that helped her use
her quirk. She moved down her hand to her arm, drawing swirls and
patterns down her arm. She had forgotten that her red string could see
it too. She sighed when she realized. Not like he's going to do anything
about it anyway, she thought sadly putting the pen's cap back on. The
class was dismissed shortly after, and she started packing up.
"Uraraka!" a friendly voice said in front of her. The red haired boy
smiled a sharp toothy grin.
"Kirishima," she smiled back.
"Are you gonna come with me and Ashido to get snacks for tonight?" he
grinned, "you owe us since you didn't even join us for movie night last
week." It was Thursday, it was supposed to be movie night in their
dorm, she had skipped it the past week because she wasn't feeling up
to it.
"Sorry Kirishima, I have something to do this afternoon, but if you
buy popcorn kernels I'll make the popcorn tonight!' she smiled,
"Sure, but you got to be there tonight or I'll come fetch you!" he
smiled walking off with Ashido. She stood up and waited outside the
classroom. She and Kirishima had become closer friends over the past
two years. He would often send her photos of what his Red String would
say and just talk to her about random things.

"Uraraka!" a happy voice said next to her. She smiled at Deku who
stood next to her. "Ready to go?" she nodded as he lead her outside
the school. They walked to the back of the building and he stopped.
They were alone outside the school. He turned to look at her. She
couldn't read the emotion on his face.
"Deku, are you okay?" she asked, he smiled softly at her.
"I'm okay, I'm just a little nervous is all," he chuckled, he put a
hand behind his head, and rubbed his neck. "I wanted to ask you
something, Uraraka." he started looking down.
"Yes?"
"I- I was wondering if maybe you would go somewhere with me on
Saturday-," he stammered. She smiled.
"Sure!" she interrupted.
"No no, I don't mean as friends," he said, dropping his head, "I'm
asking you on a date Uraraka." he blushed, his looked up at her
nervously.
"Deku-" he walked towards her, grabbing her hand with his, another
hand touching her cheek. Pulling her face close to his, leaning close
to her, connecting their lips. The kiss was short, sweet and his lips
were soft. Her eyes were wide and she felt a blush push creep up on
her face. He pulled away, looking deep into her eyes.
"Ochaco Uraraka, I'm in love with you," he said softly. She gasped audibly.
"You- You love me?" she whispered. He nodded softly, looking at her
through his eyelashes.
"I know it's sudden, but I'd really appreciate it if you accepted my
confession and went out on a date with me?" he asked quietly.
"Uhm-" she stuttered. He let go and moved back, standing straight,
towering over her. He dropped his head and sighed.
"You don't have to, I apologize for being so forward," he said.
"I- I don't mind Deku," she said, causing him to look up at her. "I
just wasn't expecting this, I'll go with you on Saturday." she
blushed.
"Really?" he exclaimed. She nodded and his face lit up. He moved to
her wrapping his arms around her waist, lifting her up and spinning
her. She was sent into a fit of giggles as he swung her around in
circles. He held her tightly, his face buried in her chest. Deku
stumbled over his own feet and they started to fall. Uraraka
reflexively grabbed his shoulder and activated her quirk, allowing the
two to float before they landed on the ground. Deku looked up at her a
blush on their faces. He looked down and saw they were floating pretty
high off the ground, laughing at her reflexes. She laughed too.
"Want me to put us down?" she giggled.
"We could get hurt," he said, "I don't want you hurt."
"How's your shock resistance?" she asked looking down at the boy.
"Okay I guess?" he questioned.
"I've gotten used to doing this when i fall, so I learned to get
better at dropping myself carefully," she smiled, "It can hurt
sometimes though. Hold on!" she exclaimed releasing her quirk as they
fell. She activated it every one and a while before releasing, trying
to soften their landing. Deku braced himself for the ground as they
approached. She activated her quirk once more as they were a few
inches above the ground and then released once more. Deku placed his
feet on the ground, trying to make sure he didn't hurt either of them
as he landed. When they were safely on the ground he let her down and
stepped away.
"I think we should head to the dorm now," he smiled. She smiled back
nodding, they started heading back in silence. Side by side, Uraraka's
heart beating fast at the prospect of a date.
