Cast of Characters: Warnings, and Glossary
This chapter is not aesthetic, but only here as an extra.
The full version is on Inkspired first if you want to read ahead. This is the long chapter version with one fewer named character, and eight less than the current version of Darkness and Beauty. It has major plot differences from Darkness, and the side characters were renamed for clarity. The main pregnancy plot has been removed.

No Artificial Intelligence was used in Janky's writing other than basic spelling and grammar checkers before it was handed to editors and beta readers. Mrs. Fluffy is just naturally weird.
Any grammar issues left were caused by time travelers and brain gremlins.
Thoughts are separated by single quotation marks. 'Hi.' This is to make reading easier because italics are difficult for neurodivergent readers to see.

Select characters were created in 2000.
Dedication: For my family. If you recognize anyone in this fictionalized novel, you have a strange imagination.
*
Warnings: This is not a trigger warning, but a content warning.
The book contains no spicy times and is not mature. If you are looking for explicit fiction, this isn't it.
It's fade-to-black.
Content warnings: If you're traumatized by fiction with a lack of spicy times, you've been warned. Conform or Suffer is a 14+ fade-to-black with mild innuendo.
There are fertility struggles, executions, abuse, trauma, rainbow babies, and mentions of human trafficking.
The main romance is straight, but the secondary relationship is about a lesbian couple. The author is a Christian, and a loved one requested wholesome LGBTQ+ characters that didn't die.
This book is also on Inkspired and the difference is that Inkspired has one more character.
The old version of this novel is now called Darkness of Beauty, and it's set in another universe.
The first book is titled Uglier, and it originated on Kobo and Barnes & Noble but can be found on Inkspired and Wattpad. Each book can be read as a standalone.
A Note From Grew-Ella
Janky begged me to write this, and I couldn't say no to a friend.
This is the Inkspired special edition, and Inkspired will get this version before it's posted on any other platform.
If you enjoyed any chapters, give a four-star or five-star review, but here is the strange part.
We are very different people.
Biography
