Chapter 44 - MunchyMC
(T/W for blood and gore)
(Sorry for the week or so of inactiveness, I got hit hard by the bus of lack of motivation TwT)
POV: Grian
Location: The Admin HQ
As I looked into Bad's glowing white eyes, I saw truthfulness in their bright depths. "I see," I quietly responded.
"Look, I'll tell you all about it after we save my server," he said, pulling out a glowing diamond sword.
"Of course," I replied, brandishing my sharp obsidian blade.
He turned and ran through the portal with me right behind him.
————————————————————
MunchyMC was a mess. The blue glass that made up the faux ocean wave was covered in holes from explosions. The wooden ship that made up spawn was covered in debris from explosions that were already being fixed by the Admins. The city below the wave and ship was partially on fire and seemed a lot less beautiful than it normally was.
Bad ran forward, his glowing eyes wide as he took in the sight of his destroyed server. Skeppy walked up to him and protectingly placed a hand on his shoulder, clearly hoping to comfort him. "The server is locked to players, right?" he asked.
Bad glanced at his communicator and nodded. "Only Admins are allowed to enter anymore," he quietly replied.
"Let's take down these Watchers," Myriel announced, her gaze sweeping over the gathered Admins.
Just on cue, various hues of dark magic began to fire at us. I swiftly blocked a blast of silver magic while Mumbo smoothly blasted a Watcher out of the sky with his red magic.
I chuckled quietly to myself as he stared in surprise at his hands, his eyes now glowing red. He was always surprised at his newfound magic.
Returning my focus to the Watchers, I ran across the bow of the ship and jumped off, summoning my large white wings midair.
I barrel-rolled out of the way of a falling Watcher and flew toward the burning city.
A weight suddenly appeared on my back, forcing me to crash land on the sand. By some miracle, my hood didn't fall off.
I waved my hand and pushed the unidentified weight off of me with magic, rolling away. I jumped to my feet and finally saw who I was facing: Xalum Joe Hills.
I narrowed my eyes under the black mask as I summoned my obsidian blade back to my grasp.
Xalum has a sly grin on his face as he looked toward me, his dark purple veins pulsing slightly with magic.
I wasn't a match for him, and we both knew it.
He sent a beam of dark purple light at me, forcing me to dodge. I shot a blast of golden magic at him, but he easily blocked it.
Xalum ran forward, the obsidian blade in his grasp glinting in the sunlight. He raised it and swung down toward me. I raised my blade to block but was not expecting him to attack again so soon. Before I could react, his blade struck my left forearm, drawing blood in a thin line. I pushed him away and backed away, gritting my teeth against the pain in my arm.
A blast of red magic flew past Xalum, barely missing him and striking the ground in front of him, scorching it. We looked up to see Mumbo dropping down toward us, his hands and eyes glowing red.
I backed away as Xalum and Mumbo began their fight. I had to get out of there before Xalum sapped my golden magic anymore.
I spread my white wings and flew off in search of another opponent.
Most Watchers that saw me coming their way scattered, not wanting to fight the Prime Admin. Any Watchers that were foolish enough to try and fight me got blasted out of the sky.
My eyes widened slightly as I sensed a blast of powerful magic coming my way. I barely maneuvered in time for the dark golden magic to strike my shoulder rather than my wing. I gasped quietly in pain as I held the burned shoulder, but I didn't show any other signs of weakness as I stared down at the Watcher who hit me.
There, in between a tall tree and a large birch and oak building, stood a tall Watcher with large golden and purple wings and a hood covering his features besides a mask with three points on the top and two protruding diagonally from the bottom corners. It was the Elite Watcher.
I tucked in my white wings and dropped down to the stone and gravel floor, causing it to shake slightly from the impact.
Once I had landed, I stood to my full height, which, unfortunately, was a good eight inches shorter than the Elite. I hid my wings to make this fight easier for me and faced the Elite Watcher.
"So," he began in Galactic. "The ever-elusive Prime Admin." A smirk grew on his face. "I wonder who's underneath that hood," he mused.
Suddenly, he lunged at me. We fell backward onto the glass ocean with me underneath the Elite.
I shot a blast of golden magic at him that he easily dodged. He pinned me down, an evil grin on his face.
Just as he reached to pull off my hood, a blast of green magic struck him, throwing him backward. The Elite jumped to his feet, backing away as he hid his own wings. I supposed he had figured out it would help not to have extra weight for others to throw around.
I looked up to see a green-wearing Admin landing in front of me. His hood was down, revealing a mess of dirty blonde locks. However, his white smiley mask was still firmly on his face.
I pushed myself to my feet as the tall Admin pulled out a diamond sword.
The Elite Watcher grinned smugly and pulled out his obsidian blade, standing tall. There, I realized that they were both about the same height, taller than me.
I brandished my own obsidian sword and went to stand by the Echelon Prasinus Admin.
"So, Dream," the Elite began in an almost mocking tone. "Here we are," he quietly said cryptically.
"Elite Watcher," Dream began, a slight smile on his face. "I don't believe we've met."
The Elite smirked. "Elite Watcher Edalvix, at your service," he replied, bowing mockingly.
Dream just smirked in response and lept forward, swinging his sword. Edalvix swiftly blocked and made a counter-attack.
I ran forward, giving the Elite two people to fight. He surprisingly did well against two opponents, a lot better than I would in a PVP match.
He swung at me, forcing me to jump backward. Immediately after I jumped out of the fight, Dream and the Elite continued fighting. I swiftly joined back in, striking Edalvix in the arm and drawing blood.
The Watcher waved an empty hand at me. To my shock, a frighteningly familiar light green magic wave flew toward me, throwing me backward. I fell to the ground, landing on my wounded shoulder. Grimacing in pain, I tried to get up. However, something was wrong. I could barely move, let alone stand up and keep fighting.
When my hood slipped off, I couldn't move to pull it back up over my dirty blonde hair. Luckily, there were many people with my color hair, and my hair was disheveled enough that no one would recognize its style. With that and my eyes being covered by my mask, my identity was safe.
I pulled myself to the stone brick railing and leaned against it, praying that Dream would be able to hold his own against the Elite Watcher.
The battle went on for surprisingly a while. They rarely actually hit each other, and when they did, the wounds were pretty bad. However, the Admin and the Watcher kept on fighting.
Edalvix swung toward Dream's arm, cutting deep into it. He yelled out in pain, backing away as he gripped his bleeding non-dominant arm.
A strange silence fell over the server. Most Watchers had surprisingly already been defeated, and the ones who hadn't been defeated were silent.
Dream stood tall, bright red blood dripping down his arm. He raised his diamond sword, pointing it directly at the Elite Watcher.
The Elite smirked and raised his own obsidian sword in the same manner, but pointing at Dream.
They both fired at the same time. Green energy met dark golden magic, causing a wave of energy to spread out from the central point.
Of course, Edalvix's magic swiftly took over Dream's, but the low-ranked Admin didn't care. In fact, he even had a smirk on his face.
Just as the dark golden magic was about to reach him, he suddenly dropped to the ground and rolled out of the way, causing the dark magic to fly off past him. Now kneeling, he raised his sword and swung down, a green trail of magic following the blade. It struck Edalvix, throwing him off to the side. He slammed into the tree, falling to the ground. The force of him being thrown was so strong there were cracks in the tree where he struck it.
Suddenly, the force holding me down disappeared, and I was able to stand. I ran to Dream's side as he stood up. As I glanced at him, I noticed a thin trail of blood dripping down the side of his face, coming from an unknown source under his white mask.
I put the thought out of my mind and turned to look toward the Elite. We hesitantly walked closer to him as he tried to push himself up but failed.
As Watchers surrounded us, ready to attack, he held up his hand to signal for them to stop, his gaze falling upon me.
He used his hand to reach up and pull down his hood. A mess of light pink hair was revealed, surprising us. However, the most surprising part was the pink pig ears protruding from either side of his head.
Dream took a step back, surprise evident in his body language.
We both knew who the Elite Watcher was.
The Elite stood up, reaching up to pull off his mask. Underneath, his strange light green eyes were fading to their normal dark blue.
"Dream, Prime Admin," Technoblade said. "I believe you have earned this," he said, handing the tri-pointed crown-shaped mask to me.
Just as I took the mask, a jolt of something ran through his body, causing his eyes to widen in surprise. He fell to his knees, his breathing ragged. Dream and I kneeled down beside him, trying to help him.
Techno grabbed onto me, meeting my gaze through the bandana. "Prime Admin," he began urgently. "Don't trust the-" He was cut off as another jolt struck his body. He fell to his side, unconscious.
Dream and I exchanged a worried glance and we both stood up. The Watchers were defeated, but there was still something else to worry about.
Myriel flew down to land just in front of me while medics flew around, trying to help everyone.
I met her gaze, frowning slightly as I pulled up my black hood. Quietly, I told her, "The Watchers were under control." Her eyes widened slightly and she nodded. She turned to look at the Admins and gave the call to take the captured Watchers back to the Admin HQ to be checked for any traces of control.
I then noticed that there were more Admins there than we had started with. I figured Myriel must've called in reinforcements from the more powerful Admins of each Echelon. The lower-ranked Admins were flying around to help the wounded Admins.
An Admin I recognized as the second most powerful member of the Niveus flew down toward me and Dream. His white, gray, and light blue astronaut suit was as pristine as ever since he hadn't been in the battle and his light blue visor was pulled down, as usual. I glanced at Dream while Gameologist gestured a medic over. There, I realized just how many wounds Dream bore. I wondered how he was still standing but was proud of him for being able to stay strong.
I looked around over the remaining Admins, spotting MegaPVP flying over to where Zelkam, BBH, Skeppy, and a6d were standing, all four of them bearing wounds.
As I looked around, I noticed that one person was missing: Joe. I let out a quiet, disappointed sigh as I realized I couldn't see Mumbo either.
The ground began to rumble, pieces of debris bouncing up a bit. I turned around and looked up.
Above us, on the cliff, stood two figures. One was wearing black while the other had a blue shirt. The one with a blue shirt had purple lightning flickering around him, causing the earthquakes.
The black figure was kicked down to lay on the edge of the cliff. The blue figure raised his obsidian sword, purple lightning crackling along its blade. To my horror, he swung down at Mumbo, a purple trail of light following the blade.
A bright flash of red light appeared just above Mumbo, forcing us to cover our eyes slightly as it fought against the purple. Even I was affected a bit by the light.
Once the flash had faded and we could see again, we looked up to see what had happened. Mumbo was pushing himself to his feet while staring down below him with wide red eyes.
I spread my white wings and flew up to them with Myriel right behind me. Once I landed, I hid my wings and looked down at an unconscious Xalum.
"Well done," Myriel said to Mumbo for me. She knew that if I spoke, Mumbo would recognize me, and all my work to hide who I was would be thrown out of the window.
Argentum Admins flew over to us and helped Mumbo secure Xalum for the trip back to the Admin HQ.
I turned and flew back down to where Technoblade was being lifted by medics.
My nurse flew down to me, worry in her gaze. Suddenly exhausted, I let her lead me to the portal back to the HQ. The other Admins were already flying through the rift and heading to the infirmary.
I hesitated just before I entered the portal, feeling someone's gaze on me. I glanced to the side then turned to look over my shoulder. I met Mumbo's gaze and realized there was confusion in their green depths. He had realized both the Prime Admin and Grian had white wings and was slowly but surely piecing things together. I figured it wouldn't be long before he connected the pieces.
I then realized I had to somehow get back onto the server after being healed before Mumbo and the others returned. I figured that was going to be a bit tricky, but I knew it was possible.
Without a word, I turned and went through the portal with my nurse.
(WC: 2467)
(A/N: I drew Technoblade the Elite Watcher on June 27th and I need to show more than two people)
(Let's say his eye is yellow and glowing because he's using golden magic... I may or may not have changed my mind about what color eyes he has after drawing this)
(Techno's clothes were hard to figure out but I managed to do it TwT)
(Yes I am actually proud of this drawing and I'm happy because of it :D)
(Uhh post your theories and stuff here if you want)
(Leave a vote if you enjoyed, bye~!)
