Day 5
It was Friday, and it honestly couldn't come fast enough.
Although she didn't have anything planned except sleep and perhaps a quick stop to the nearest Pizza Hut.
Ah, living the dream.
Sade was the first to arrive, and out of boredom decided to inspect the ridiculously cheesy posters.
Most of them- if not all- held animals and sayings to live by. Sade would never admit it, but her favourite was a tiny, rectangular shaped poster of a bulldog grinning with the words, "Smile! Have a nice day!" curved above it's head.
If she didn't know any better, she'd steal it for her own room.
But alas, she did. So on the bleak-looking wall it'd stay.
"A lazy day?"
Sade did a swift glance back before looking down at herself.
If beauty was in the eye of the beholder, pajamas from the night before were absolutely astonishing.
"You know it. Nothing says, "stunning radiance" like fuzzy frog bottoms and an old pink tank top."
It was Hasna, good ol' Hasna.
"You're here early."
"Ms.Alvarado dismissed us early."
"Early?"
"Mm-hm."
"How early?"
"Five minutes early."
Sade pried herself from her observation to sit in her usual spot. "So anyways what're you doing this weekend?"
"Well tomorrow, my father promised to bring me clothes shopping, and that's about it. You?"
"Sleep. And maybe a trip to Pizza Hut."
Hasna quirked an eyebrow. "Really? That's it?"
"I can't do much. My mom's a lawyer, and she's got a huge case she's dealing with, but it suits me fine. I could use a few extra hours of sleep."
"What case is your mother working on?"
"She wouldn't give me a lot of details, but it has something to do with sexual assault.
Her smile faded almost immediately.
"That's horrible."
"Yeah. My mom will come home super depressed and drained."
There was a horrible silence.
