"Two chocolate waffles and one banana cream pie, your total bill would be 3,655 won." She handed the small bag to the man and took the money from him. "Do come again in Min's Cafe. Have a nice day, sir." She flashed a smile before bowing politely.

"Working hard, huh Emma?"

"Wahhh! Come on, don't do this! You almost gave me a heart attack!" The girl got startled at the sudden appearance of the cafe's owner, Min Yoongi.

"Haha, sorry. But why are you still here? Today you wanted to leave early right? So where's your replacement?"

"Ahh yes! I was just about to call him. Don't worry, I've got this." With that she left the counter and headed inside the kitchen to find a man, swaying with the beats of the music blasting in his ears. She smiled as the scene in front of her was equally cute as well as hilarious. She went towards him and tugged on his shirt to make him sense her presence to which he pulled the headphones from his ears.

"Hey!"

"You're late and you're saying 'hey'? You're supposed to be at the counter by now, remember?"

"Oh yeah right! Sorry." He said somewhat in embarrassment.

"Now come on!"

"Where are you going by the way?" entered a third voice.

"Oh, hey Hobi oppa! Actually, I am not going anywhere. My brother is going out on his first date. So basically he's begging me to help him prepare himself for his big day." She spoke in an obvious tone.

"Oh! Typical Kookie!" The guy named Hoseok laughed while placing the cookies carefully into the oven.

"So shall we?" Emma looked at the other guy who was gawking at her like an alien. "What are you listening anyways?" She took his headphones before he could protest and a surprised smile appeared on her face as soon as she wore them. "Park Jimin! Woah! I never thought you'd be a Jimin fanboy, Tae."

The boy's face became a bowl of tomato sauce as he scratched his head, not knowing how to respond.

"Emma, he literally worships him!" The other guy spoke out of nowhere to which the younger one just frowned. "Hyung!"

"Ok ok! Now come on! I'm already late! That bunny might rush here any moment." With that both of them made their way outside where a new boy had made his appearance and was looking straight towards the girl with a frown.

"Noona, you're late!"

"Yah! I'm late for this guy. So shower your anger on him."

"Sorry." The guy spoke with a cute frown to which both the siblings' anger just melted away.

"It's alright, cheer up cutie." She spoke while pulling his cheeks lightly, bringing a shade of red on them.

"Can we go if you two are done with your shit?"

"Hey! Behave yourself idiot! Just wait here, I need to get my things."

"Noona!" The boy gave a disbelieving look before following his sister, leaving the other guy still flustered.

"You should just tell her you know."

"Hmph!" He jumped at the sudden show up of none other than his Hobi hyung. "Hyung, stop scaring me like this, will you?"

"You gotta tell her." He spoke, completely ignoring his words.

"What?"

"Your feelings!"

"Uh.........it's nothing, we're just friends.....?" His voice came out more like a question.

The older guy just raised a brow. Out of nowhere he took his phone, typed something and then placed his headphones on his ears.

"What are you doing?"

"Shh! Just listen!"

"What?"

"Serendipity by Park Jimin."

"Why?"

"Just relate the song to yourself. If you think it's rubbish, then just drop it." Taehyung didn't budge, so Hoseok continued, "If you think it's not, then as soon as she appears through that door, you'll go to her and ask her out, got it?" The man just nodded frantically.

There she came out with her brother constantly bickering with her. Taehyung went towards her and called her out. "Emma!"

"Yeah Tae!"

"Can we talk for two minutes.........in private?" His heart was throbbing the hell out of him and feet were shaking vigorously, yet he never faltered.

"Uhh..........sure." She was confused but she never hesitated, as she told Junkook to wait for her outside.

"I want you to........gooutwithme!"

"Sorry, but I didn't get you."

"I mean you and I could...........hang out."

She giggled at his words before saying, "Tae, we do that quite often; why ask though? Feels like you're asking me on a date. Wait! Are you?" She looked at him, expecting a good answer. Her assumption turned out to be true as she saw him nodding at the speed of light and she couldn't help but smile at his goofiness. "Well.............I think we should.......................go! I'll come." She spoke with a very heart warming smile.

He tried his best to keep his calm composure as his whole body felt like collapsing out of the overwhelming joy which had surrounded his entire being. "So, day after tomorrow, Friday?"

"Friday!" Flashing another sweet smile, she rushed to her brother who wanted to kill her by then.

"Wow that went smooth." Hoseok came and slid his arm around his friend's shoulder. "You know, she's someone who, despite everything, will always accept you as who you are."

Taehyung could feel the sincerity in his voice and he was grateful to have a friend like him who'd always be there for him and guide him at times like an elder brother. He couldn't even imagine his life without him. "Thank you hyung!"

"Come on now! Let's get back to work. By the way, you free tomorrow?"

"No, I was thinking to visit Dr. Kim tomorrow morning. It's been six months, so............"

"Oh right! You want me to accompany you?"

"No, it's fine. I can manage." He flashed a reassuring smile.

He was about to enter into his apartment with a very tired face as all he wanted was to sleep. "Hey Tai Lung!" A very familiar voice called him out and he could do nothing but let out a big sigh.

"It's Taehyung." He spoke lazily as he turned around.

"Whatever!" The man who seemed quite older, shrugged as he continued, "Remember you owe me 500 won? When are you gonna repay me? I need it now."

"Ahh, Jin hyung, can I pay you tomorrow? I am really really tired today."

"Yah! How long are you gonna make me wait huh?"

"In case you don't remember, you yourself gave me a week's time to repay you when I borrowed it." His face was expressionless as he said that.

"When did I say that?" He screamed dramatically, his voice reaching to its peak and eyes bulging out of its sockets.

"I'll pay you tomorrow, I promise! Please, spare me today!"

"Alright! But make sure that you make no excuse tomorrow." With that he walked into his apartment and shut the door.

"He knows that very well but can't even remember my name. Strange neighbour!" He rolled his eyes before walking into his apartment.

"Hey Dr. Kim!" He said in a jolly voice.

"Ahh! Hello Taehyung!" The man in the white coat, Kim Namjoon, as his nameplate suggested; answered with equal enthusiasm. "How are you feeling lately?"

"Very well actually! It's like that it never happened. Yeah, but I still do get nightmares sometimes."

"Do they bother you?"

"Nope, I've learned to adapt myself to them and besides they're just nightmares."

"Hmmm..........During these six months, did you ever feel, you know, differently, like change in behaviour or something?" The man looked at him cautiously, hoping to get the most positive response.

"Mmmhh.......I did find it difficult to accept everything all over again. After that incident, I was totally blank. But gradually everything turned out fine. You know Hobi hyung and Emma was always there for me and I don't think I ever felt differently or something."

"That's very good." The man sighed out of relief.

"I guess I'll get going then. Thank you doctor for everything you've done for me."

"It's my job. You don't have to thank me."

lHe flashed one last smile before moving out.

As soon as Taehyung exited, Namjoon's smile faded and was replaced with distress. "I just hope that he never knows the truth; what actually happened to him."

wow!!!!!! now can I just say that this is my first ever official chapter which is not too lengthy???

anyways here goes the 1st chappy, 2nd and 3rd chappy will be out quite soon, since it's a short story so there'll be only 3 chapters and don't worry this one's not gonna be like my first book "So Far Away" I know I hardly upload it; it's been a year since I started it and I know I should've actually finished it by now I know I've lost more than half of the readers of that book I understand but I don't know when I'll upload the next chapter but I'll surely upload, just not now, and thank you so so so so sooooooooooo, let's say infinity, much to stick around with me till now😫
