(14) THE FINALE.

Yeonjun and Miyeon watched as Jooseok was escorted out of the company building by the police, the girl holding his hand as she felt his breathing relax.

"That's one problem gone." She sighed, Yeonjun laughing in response.

"Yeah, now we gotta clear your name." He said, causing Miyeon to roll her eyes — "I mean unless you ARE dating Wooyoung."

She looked at him with a what the fuck expression, Yeonjun looking at her as he sipped his coffee.

"Baby he's gay."

The male giggled in response, blushing lightly from the pet-name. He grabbed her hand and the two walked out of the lobby, now outside and on their way to Wooyoung's job.

They wore masks and hoodies out in public, which worked out in their favor as the cold weather made everyone else want to do the same.

"Junie.." Miyeon began, her voice in a questioning manner.

He liked how she said his name, the letters rolling off her tongue in the prettiest way, "Yeah?"

"I never asked you who you were staying with when you were gone." She finished, looking at her non-official boyfriend's eyes — the only thing of his not hidden in their disguise aside from his eyebrow ring.

Yeonjun gasped cutely, "You're right I forgot to tell you!"

"I was staying with my cousin. He works at a hair salon so he kept begging me to let him dye my hair." He laughed, "His name's Sunoo."

"He must be good to you." She commented.

Yeonjun smiled softly, "He's the only family I trust."

Miyeon smiled at him talking about good people in his life. She felt happy to know it wasn't all bad for him.

"What about you, do you have any family you trust?" He asked her, to which she nodded.

"When my parents died, I was just starting High School." She looked down at her feet as they walked, "They separated my little brother from me because I was too young to take care of him — and no one really wanted to adopt a high school senior."

Yeonjun looked at her with sympathy, "Do you still have contact with him?"

She smiled, "Yeah, he's on his last year of high school now. He says he's made a lot of friends and can't wait to come and see me."

The male smiled at that, "What was your relationship like before?"

Miyeon's eyes lit up as she shared part of her with Yeonjun, the male truly interested in her life story and nodding along cutely.

"Mark was an annoying little shit, but he's a good brother. When the workers came to take us he kept trying to comfort me in the car, which was sweet but it was as if he forgot that they were his parents too."

Yeonjun laughed quietly, "Seems like being a sweetheart runs in the family."

Miyeon kissed his cheek before walking again.

They finally reached Wooyoung's job, the boy in a mask as an attempt to avoid questions by locals as he scanned their groceries.

He looked at the door, immediately noticing the couple watching him curiously.

"You can wait over there." Wooyoung tilted his head towards a smaller office area behind the registers, probably where they cashed checks.

After some time, the youngest of the three took his lunch break. He sat down in one of the many rolling chairs and scoot in front of the two.

He then gasped dramatically, "Okay now what the hell are we gonna do about...that?"

Yeonjun bursted into laughter while Miyeon scoffed.

"Don't say it like that, you make it seem like I'm ugly or something."

Wooyoung rolled his eyes, "You know what I meant."

After bickering for a few moments, the two were finally interrupted by the red-haired male.

"Wooyoung, are you comfortable with your sexuality?" He suddenly asked, the male taken aback.

Miyeon and her best friend looked at each other, before she smiled at him.

You can be, if you want to. Her eyes told, Wooyoung smiling shyly before looking away.

Wooyoung had always been nervous when it came to his sexuality, heart thumping in his chest when anyone new ever found out about the part of him he had always wanted to hide.

"I-I don't know." He mumbled, Yeonjun nodding in reply.

"If you don't feel ready, we don't have to do it that way." He grinned, "But also know that there's no reason to feel ashamed with the way you were born. You can't change that about yourself so you should embrace it."

Miyeon looked at him in shock, Wooyoung smiling in admiration.

He was used to Miyeon and other friends he met saying so, but never his rockstar celebrity crush who somehow ended up with his best friend in a grocery store as his fake girlfriend.

Or was she even his fake girlfriend anymore.

He didn't know.

What he did know was that someone you look up to telling you to embrace yourself without any look of disgust really did wonders.

And what he did next was something he would remember for the rest of his life.

Felix smiled at his phone.

He did it.

For as long as Felix knew Wooyoung, he'd never once seen the older express himself confidently in public — hell, when he came out to Wooyoung the boy didn't even tell him he was gay as well.

When it came to the lavender-haired, he never felt safe enough to tell you unless you were someone he trusted with his life.

In a way, he wasn't wrong to feel like that.

One of Wooyoung's greatest fears was always being on the front page of a newspaper with funeral service information, the very thing he wanted so badly to be happy with being what ended in his death.

Felix understood that.

He himself was kicked out of his home at the age of seventeen, being forced to live secretly in Hyunjin's bedroom for almost three months before his birthday finally came around.

Hyunjin's parents still had no idea that even happened. The two were lucky his bathroom connected to his bedroom, and that it wasn't out of character for the longer haired one to eat dinner in his room anyway.

Felix was proud of Wooyoung.

But he hated himself.

In a way, it hurt to know that the very person that was there for you when you were at your lowest was also the person that was possibly going to be the reason of you falling from the clouds.

The blonde didn't blame Hyunjin for the drama with Changbin, but he was definitely worried.

What if I lose my best friend because of a guy?

It was a scary thought.

Knowing Changbin denied his call at the concert was bittersweet — on one hand, this meant that the boy he was in love with possibly loved him more than he had thought.

But that also meant that Felix was the reason Changbin didn't return the same feelings for his best friend.

It almost felt like betrayal.

Yet, Felix couldn't control the warmth he felt when he looked across the kitchen counters to the living room — his entire world laying on his couch fast asleep, unaware that his very existence let the younger blonde see galaxies in his own living room.

He hoped Hyunjin wouldn't hate him.

But he couldn't give up his universe for a single planet.

San giggled at Wooyoung's post, a small pinge of jealousy stabbing his heart as he looked at Yeonjun's name typed amidst the people he would simp for.

He didn't know the other very long, but he couldn't deny he felt a million and one butterflies every time he was near.

Wooyoung hadn't left his mind once since the night they met at the park — and honestly?

San didn't want him to.

The smile he got to see when he showed off his plushies, and the cute laughter he got to hear whenever he told him dumb jokes stuck to his brain like glue.

To San, Wooyoung was the cutest person he'd ever seen.

And he felt happy to see that his cute person was confident in themselves enough to post their sexuality in front of millions.

He put his phone down on the couch and stepped into his bedroom, grabbing the empty water bottle off of his stand and heading toward his trash bin.

With a slam against his living room wall, his front door was slammed open — showering his home in bright, eye-catching sunlight.

"Who's there?" He shouted, running into the living room with haste.

But the anxiety wore off when he saw an excited looking Wooyoung, the sunshine behind him making his smile even more ethereally beautiful.

His hair was practically shimmering like glitter as he stood there, one of his brown eyes directly under the sunlight as he turned slightly.

He's so pretty.

"It's just me!" Wooyoung giggled, "Did you see my post?"

San watched as the boy closed the door, smiling to himself as Wooyoung waddled over toward him.

"Yeah I saw, I'm glad you're happy." He replied, ruffling Wooyoung's hair gently.

Shyly smiling, Wooyoung looked up at San softly — his cheeks a light pink, "U-um..I really hope I haven't misinterpreted anything, but I wanted to tell you something now that I've come out I guess?"

San nodded, "Okay, what's up?"

"So I've always been really hard on myself because of my sexuality, and honestly I actually tried to just pretend I was straight for the longest. Even after I met Miyeon. I just never liked this about myself." He sighed.

"But then I met Felix, the blonde boy that was next to us at the concert." He then looked away from San's gaze, seemingly nervous.

"I don't want to lie to you, so I think it is best if I told you this before someone else did." Wooyoung mumbled, "U-um I have really strong feelings for him — BUT I'm working on getting over it! A-and I do really like being around you, you're really cute and sweet."

Wooyoung finally lifted his eyes up to San's, expecting him to be looking at him in anger or disgust.

However, he just met the gaze of someone that looked at him with adoration — dimples prominently on his cheeks as he smiled at him without any ounce of hate in this world.

San let out the sweetest laugh, "I really like you, so if you need time before you maybe wanna be in a relationship with me it's okay. I'm okay with waiting for you, Woo."

"Besides, we just met! We have a lot to learn about each other still. I'm happy just getting to know you." He smiled.

With those words, Wooyoung felt something different.

Something new, something exciting.

And he liked that feeling a lot.

"Kai you got hoes."

Beomgyu and Soobin burst into laughter, Kai sitting on the sofa looking shocked.

"Taehyun you can't just say that!" He gasped, Beomgyu laughing even harder.

He scoffed, "It's literally true! Did you see them when they saw your hair? Fainting."

"Okay sure but that doesn't mean you should call them that word! They just really liked my hair." He crossed his arms.

Yeonjun walked into the room swiftly, Soobin smirking to himself.

"Speaking of hoes." He whispered, Beomgyu starting to laugh again.

"I heard that! Don't call Miyeon a hoe ever again unless you want to die." He yelled, throwing a plushie at the leader.

Beomgyu clapped his hands together, "I think he was talking about you, Junie."

Now it was Taehyun's turn to start laughing, pointing his finger at the red-haired, "Haha he called you a hoe."

"Shut the fuck up." Yeonjun rolled his eyes playfully, laughing before jumping on top Beomgyu and swinging.

The band members watched as Yeonjun and Beomgyu fought each other on the couch, the younger yelling dramatically as if he was really being hurt.

Soobin then killed the vibe, "Now that we're all together, we should talk about the elephant in the room."

Beomgyu let out an ugly laugh, "Yeonjun we gotta talk about you."

Taehyun and Kai snickered, Soobin just sighing.

"Now that Jooseok is gone, what are we gonna do?"

And for the first time, the five realized what position they were actually in.

Jooseok was finally gone, but that didn't mean the company they were in were any different.

There was no way the company heads themselves didn't know about the emotional abuse they all went through, Yeonjun's being the worst case, and it wasn't like they could just get a new manager from the same company and expect better treatment.

If they weren't going to help them when it was Jooseok mistreating them, they wouldn't help them when it was someone new doing it.

"Well," Soobin spoke, "Our contract here needs to be renewed soon."

They all looked at each other, every last one of them thinking the same thing.

Do we want to stay here?

"Maybe I should message Jungkook." Yeonjun looked around, "He's always supported me before."

"Yeah but he's in a completely different company." Taehyun rolled his eyes.

And then they all looked at each other again, this time with a new plan.

Maybe we could leave.

Miyeon sat up in her bed, looking out of her window as she wore Yeonjun's white shirt from the night he stayed over.

He hadn't spent the night since then, but strangely, she wasn't upset with that.

In a way, it made her heart happy that he didn't expect anything sexual immediately after they'd admitted their feelings for each other on the bridge.

She felt happy when she wore his clothes, the scent of the man she'd grown feelings for filling her with indescribable comfort.

It was like he was there with her even when he wasn't, a never-ending hug from him sticking on her body like glue.

Miyeon took a moment to think about how much her life had changed in just a few months.

She never thought a Tomorrow By Together ticket she'd found on the ground at her old job would've lead her to this point, it was like fate.

Giggling to herself, she remembered Wooyoung's reaction to her finding a ticket to an already sold out concert — "You lucky bitch, I fucking hate you." He'd said.

She couldn't believe just a few months ago, she had thought Yeonjun was some overrated playboy that wasn't that interesting, his reputation an immediate turn off.

And now, he was an underrated sweetheart who had millions of stories she wouldn't get tired of hearing.

She wanted to know everything about him — every layer, every like, every dislike, every pet peeve, every memory. She wanted to hear his voice. She wanted to see his dumb, toothy grin when he thinks he said something cool. She wanted to see the judgmental look form on his face when someone said something stupid.

She wanted to see him.

She wanted to see Choi Yeonjun.

(seen; 5:31PM)

Miyeon excitedly opened her door, immediately being shocked with a peck on her lips.

She giggled and pulled him into her home, closing the door with haste — the male immediately taking the opportunity to slam her up against it.

He held one hand under her thigh, the other placed behind her head to prevent himself from hurting her against the heavy door.

Yeonjun kissed her roughly and smiled cockily against her lips, "I like when you wear my shirts."

Miyeon smiled back, her lips lightly parted as she caught her breath.
"Maybe I'll wear them more often."

He chuckled tauntingly, pulling away and teasingly moved towards her bedroom — looking back at her with that stupid confident smirk, his playful eyes telling her to follow him.

And she did.

She couldn't help but thrive in the feeling of his warmth against her skin, the soft noises and beautiful expressions he would make always made her feel safe and loved.

Yeonjun sighed as they both laid back, his arm wrapped gently underneath Miyeon's head as she cuddled up next to him.

The two looked up at the ceiling deep in thought. It wasn't an awkward silence though, more like the kind of silence you go through when you see someone you know out in public that you haven't spoken to in a while and absolutely refuse to communicate with because ew communication but you're happy that they are happy so you nod and they nod back and you just carry on with your day.

Yeah it was like that.

Mutual understanding.

"Hey Miyeon?" Yeonjun broke the silence, turning his head toward hers — his chin rubbing against her forehead.

"Hm?" She hummed.

"I'm in love with you."

I watched as she tilted her head up to look at me,
her beautiful brown eyes staring at me in awe.

I knew she would be shocked by that, anyone would've been if someone told them they were in love with them.

But I couldn't help but feel ecstatic when I saw her shocked ezpression — hell, usually she was the one shocking me.

I smiled when I watched her shocked expression turn into a soft one, her lips curling into the cutest little smile as I looked down at her.

Maybe it was the stars that twinkled in her eyes.

Maybe it was the way she leaped forward and kissed my lips.

Maybe it was the tender aftertaste of honey and sugar that danced on my lips when she pulled back.

Maybe it was how she looked at me like I was the only thing that mattered to her when she said, "I'm in love with you too."

Maybe it was just Miyeon.

But I knew then, what it was to experience a healthy love.

And to know you're truly loved, well, that's something that I hope I never lose again.

Confidently lost in the world of Lee Miyeon.

the end.
