(10) RUNAWAY.

Yellow rays of sunlight creeped through the blinds of the large window in Miyeon's bedroom, the girl opening her eyes and wincing at the bright waves straining her vision.

She sat up, looking down at the white oversized tee that had covered her upper-thigh perfectly — her tattoo peeking out just a little bit.

She yawned and looked at the messy floor, her clothes scattered all around the bedroom like a tornado came through.

I guess he left.

Miyeon pulled the bottom of the shirt again, the scent of Yeonjun's cologne still prominent against her skin; reminding her that last night wasn't just a dream.

Neither of them expected to end the night like that.

Once they'd arrived at home, Miyeon invited the anxiety-filled Yeonjun across the hall to her temporary one — not wanting the older to have to deal with another panic attack on his own.

The two did a variety of things, ranging from watching some dumb Netflix series together to attempting to cook some recipe Miyeon had found in a text message from Wooyoung — then giving up and ordering chinese food because they were both awful at cooking.

Yeonjun had asked Miyeon what song of theirs was her favorite, to which she replied with by singing the chorus and shocking the male for the thousandth time since they met.

Then they just had some insane singing battle in the living room, which then shifted to them playing Just Dance and trying to outdo each other.

And then they tried to do a dance together, Wii remotes in hand as Miyeon twirled into Yeonjun's arms happily.

They ended up getting a two star rating but they didn't mind, the girl smiling into the kiss and leading Yeonjun toward her bedroom.

Miyeon checked her phone, hoping to see a text message from the rockstar, or even just some stupid twitter post that let her know what he was up to.

She didn't.

Switching her phone off, she got out of bed and took a shower. She placed Yeonjun's shirt neatly in a drawer in her dresser, right next to the jacket he threw at her when they'd first met.

If you'd have told her she would've slept with Choi Yeonjun in a temporary home across the hall from all five members of Tomorrow By Together's place of residence she would've told you that you were fucking insane.

She didn't even know when she started liking him.

She didn't even know if he liked her too.

What she did know was that her heart broke when she turned to her side and saw that he was nowhere to be found, as if the events of last night meant nothing.

After she got dressed, she walked across the hall.

If he acts like nothing happened, I will personally slap him across the fucking face.

Miyeon knocked on the door.

"Miyeon?" Beomgyu questioned once he opened the door, sticking his head out and looking behind the girl.

And then he asked a question that started to make her worry,"Yeonjun's not with you?"

The orange-haired shifted awkwardly, "I thought he was with you guys."

If he's not with me, and he's not with his bandmates..

Could he be with Jooseok?

"I'm going to head out." Miyeon announced, "Text me if he shows up, would you?"

Beomgyu chuckled and handed Miyeon his phone, "I don't have your number dummy."

If this event had occurred literally any time before now, Miyeon would've lost her shit. She was getting her celebrity crush of three years, Choi Beomgyu's, phone number.

But now?

Miyeon nodded and let him punch in his digits, smiling at him and running off to find the man who literally never escapes her mind no matter how much she wants him to.

Choi Yeonjun.

What the fuck are you planning?

WOOYOUNG😼:
i hope you're doing
okay. i love u dummy.
(delivered; 10:38AM)

Wooyoung sighed.

He missed his best friend.

Don't misunderstand, he absolutely adored Felix — the younger offering up his home for Wooyoung without questioning a thing, happily doing skincare routines together and baking him chocolate chip cookies.

Maybe this sweetheart just loved having company.

But he wasn't nearly as close with Felix as he was with Miyeon.

Wooyoung met Miyeon when they were in middle school, bonding after she had beat the shit out of some girl for making fun of his sexuality.

He'd never felt unsafe in her presence.

She was like a firecracker, beautiful to look at but dangerous if you crossed her or people she cared about.

Wooyoung loved her for that.

He looked over at Felix in his yellow apron, his fluffy blonde hair in a soft ponytail as he grabbed eggs out of the refrigerator.

He smiled.

Felix was so cute.

Said boy suddenly froze, a pink blush growing on the top of his freckled cheeks. He smiled cutely and placed his hands over his face.

"Y-you can't just say things like that, Woo." He whined, causing Wooyoung to gasp.

I said that out loud?

Wooyoung and Felix had been friends for only a short while, the two of them meeting through Changbin only a few months prior.

But Wooyoung couldn't deny he felt something for the younger blonde, his cute personality and beautiful smile making it difficult for anyone to resist.

He hated when Felix fell asleep during their movie nights, because who could resist staring at his chubby cheeks and perfectly aligned freckles up close?

He also hated when Felix would hug and cuddle up against him at random times, because although he knew the blonde was just an affectionate person, he couldn't help but feel special when he shifted his eyes down and saw Felix looking up at him with his doe-like eyes.

But more than anything?

He hated when he'd come home work and see Changbin sitting on the couch, eating the same cookies Felix had made for him.

From the time they had met until now, Wooyoung knew Felix was into his friend from high school — maybe he thought they could grow even closer if he moved in with the younger.

But all Wooyoung had learned from living here was that love could feel like sunflowers and sugar, but could also feel like a dark abyss of agony and nothingness at the same time.
