Moving On

Chan picked up her hamburger, took another bite and chewed slowly, relishing the flavor of the freshly grilled treat. Blake sat across from her looking beautiful and munching down French fries.

Blake was fourteen years old.  Blond with blue eyes the same shade as a summer sky. His lips were the lips of an angel and he was beautiful. Every time Chan saw him it was like seeing him for the first time and her breath would catch in her throat, her heart skipping a beat.  This was her guy. She loved him deeply and with a passion only the immortal could experience.

Chan was also blond, her eyes a shade darker than Blake's. Physically she was fourteen, the same age she had been when she had been turned into a succubus. In real years she had lost count. Her body  had never had the opportunity to mature fully and she was distinctly girlish. The curve of her hips, legs and breasts promised a maturity they would never realize.

Chan scanned the crowd of fast food patrons and an older guy caught her eye. She opened her mind to  his thoughts.  He was a warehouse worker, wife, kids, house, car. "Humph" she said to herself, "Poor guy, how boring". She closed him out and immediately fixed on another.

"Hunting Babe?" Blake inquired.

Chan jumped, startled out of her concentration. She looked at him and he gave her that cherubic  smile that always made her heart beat faster.  She felt her body warm in response and she blushed. "Yeah" she replied, "maybe".

"Can't you  give it a break?" The now unhappy look in his eyes gave the lie to the smile on his lips.  Chan read his mood automatically. Blake's jealousy was again rearing it's ugly head.

"Blake" she told him. Her heart was breaking for him. It must be terrible to be the human lover to a succubus.   "You know it's not like I have a choice.  We have been over this again and again. You knew the score when you left with me."

"Yeah, I know,  but... " he looked away from her, staring at something off in the distance , "I don't know, I thought it would be different,  I thought...   just different, okay?"

Chan had heard this exact same thing many times before and she was weary of it.  "Blake, it's not something we can change,  now is it?".  "You know damned well that if I don't eat, we don't eat, and even worse I will starve out. Is that what you want?" she was feeling somewhat perturbed and it seeped out into her words and voice. Chan always got cranky when she was hungry.  "If you can't have me to yourself you don't want anyone to, right?"

Blake turned a few shades of red, getting angry himself.  "Think what ever you want Chan" he told her curtly, "You always do.  I don't know why I even try to talk to you, you can't understand anyway."  He got up from his seat at the table, "I'm going to wash up  before we leave, I'll be back in a minute".  He moved off through the crowd in the general direction of the washroom.

"God I love that Ass hat" Chan muttered under her breath.

When Blake got back from the washroom they donned their packs, threw away their trash and entered back onto the street.

"I don't like this town much" Blake told her, "It smells funny".

"Yeah" Chan replied, "I agree, it's a bit much". The smell came from the stockyards outside of town. The stench of rot and death permeated the air, "Lets get the fuck out of here and blow this burgh baby" she said to him.  A favorite line from a movie she had seen somewhere.

Despite his sour mood Blake smiled, "Yeah, lets".

The two of them wandered hand in hand in the general direction of North towards the nearest highway that would take them out of town.

The hot sunlight was baking the street and the sidewalk, the heat coming up in waves around them. It had been a record setting Midwestern summer and today It was hot enough to cook a mans soul right out of him. They had walked a few blocks when Chan stopped, tugging on Blake's hand to make him face her.

"Babe, keep up this street until you get to the highway." Chan told him, "wait there or turn left and I will catch up with you. I have to pick up a few things before we leave."

"Yeah, sure" He responded glumly. He knew what she was up to and he appreciated her effort not to rub it in his face. For now he was more than happy to let himself believe that she really was going to pick up a few things at a drug store or something. He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Be careful Chan".  Times like this scared him.  If something went wrong, if Chan got careless and he lost her, he had no idea what he would do.

Blake turned and  made his way up the street in the same direction they had been walking. He didn't look back and Chan watched  him a few moments to make sure he was really going. She needed to be sure he wasn't going to turn around and come back. Then she went  back the way they had come, back to the fast food joint they had just left. When she got there  she bought  a Coke to sip on, found a convenient corner to lounge in and dropped her pack.

She scanned each guy as they entered the restaurant. No, that one was married, that one has kids. They came and went as she gently probed the mind of each in turn. She discarded one after the other for various reasons.  Finally a good looking guy in a gray suit walked in and when she looked into his  thoughts he seemed perfect. No wife, no kids, no serious relationship. He was unattached. He was a guy that preferred serial girl friends and one night stands to settling into a relationship. He was arrogant and good looking.  A real jerk, he wouldn't be missed much and the towns female population would be better off without him.  She pounced. He made an easy target and she didn't need to put much effort into it. He liked his girls young and was already giving her the eye.

Probing gently, with a feather touch she grabbed hold of his mind. She inserted into his thoughts all the things he liked best to do with a young girl like her. She added pictures of the both of them together doing them. She poked a little here, tweaked a bit there. By the time she finished he was looking intensely at her with naked desire.

Chan gave him her sweetest smile and waited. He ordered lunch, got his numbered ticket and instead of standing back with the rest of the waiting customers, he approached her. Like a fish on a hook she reeled him in, her hunger flaring in anticipation.

"Hi" she gave him an innocent  smile, "I'm Chan".

"Well hello there Chan",  he flashed what he thought was a seductive grin, "My name is Stan, and I like what I'm seeing. You on the menu babe?"

Despite the hunger and need, Chan felt her stomach turn a little. "What a fucking sleaze" she thought  to herself. Cheesy pickup line too.  She did her best to appear shy, playing against his dominate instinct to possess her.

"Maybe, depends on what you want"  she smiled shyly.  He wanted an innocent  whore. Okay she would be an innocent whore. She would do what ever it  took to satisfy her fierce hunger and put out the fire she that burned inside her.

They ended up in  the Mens Room.  He entered first, checking to see it was clear and then taking her hand pulled her in with with him.  Finding a half clean stall he steered her inside and shut the door behind them clicking the lock. His hands were all over her, his lips on her neck. This was the part of feeding that Chan hated. She tolerated it, pretending to welcome his touch and respond to  his kisses. Pretending for him and in his head the entire time, twisting his thoughts to make her act more convincing. She anticipated every desire, every expectation and responded exactly as required,  building his desire to its peak.

His pants down around his ankles, he sat on the toilet and pulled her roughly on to his lap. She felt him enter her and her mind closed out the sights, smells and sounds. What remained was a sense of the life that pulsed through his body. His strength, his vitality. She rocked her hips feeling his passion growing, reaching towards that blessed release. Her hunger  burned in anticipation.  He reached his moment of bliss. Waves of pleasure swept him away as he released his seed into her belly. Chan found her ecstasy at the same moment and fed, sucking in all that life, that strength and vitality into herself, making it her own.

When she had finished with him, she went through his clothing quickly. His dead body was still warm and pliable which made the task easier. This is the time when the danger is greatest. Hunger sated she was more apt to get careless. Knowing this she was extra careful to keep quiet and avoid detection.

She kept anything she found that her and Blake could use. Cash, a ring, a Rolex. The rest she returned to him along with the small bag of cocaine she had found in his sock,  careful to put his wallet back exactly where she had found it. She turned to leave, thought a moment and turned back to face him. Carefully she reached down and closed the lids over his lifeless unseeing eyes. Then she left him there, dead with his pants around his ankles sitting on the toilet.

As she retrieved her back pack and got ready to leave, she stopped at the counter to pick up his lunch order.  "Why not?" she reasoned, he had already paid for it, shame to let it go to waste. She unwrapped his cheese burger and munched as she left the restaurant. Satisfying one hunger always seemed to inspire the other.

When she finally caught sight of Blake, he was sitting at the stop sign where the street met the highway. Seeing her he waved and she waved back. She felt great, alive, full of energy and life. Why shouldn't she? She had just fed and this time it had been a guy with enough youth to give her that little bit extra she craved.

"His Majesty!" she grinned at him, "Are you ready to leave this kingdom my love?" She bowed gracefully,  teasing.

Despite the his bad mood, Blake had to smile. Chan could always make him smile no matter how miserable he felt. He stood, took her in his arms and gave  her a movie style kiss, keeping the teasing fantasy alive.  "Yes my queen" he whispered, "Let us depart post haste." Anything to keep from wondering. Anything so he wouldn't have to think about what must of happened, where she might have been and with who.

Together they started off, hand in hand,  golden hair shining in the sun looking for that next ride out of town.
