Carly kicked the ball It flew over the goalie's head and Into the net. "YES!" She thought but couldn't celebrate yet the other team was now all glaring at her wondering how she kicked so fast and now the goalie was ready Carly looked at her teammate as the other team rolled the ball around to their teammates In turn Carly and her teammate Cherry both went the same direction running. Cherry stole the ball using a crisis cross method and then kicked It to Cherry who was only about 4 feet away Carly was now cornered the other team was In front of her as well as Cherry she made a hasty decision and kicked the ball backward and In that moment everything changed. The ball didn't make It. Nothing happened. No disney magic. No character arc. Not only had Carly missed the game-winning shoot but the soccer kids were now In last place In the Sports Succsessions. Oh yeah, you are probably wondering what that Is. I'll explain It quickly. The sports sessions started last year as a sports tournament against all teams In every sport the basketball kids would play basketball against the soccer kids but the soccer kids also played soccer against basketball every team had a chance to play every different sport. This tournament was a way to raise school spirit and morale the teachers added It to a pep rally and everything was fine until the leaders of the basketball team and football teams began to argue. The two were both stubborn and wouldn't let up for anything It was funny but I mean not really because this Is how the peace was disrupted the two leaders ended up making a bet they wanted to figure out which sports team was best with what teams win the most games simple enough right? no wrong. The teams were separated and each team slowly began to fall apart with the others the tournaments were not the same It felt like the people weren't having fun and found It as a way to beef with the other It even started seeming like gang wars. People got hurt lots of people. Now you're wondering why don't people just not join sports than they won't be a part of the wars. The people not a part of sports are treated worse In Smileful Academy because Smileful Academy Is a high school that Is famously known for athletes and sports sponsors, scholarships, and scouts coming to games, the non-athletic kids are scared away. In other words, this game had a lot riding On It, The soccer team will now be harassed and most likely won't get the student recommendations. Carly felt distraught like she let down the team. "We just needed one more point" Cherry placed a hand on Carly's sweaty shoulder. "Right..." Carly tried smiling "Y-y-Your right It's f-ine." Carly was on the verge of tears she couldn't help It the soccer team had been giving her a hard time ever since she tried out and now she'll be even more left out. Carly walked under the bleachers pouring water over her body she slumped down sitting on the grass head tilted back, hot, and defeated. A kid was on the bleachers watching the game rooting for her that kid was Huey he didn't know why he was at the game when he should have been at basketball practice but he wanted to see Carly In her element and for some reason he had a feeling Carly was probably somewhere annoyed he left the bleachers looking for Carly everywhere until he found her under the very bleachers he was just sitting on. "C-Carly?" He questioned. Carly was there. she was. Carly was also crying real tears. Huey didn't know how to deal with this after all he and Carly only formally met yesterday. She quickly lifted her head out of her lap wiping her tears acting as If It were her sweat "Huey!" Carly jumped. "Carly.." He responded with a face of empathy. "Don't tell me you wanna try out for soccer or something tryouts are long over!" She smiled. "Why are you even here?" She laughed trying to walk away quickly I grabbed her wrist. "Carly why were you crying?" Huey asked. Carly's eyes widened "Crying? Y-your seeing things" She Insisted but Huey noticed she hesitated. "I'm not I saw you" Huey Inhaled. He exhaled "Look Carly you did fine In the game you missed one shot honestly you were probably the star player that round" Carly looked at Huey up and down "Im good..." The girl snatched her wrist out of Huey's grasp and walked off all Huey could do was watch
