The harsh sun of the middle east was causing me to squint my eyes as I slipped out of the car along with my soon-to-be-cousin in law.

"I can't believe you booked a whole speedway just for me." Bilal gushed, once again, as we walked towards the entrance.

Considering he was marrying Saba, the guy quite humble, maybe his influence might change my ever so self centered cousin.

"I wanted you and everyone else to have fun. And it might give you chance to get to know our generation of the family better." I smile, pulling out our tickets.

"Yeah, that is if I ever get the names right." Bilal scoffed.

The guard lets us inside, shouting a few orders in Arabic to a fellow worker.

At the start of the long curvy speed are waiting a few of our family and friends members.

I make sure to avoid the lingering gaze of Mikhail.

"Finally." Zahir sighs. "Saif won't let us start without you."

"Well, this Bilal's bachelor party afterall." Saif calls out. He then walks over to us and stands in front of me. "I've got something for you."

He pulls out a set of key, attached to Lamborghini keyring.
"I booked a Lambo for you to use."

"Wait, you're not racing?" Zeeshan looks at him astonished.

Our family has been into fast cars and annual racing get togethers, and Saif had always been the proud gold taker.
And for the first time since I remember, he's pulling out.

"Yes. I'm done guys. I've been planning to pass the position at the start onto someone, and Nila is the best candidate." Saif announces.

"Thank you so much!" I squeal, not believing my luck.

"Make it worth it."

Oh, I sure will.

"Anyways, today we're going to be doing this in partners. Each of you will drive one half." Saif steps back to pull out a piece of paper.

He begins to read out the various names of the pairs he organised.

"And finally, Nila and Mikhail."
