The tragedy pt.2
After the Concert
You sat in the makeup room, glancing at the clock for what felt like the hundredth time. An hour had passed since the concert ended, and Felix still hadn't shown up. You started to wonder if he'd forgotten or changed his mind.
Just as you were about to leave, Felix burst into the room, panting and out of breath.
Felix: "Sorry! There was a problem after the concert, and I forgot something at the hotel, so I had to go back. I'm really sorry you had to wait."
You immediately stood up and guided him to sit down, handing him a bottle of water.
Y/N: "It's fine. Don't worry about it."
There was a brief moment of awkward silence as you both avoided each other's eyes.
Y/N: "So... what did you want to tell me?"
Felix fidgeted nervously, his hands tightening around the water bottle.
Felix: "Oh, right... um..." He took a deep breath, his eyes meeting yours briefly before darting away again.
Then, in one quick burst, he said: "I love you, Y/N."
Your heart skipped a beat as you froze in shock.
Y/N: "What?"
Felix: "I know this is out of the blue, but I've liked you for the longest time. I didn't confess earlier because of my dating ban. But now that it's lifted, I wanted to ask if... if you'd be my girlfriend."
He looked down, his confidence faltering. You stared at him, your mind racing. You loved him too—of course you did—but fear gripped your heart. Memories of losing Jungkook two years ago came rushing back. You couldn't bear the thought of losing Felix the same way.
Felix: "Y/N? Are you okay?"
Y/N: "Y-yeah... I'm fine." You forced a smile, standing up abruptly.
Y/N: "I... I have to go. Bye, I'll see you tomorrow."
Before he could respond, you walked away quickly, your emotions threatening to overwhelm you.

Back to the Present
You woke up on the bathroom floor, your body stiff and your face stained with dried tears. Sitting up, you looked at yourself in the mirror—your red, puffy eyes a testament to the night's turmoil.
Splashing water on your face, you whispered to yourself: "I have to go to London."
Determined, you left the bathroom and saw your parents sitting in the living room, their expressions heavy with worry.
Your mum immediately stood up. Y/N's Mum: "Y/N, are you okay? You've been in the bathroom for nearly two hours."
Y/N: "I'm fine. Don't worry about me." You forced a smile, but it didn't reach your eyes.
Without waiting for a response, you ran to your room, grabbed a bag, and began throwing clothes into it. As you reached for your phone, you noticed 20 missed calls from your best friend, Hwa-young.
You sighed, deciding to call her later, but the phone rang again. Reluctantly, you answered.
Hwa-young: "Y/N! Are you okay? Have you seen the news?"
Y/N: "Yeah. Have you heard anything from Chan?"
Hwa-young: "He's not picking up, but how are you doing?"
Y/N: "I'm scared and worried, but I'm... fine, I guess."
After a pause, you asked: "I'm going to London. Want to join me?"
Hwa-young: "Actually, that's why I called. The girls and I are going, and we were wondering if you wanted to come with us."
Y/N: "Okay. I'll leave now and pick you up in 30 minutes."
Hwa-young: "Maybe I should drive?"
Y/N: "No, it's fine. I'll drive."
You hung up and headed to Hwa-young's house, where your friends—Lisa, Leena, and Mina—were already waiting. Hwa-young was Bangchans wife whilst mina who was her younger sister was engaged to Jeongin
The Drive to London
Everyone piled into the car, the mood tense. You decided to check the news for updates and found a new report:
"Update on Felix's Condition:
Felix suffered a head injury in the crash, resulting in brain damage of unknown severity. He also has a broken arm and glass embedded in his upper abdomen. More tests will determine the extent of his injuries."
You gripped the steering wheel tightly, your heart racing as tears welled in your eyes. Without realizing it, your foot pressed harder on the gas.
Hwa-young: "Y/N! Slow down!"
Mina: "Maybe someone else should drive. You're not in the right condition."
Y/N: "I'm fine. Please, just let me drive."
An hour later, your friends convinced you to take a break at a service station. You went to the bathroom to calm yourself, washing your face and taking deep breaths. Outside, you wandered into a small flower garden, trying to find solace in the peaceful surroundings.
Hwa-young soon appeared, holding two iced Americanos. She handed you one.
Hwa-young: "It's your favorite. Can we talk?"
Y/N: "We don't have anything to talk about right now. We need to get to London."
Hwa-young: "You're not in the condition to drive anywhere. Please, tell me what's wrong. I'm your best friend—I want to help." Tears filled her eyes as she spoke.
You looked at her, your walls crumbling.
Y/N: "He confessed to me, and I didn't tell him I loved him back. What if... what if it's too late now? What if he dies?"
You broke down, falling to the ground as sobs overtook you.
Hwa-young: "Don't say that. It's going to be okay. Felix is strong, and he's going to get through this."
Y/N: "I'm terrified of losing him... just like I lost Jungkook."
Hwa-young knelt beside you, pulling you into a comforting hug.
Hwa-young: "That wasn't your fault, Y/N. It's going to be alright."
Her words calmed you, and after a moment, you wiped your tears and returned to the car.
As you got back into the car, Lisa's phone rang. She stepped out to answer it.
Lisa: "Hey, Chan."
Chan: "Hey. Is Hwa-young with you? She's not answering."
Lisa: "Yeah, she's calming Y/N down. We're on our way to London."
Chan: "Is Y/N okay? I know she likes Felix, right?"
Lisa: "Yeah, she does... but she's not okay at all. You know how stubborn she is."
Chan: "Felix has to go into surgery, but don't tell her yet. I don't want her to worry too much."
Lisa: "Got it. What hospital are you at?"
Chan: "XXX Hospital on XXX Road."
Lisa: "Alright, we'll be there in about an hour. See you then."
She hung up and got back into the car.
Hwa-young: "What did Chan say?"
Lisa: "He told me the hospital. Let's go."
Leena took the wheel, and you all resumed the drive to London, the weight of worry hanging heavily over you.
