Reawakening

The Next Day

Lisa knocked gently on your door, her voice soft but concerned.
Lisa: "Y/N, are you awake? We're heading to the hospital. Are you coming?"
You pulled the blanket tighter over yourself, your voice muffled.
Y/N: "No... I'll come later. I'm not feeling well." Lisa paused for a moment.
Lisa: "Do you want me to stay back with you?" You shook your head, even though she couldn't see you.
Y/N: "No, it's fine. I'll come in an hour or two." Lisa hesitated but eventually left with the others, and you were alone again. You stared blankly at the ceiling, trying to quiet your thoughts.

'He'll be okay... he'll be okay...' you repeated to yourself like a mantra, though the tears still crept down your face.
You wanted to see Felix. You needed to see him. But the fear of facing his motionless body, of the uncertainty surrounding his condition, kept you frozen in place. You buried yourself deeper into the bed, wishing you could hide from reality.
But then, you made a promise to yourself: Today, I'll go. I have to.

With a deep breath, you pulled yourself out of bed and decided to do something that might lift your spirits before heading to the hospital.

You hurried to a nearby café, treating yourself to a rose hot chocolate and a brownie. The warmth of the drink and the sweetness of the dessert brought a small sense of comfort.

Next, you visited a local store, picking up face masks and skincare products. Back at the hotel, you pampered yourself with a much-needed self-care routine. As you looked in the mirror, you saw a more refreshed version of yourself—alive and closer to your usual, vibrant self. Determined to feel even better, you styled your hair, applied some makeup, and pulled on a new outfit you'd been saving for a special occasion.
Your outfit:

At the Hospital
You arrived at the hospital feeling more composed, though your nerves returned the moment you stepped into the room. As you walked in, all eyes turned to you.
Mina: "Wow, you look much better." You gave her a small smile.
Y/N: "I decided to get up and actually do something today."
Lena: "Good. I never want to see you like that again. You scared me." Her words were stern, but her soft smile told you it came from a place of love.

Your gaze shifted to Felix, lying unconscious in the hospital bed. The sight of him made your heart ache, and for a moment, all the strength you'd mustered faltered.
Y/N: "How is he?"
Chan: "No changes yet. He hasn't woken up or shown any signs of movement." You hesitated before asking softly,
Y/N: "Can I have some time alone with him, please?" Hwa-young nodded, motioning for the others to leave.
Hwa-young: "Of course. Take as much time as you need."

One by one, they left the room. Minho, the last to go, paused at the door and turned back to you.
Minho: "I'm proud of you, Y/N. You're staying strong." His words gave you a small boost of confidence, and you smiled faintly before turning to Felix.

You sat down beside him, taking in the quiet hum of the machines monitoring his vitals.
Y/N: "Felix..." The tears you'd been holding back all day came rushing out as you reached for his hand.
Y/N: "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I never told you I loved you back that day. Now it might be too late..."
Your voice cracked, and you tightened your grip on his hand.
Y/N: "Please wake up. I can't live without you. Each minute I don't hear your voice or see your smile, it's because you're here... sleeping. And the worst part is, I don't know if you'll ever wake up." You leaned closer, your tears falling onto the bed.
Y/N: "I love you, Felix. I really, really do."
Your sobs filled the room, but suddenly, something broke through your sorrow—a faint twitch.

You froze, your heart racing as you felt Felix's fingers move slightly against yours.
Y/N: "Felix?"
You looked up to see his hand moving weakly. Hope surged through you as you quickly wiped your tears and rushed to call the doctor and the others.

Everyone came rushing into the room just as Felix's eyelids fluttered open. His movements were slow, and his gaze was unfocused, but he was awake. Relief and joy filled the room as everyone celebrated this small but significant victory.
Chan: "He's going to be okay."
You felt the weight on your chest lift slightly, a genuine smile breaking through your tears. Felix's gaze finally landed on you, and though his voice was faint, he whispered,

Felix: "Y/N..." You gently took his hand, tears streaming down your face again—but this time, they were tears of joy.
You thought this was the beginning of your happiness together, but little did you know, another obstacle was waiting just around the corner, threatening to challenge your strength and resolve once again.
