Coming Home
A/N: Some spoilers regarding Akaza's backstory
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The time spent with Akaza was not horrible. You honestly thought you were going to be miserable but, the demon was surprisingly nice. He was really sweet. You couldn't understand how someone like him can be a demon almost. You found out his disdain for just about every man alive was heavily imprinted into his brain. The way he would describe in gruesome detail the way he would torture, and disembowel men who truly weren't men was extraordinary. He specifically told you about the men that were trying to sell you.
"Okay so I know you don't want to hear all the gruesome details but, I have to tell you. You need to understand the utter hatred and disdain I have for men that have the audacity to treat women the way you were treated. Women are beautiful, sacred creatures that deserved to be cherished. They are weaker than us, therefore they need to be taken care of and treated like princesses and Queens." He was right about you not wanting to hear his gruesome re-telling but, it wasn't like you had anything to do right now. You were still stuck here and he was the only company that you had.
"I like the way you talk and feel about women so I would gladly sit here and listen to what you did to them. It helps past time anyway." You had a strong stomach so you can eat the food he had for you while he talked in detail about what he did to them. You had a feeling he would purposely drag it out and make it as nasty as possible to try and make you lose your appetite but, you were prepared for that already.
"Okay, so you know how there were about five of them and, the main one was the one who grabbed you and you broke his elbow, right? By the way nice moves you should have busted his face." You smirked at him.
"Ah but, I have no doubt you did that for me though." He smirked right back at you with a cocky and amused look.
"Of course I did. I am not uppermoon 3 for no reason. Weakness makes me sick to my stomach. I hate weak people and those men were everything weak and I hated it. I hated them. I had to make them suffer for being such a disgrace to humanity." He was talking as if he was talking about the weather and for some reason you weren't put off by it. He is a demon and one of the most powerful ones in existence. "The one with the broken elbow was the main one I wanted so I was sure to dislocate both his knees and his shoulders and sliced his Achilles tendon so he can't run away. I gagged him with his shirt and sat him up so he can watch me kill his friends. Of course, I did this rather fast and the others tried to run." You rolled your eyes
"Of course, they would try to run. If I saw something as a normal civilian like you, I would want to run for my life too." Akaza is scary to look at and if you didn't have a steel heart that you worked on for years, you would be just as scared of him as though men were.
"They couldn't go far though even if it was fun watching them scatter like rats." You couldn't help but make a jab at him
"Or like demons when the sun comes up." He glared half-heartedly reaching over to pinch your cheek as lightly as he can. He was shaking with the effort because he knew he can literally shatter the bones in your face with a finger. He wanted to be careful with you.
"Anyway, I grabbed the second guy and put a hole through him, he was the most annoying with his screaming. I didn't like it, it was too high-pitched even more than a woman being pleasured." You felt your cheeks flushed as he gave a cheeky grin. "I wonder if you would sound as pretty as you look." You swung an arm at him covering your face.
"You're getting side-tracked! Continue with the story!" You didn't want to focus on the fact that the entire time you were with Akaza he treated you better than your ex-husband and ex-wives have in the last three months. It was causing feelings to stir that should not be stirred or touched with a ten-foot pole. Not in this lifetime.
"Fine, fine I'll concede. Anyway, after I put a hole through the second guy, I hit the third guy hard enough to knock off both his arms. It was funny how they popped off and the sound they made. It sounded like stepping on a whole bunch of twigs. I mean compared to me, their human arms are nothing but twigs. None of them had any fighting spirit so the fact that they were brave enough to try and touch you and take you made me see red. You were all I was thinking about. You were all I was seeing. If I wasn't so angry that night I probably would have gone to snatch you up. I doubt you would have gone with me so willingly though." You didn't want to go with him now while injured but, had no choice. You surprisingly though do not regret being with him now.
"You're right again, I would have fought you tooth and nail thinking you came to hurt my family or even me. I still really don't trust you but, at the same time, I do. You did much more than what's been done for me in a long time. For that I am thankful." Never for as long as you've known about demons would you have been thankful for one helping you. Let alone a uppermoon.
"Stop, you're making me blush." You rolled your eyes playfully, both of you chuckling a little bit before he continued on with the story.
"While the third guy was on the ground in shock bleeding out, I grabbed the fourth guy and plucked out his eyeballs stuffing them down his throat to choke on. I made sure to twist all his joints as well. He was the guy who had called you all kinds of names and leered at you. Since he didn't know how to use his eyes, he had no use for them. Finally, the last guy looked like he was about to die on the spot. He had shitted, vomited, and pissed on himself from fear and he just looked so pathetic I didn't even want to drag it out. It was a miracle really that he didn't have a heart attack so, I simply crushed his head. I only ate his brains, I didn't want to eat the rest of him." You felt your eye twitch but, surprisingly the mental images weren't any worse than what you have seen before.
"So, what about the first guy? The one who couldn't run and you made him watch you kill his friends?" He grinned with all his sharp teeth on display. To anyone else, it would have made them cower in fear.
"He was very much alive, in agony and wanting to die. His death wasn't going to come easy though. I called for some underlings to come and eat him but, make it slow, drag it out. Make him beg for death. That's exactly what they did too. While I sat and ate the other men, bones and all, they ate him slow and deliberate making sure he felt every bite until he just went quiet. It was a beautiful sight if I do say so myself." That's when he got a mischievous look on his face and he bit his lip staring at you. "You looked so good covered in blood. I wanted to fuck you right then and there. Make you scream my name and forget about Tengen. Make him realize what he missed but, I am better than him. It may have been what I wanted but, it's not what you want." His face then went dark and angry. "You want Tengen and those women. I wish you didn't but, the heart can't help who they want." After making sure you ate, he disappeared and you didn't see him for a few hours.
After that interaction with the uppermoon, you realized that he really didn't like men. Maybe something to do with his past life when he was a human? You didn't know. All you knew was that he was taking care of you really well. It surprised you just how much. It was so natural for him. You couldn't help but, feel guilty in a way that he was angry for you. Everyone told you that you deserve better and you knew that you deserved better. Your stupid heart though loves them so much and you believe in giving second chances even if you're making them work for it.
-------------------------------------
"You are really good at this." It's been four days with the upper moon and, it has been splendid. He stood with you in the bunker during the day and, at night he would disappear for a few hours, sometimes the whole night, and, would come by dawn with fresh food. You didn't know where or how he got it but, all you knew was that it wasn't human meat.
"Let's just say I had a lot of practice." He always answered any and all questions you had whether cryptid or not. It surprised you as well that he would even talk to you. Was he really an upper moon? How did someone like him even become one of the most feared demons in existence?
"They must have meant a lot to you than for you to take care of them. I knew they loved you." You bit your tongue hard enough to taste blood. That was way too much to say about a demon that can literally switch his motto and make you the only exception to the no-killing women rule. He was silent. A little too silent as he brewed you more tea and gave you some fish and rice with a faraway look in his eyes.
"She was the best thing that I had ever happened to me. She was my wife. My Koyuki. She was always sick and, can never enjoy life so I took care of her. She always thought she was a burden but, I made sure to tell her that she never was a burden to me. I loved her. I nursed her all the way until-" He stopped himself short punching the floor creating a crater. You flinched but, stupidly reached out to touch his shoulder gently. He didn't flinch or turn to you but, he inclined his head.
"If it is...too painful to talk about her. You don't have to. I know she loved you and, still does wherever her soul is." You paused debating on whether or not you should say what you're thinking "She has also forgiven you for becoming what you have due to grief...That's why you became a demon, right? Something got to your Koyuki before her sickness did?" You weren't sure if you were pushing too many buttons and, you were going to get knocked out for talking about such a sensitive topic.
"You really think she will?" He turned to you and, the look of vulnerability through you for a loop. it was a look you would have NEVER expected to see on a demon, especially on such a feared Upper moon such as Akaza. Maybe it was the time spent with him, maybe it was the fact he drank his respect women juice, or maybe because you felt an odd need to be compassionate and comfort him but, you hesitantly placed a hand on his cheek which he didn't pull away from him. You gave him a tiny smile.
"Just by the way you talk about her, I knew she was an angel. Of course, she has. She is just waiting to see you in the afterlife." He frowned at you but, didn't turn away.
"I'm a monster I'm not going to heaven, I'm going straight to hell." You bit your lip wondering if this was going to be the last straw of pushing your luck. Fuck it, if you die, you die.
"Your demon is going to hell, not you Hakuji." His eyes widen, jaw dropped as he stared at you. He really stared at you floored not saying a word. That's it you thought. You pushed too hard and, now he really was going to break his no-killing women rule.
"Say it again." You blinked surprised to not feel pain blooming in your chest. You blinked at him as he grabbed you and, placed you in his lap. "Say my name again." You gave him a skeptical look wondering if you broke him or you broke yourself.
"Hakuji?" It was unsure but, the way he smiled at you with that same far-away look told you he wasn't really here. He was back in time when he was a human. "Hakuji." You said it with more confidence this time watching as he closed his eyes and, hugged you tight to him. You should be squirming, you should be fighting and screaming. Demanding to be let go. He was a demon. He killed so many innocent people and, ate them. He loved to fight. He was not good. Then why were you pulling yourself closer and rocking the two of you side to side?
"You really are like Koyuki." You really should be fighting to leave if he was comparing you to his dead fiance from over 100 years ago. You couldn't help but feel... kind of bad for him. Maybe he didn't want to become a demon. How many demons exactly were turned into one against their will and, had zero control and ended up being killed and damned to eternity in hell? For something out of their control? "I'm sorry for taking you. I just...no I'm not sorry. I wanted to take you and, heal you. I wanted to keep you for myself but, your heart doesn't belong with me. You are a human, I am a monster. A human and a monster cannot be together. I will return you to the people who miss and love you once you're at least halfway healed."
"Thank you Hakuji...I am really sorry for what happened Koyuki. She did not deserve to be sick or whatever happened to her." He hummed petting your hair now. It was oddly soothing. Was this the beginning of Stockholm syndrome?
"She was poisoned." You glanced up at him but, he was looking at the opposite wall. "Men from a neighboring clan poisoned her and her father because they both feared and hated me and, him. They poisoned the well they drank water from and, they died. The only two people I ever cared about. Dead. That's when I flipped and, stopped caring about...everything. I killed 67 people, the whole dojo of trained martial artists, with my bare hands. All of them. No weapons. Tore them limb from limb with my bare hands." You shuddered thinking about how much of a menace he was as a human. Do you know how angry and strong you have to be to tear 67 people limb from limb with your bare hands? No wonder he doesn't use a weapon like all the other upper moons. Maybe if he did, he would be at a higher rank?
"That was terrible what happened to her and her father. How can people be so cruel?" That's just the way people are but, still. "You must have been really strong to do that as a human with no weapons." You didn't mean to stroke his ego but, it was the truth. He had to be strong in order to do that.
"Yeah, that's where Muzan found me. He thought it was a demon but, was surprised to see me. A human. He turned me when I tried to fight him. I've been fighting my way to the top ever since. I pretend not to know about my past life because Muzan would either punish me severely or just kill me." That was a closing sentence meaning he was done. He was done with questions as well. The silence wasn't suffocating though, it was comfortable. Look at you. Sitting in the lap of Upper moon 3 getting back rubs and head pats after he wrapped your wounds, gave you medicine, and made sure you ate and had water. This was a little too domestic. Made you feel a whole lot safer than you thought you would ever be in his presence.
"I think if anyone saw us they would flip their shit. Why you haven't killed me and, why I'm so comfortable sitting in your lap." He snorted not giving you an answer. You both knew though that this was odd. He would get in big trouble for harboring a human but, he was still performing his duties plus Muzan had a whole wife and child. He wasn't one to judge.
"That's why I haven't told none of the Uppermoons. The ones who are alive. Muzan is busy looking for a replacement for Uppermoon 6. Surprised they have been defeated so kudos to your man for that. You as well and that Kamado kid." You should be surprised that he knows Tanjiro's name but, at the same time, you weren't. Muzan probably had a whole book about you guys like the freak he was. "Any lesser demon I will just kill them. I'm stronger than all of them." He said it with such pride.
"I know someone has to be looking for me. Probably thinking the worst." He giggled at that making you look up at him with a head tilt. You were still sitting comfortably in his lap with his arms wrapped around your waist, his hands laying lazily by your hips.
"More than one. Half the Hashira are looking for me along with other demon corps members. I bumped into one of the poor saps who accused me of raping you, torturing you, and keeping you as a pet." You figured that but, it was the total opposite. "I killed him." He looked at you to gouge your action grinning a bit at your wince "No matter how comfortable you are, I don't want you to forget who I am. You will be going back to the demon corps after all. I don't need nor want them to mark you as a traitor for defending me too much." You stared in shock. He was...protecting you? Your reputation?
"But, you did take care of me. You did everything I never thought a demon would do. You're literally proof that not all demons are bad. You made me think about how many demons were turned unwillingly and, now going to hell for something out of their control. You made me question so much Hakuji. How can I forget you?" You were panicking slightly despite him executing such calmness.
"You worry too much doll." You froze up when he bumped noses with you "Tell them what you want... It kind of pisses me off that I care so much about you but, that's just the way it is." He used a hand to grab yours in a light hold. "I will take you back in three days. You should be much better by then." You didn't say anything. You simply sat there for a while in his embrace while holding his hand. Once again, against your instincts and better judgment, you fell asleep on him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was three days more that you spent with Hakuji and...it was quite pleasant and, a little part of you was highly upset that you were leaving him but, you knew in this world that neither one of you can have any sort of connection. No friendship, no nothing. It was not allowed. It went against everything the two of you were taught to believe. You are a human. Him a demon. Even as he carried you through the forest at night you felt sad. You felt like you might cry which is absurd but, emotions at times got the best of you.
"I can feel your heart beating fast Y/N." You didn't realize you both stopped until you looked and, saw you were on the outskirts of the Rengoku household. "I was going to take you to the Sound Hashira household but, he is not there. Neither are the women but, everyone here is home." You watched the Rengoku household from afar wondering why he brought you here. He didn't want to fight...
"You're going to fight them again?" He gave you a look with a head tilt and, a smile. You didn't understand. He raised a hand and gently laid it against the side of your face using his thumb to caress your cheek.
"I am not going to fight them." This went against everything he believed in but, you. You made him think. You reminded him too much of Koyuki. When he saw you it was like he was seeing her which is crazy because you are not her at all. He removed his hand only to pull you in for one more hug. You were so warm and brought him comfort. Something he hasn't felt in literal decades.
"Thank you." You closed your eyes sagging in his embrace a bit. Maybe this was a bit impulsive on you but, you wrapped your arms tightly around him burying your face in his neck. After hugging for a minute you pulled away to place both hands on his face. "Maybe in another life if we are both born human we can be friends." He gave you a flabbergasted look. You simply smiled leaning in to give him a kiss on the cheek. That shook him out of his stupor.
"Maybe more." He gave you a kiss on the lips that lasted a few seconds before he pulled away disappearing from your sight. You heard rustling from a distance as you touched your lips. You were definitely keeping this to yourself. Shaking your head to clear your thoughts you made your way to the Rengoku household. Like the dumbass you are, you crashed into the door that led into the backyard patio area and landed in a heap on the ground jostling your wounds. Cause why not. Do the most basic dumb bitch shit. You got up sitting on your haunches dazed because you hit your head hearing footsteps. You looked wearily seeing Shinjuro and Kyo standing there with their jaw dropped. Knowing you were safe now you smiled and, knocked the hell out. You hit your head harder than you thought.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"Is she going to be okay? Did he touch her? I will kill him." You were coming to and, you heard voices. You were on something soft and, there was something on your face.
"She has a broken rib, bruises, and cuts but, they all seemed to have been taken care of for a few days. I'm not sure how she did it herself." That's because you didn't. Akaza was the one who took care of you. You made a sound because all sound ceased and, you felt hands on your body. You opened your eyes blearily hissing at the light that was quickly dimmed. You blinked again to see bright colorful eyes, Fuschia, magenta, blue, and brown.
"Pretty eyes..." You were still half-asleep so you missed the coughs and blushes. You heard some shuffling and a presence, maybe more than one hovering over you.
"Come on Y/N. Wake up for us a bit more." You did as instructed opening your eyes more to see the whole Rengoku household, Tengen, Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru hovering over you. You blinked looking at all of them in confusion.
"You came tumbling in our yard? Do you remember anything from last night?" You squinted your eyes wracking your brain. Then it hit you. Akaza. He kissed you. Disappeared. You made a grand entrance and passed out. Your eyes widen to the size of saucers.
"Fuck, Akaza." You panicked a bit forgetting for 2-3 seconds that he did NOT in fact hurt you and, the panic made the occupants around you rush to calm you down. You were so silly.
"Hey, hey. It's okay. You're safe now. You're with us. He won't touch you again." You felt hands on your cheeks and you focused on teary but, worried magenta eyes. Hinatsuru. You breathed with her calming right back down. Right. You're an idiot. A tad dramatic. Maybe.
"You're with us now. No one in this room will ever let you get hurt or taken again." You nodded your head looking at all of them really well. They looked like shit. Like they haven't eaten or slept. That's not good. You furrowed your bows.
"Have any of you slept or eaten?" You got no answer making you sigh. You moved to sit up ignoring the pull and sting of your ribs. You had help so it wasn't painful. "I'm hungry so it would be nice if we can all eat? Maybe?" You gave them all the puppy dog eyes which worked all the time. It still worked on Tengen despite him being deadly serious and, very quiet. A quiet Tengen was a dangerous Tengen. All three women ran to the kitchen leaving you alone with Shinjuro, Kyo, and Tengen. You did not like the way all of them were looking at you.
"I need to know the truth Y/N." You turned to Tengen who was staring at you with such an intensity that it unnerved you a bit "Did he touch you." With the emphasis, he put on touch you knew what he meant. You looked down at your thighs checking for any bruising. There was some but, that was from muscle tearing. It did look suspicious. Without thinking you opened your legs a bit to show the males.
"The bruising isn't bad! Nothing I can-" A little too late you failed to realize what you implied by saying that. You gave Tengen a wide-eyed stare and, before you can defend yourself he got up going outside. Fuck. You turned to Shinjuro and Kyo desperately. "Wait! That's not what I meant! It's from muscle tearing you know from too much force?! Too much pressure on the muscles so they tear!" You were in vain trying to explain yourself. Shit. That didn't help your case. You gasped and panicked when you saw how pissed they were and, turned to see the three women in tears. Shit, you got to fix this. "AKAZA DID NOT HURT ME! I PROMISE!"
"Don't lie to protect him." You turned jumping to see Tengen very close to you. "You do not have to protect him. He is a monster. We-I promise to protect you from anything, especially him." Shit, he didn't believe you.
"I'm not protecting him! I'm simply stating that he didn't do it. He patched me up!" He squinted his eyes at you clearly not believing a word you say. Dammit. "I promise it wasn't him. I'm not protecting him. Simply stating a fact." It was tense. The atmosphere is thick enough to choke you up. It looked like he was just about to give in, believe you but, Makio said something
"It looks like handprints." All of you zeroed in on your bruises. You lifted your legs and, to your absolute fucking horror it did. It fucking did. It stretched out into four finger-like appendages and one going towards your butt. Fuck. Fucking fuck. Now you really can't convince him. You looked up at the ceiling and fell back. That's it. You're done. You're so fucking done. Fuck your body. Fuck Akaza for bringing you back. He should have kept your ass for at least a week more. Why did muscle tear bruises do this? Why did it look like hands? God, what did you do to deserve this kind of punishment?
"Y/N." You didn't move but, blinked when Tengen hovered over you. Can you bite him? That wasn't the smart thing to do. "Why are you protecting him?" You blinked at him and, realized he wasn't budging. You really shouldn't be mad because it shows he cares and, judging by the way Makio, Suma, and Hina were sniffling and shaking so did they. Fuck. You were going to lie about a random demon. All well.
"Because it wasn't him. It was another demon." You looked off to the side focusing on a random spot on the floor. You felt so bad about lying but, they lied to you before so this was your revenge. You heard sharp inhales not daring to look at any of them. "It was two to be exact. brothers. They had purple eyes, four fangs jutting out their mouth, two arms, greyish bodies with purple veins, and four horns coming out of their heads." You glanced over them having to look away at their angry and crestfallen looks. Dammit. One day you'll tell them the truth. Not today though. "Akaza had left for an hour to get food for me when they stumbled in. It was quick. Still hurt but, quick, They were still...there when Akaza came back. He turned them into lumps of meat. Literally." It was silent. Dead silent. You gave a sigh sitting up finally meeting their eyes.
"I'M SO SORRY!" You jolted as you got a handful of Suma. She was crying, snot everywhere making you feel so much guilt. "You didn't deserve that! Not you! No one does, especially not you! You're so sweet and kind! You deserve love and happiness, not pain! I'm tired of you being in pain! NO MORE!" She wailed hugging you tightly. You allowed it, wrapping your arms around her. You rested your head on her shoulder leaning into her a bit.
"It's okay Suma. It's not your fault. It's no one's fault except the demons. They are gone now though. They can't hurt me or anyone else for that matter. I'm safe." You let her cry some more surprised Makio hasn't tried hitting her yet. She pulled away a bit to sit beside you resting her head on your shoulder. You let her. You watched as Hina and Makio went back to the kitchen coming back with a hot pot and dishes. They gave everyone food even though most weren't hungry. You were though. You ate to your heart's content. You were kind of happy. No. Scratch that. You were very happy to be back home. You were surrounded by your most treasured people. You loved Mitsuri, obanai, and Sanemi too but, these seven people, Senjuro included, were a bit closer to your heart.
"I think you should rest more. Would you like to go to the butterfly mansion to heal?" You turned to Shinjuro to see if he was worried. He really was. You grew to see him as a father. It was really nice. You looked at all of their earnest and concerned looks.
"I guess I can...I really need Shinobu to look at these bruises." Without another word, you were scooped up carefully into a pair of muscular arms. You looked up to see Tengen was holding you tenderly and, firmly. You barely had a chance to wave see you later before he was about to take off
"Please you three stay here. I will come back to get you. You three are much safer here with my best friend and, his father." With that said he left ignoring the surprised looks of the two Rengokus. He will deal with it later. Right now he had more important matters. He was doing a light jog as to not jostle your injuries any farther.
"Are you angry Tengen?" For some reason, you hope it wasn't at you. You had a feeling he was blaming himself now that you think about it. "You know it is not your fault right?" He gripped you a little harder. Ah, it was that.
"Yes, it is. If I was stronger. I could have grabbed you. None of this wouldn't have happened to you if I wasn't such a weak man. That's twice I failed you. I would understand why you wouldn't want to be my wife but, I need you close. No more. I don't want one of the most important people to be hurt anymore. You are my life Y/N. I know I failed as a husband but, I want to fix it. I will fix it. I can only hope you can forgive me." He really was beaten up over this. How many nights did he lose sleep? He had bags under his eyes, not as flashy as he normally is. He wasn't wearing nail polish either and his headband was around his neck instead of his head. He was really stressed.
"There is nothing to forgive when I never blamed you in the first place." Nothing else was said as he hurried to the butterfly mansion. The sun was high in the sky meaning it was noon. You had a hot pot for breakfast. All well. In record time he made it to the butterfly mansion Kocho already waiting there. She guided the two of you to a room and, normally she would kick anyone out but, she let Tengen stay. She observed all the injuries with a stern look
"What happened?" You told her everything including the lie you told everyone else. You had to stick to it now. Shit. Her face morphed to remorse and, in a rare display of affection, she ruffled your hair giving you a forehead kiss. Oh, what a great way to make you feel like shit for lying. You will hopefully get over it. One day. Well, if you're being honest it was just demons, not an actual person so you're not hurting anyone. "Take these 3 pills, 3 times a day. Use this ointment for all the bruises. As for the broken rib, leave it. It got to heal on its own. You will be sore and sluggish. You will need someone to care for you." You nodded blearily feeling the effects of the medicine already. What kind of drugs did she have? It was nothing like what Akaza gave her.
"This is nothing like what Akaza gave me..." You yawned missing how sharply both of them turned to you. That was alarming. You felt hands grab your arms bringing your attention to two pairs of frantic and worried eyes.
"What did he give you? Upper moon 3?" You blinked thinking back to what he gave you.
"He gave me tea that was a mix of green tea, willow tree bark, and maritime leaves. He had ointments for cuts that helped and he is the one who bandaged my broken ribs and cuts." Kocho couldn't believe her ears but, fuck it. Questions for later. She needed you to be better.
"I take it you and Rengoku are going to take care of her?" Tengen gave a firm nod, gently scooping you up in his arms as you were falling asleep already. "Watch her. Make sure she's cared for." Shinobu gave him a pointed look with a smile "It's not like you to let an upper moon take better care of your woman." She gave a giggle loving the irritated look that came across his face "Maybe I'll stop once I know she is happy. For now, you're in shits creek with me. A few others too." He sucked his teeth taking the bag with everything he needed and, starting the slow trek back to the Rengoku household. He was deep in thought. He failed you. He really did. He will fix it though.
"I promise to be a better spouse to you Y/N. We all will be better."

This chapter came a little later, at midnight where I live! I hope you guys enjoyed this and let me know what you think! Should I make an Akaza X Reader story? Or one shot? totally separate?
