Jared Jogle just wanted some adventure (and hey, he's not turning down a hot boyfriend), but this adventure may be more than he signed up for. Alas, with all that rat jerky, Jared may have finally bitten off more than he can chew.

The only thing Calix Solis has ever wanted is to feel worthy, but with an actual human joining their group, he's feeling more than just inadequate. Now, he's not sure who he can trust — or whether this group will turn on him just like those of his past. Meow!

With no clues to other sources and people trying to block them at every turn, the two groups make their ways off of Altiu — in opposite directions — to search for the sources... though the clues they gather may end up leading them right back to where they started. And when the two groups finally collide, at a governmental convention no less?
