Dorothy Mandis

"What if you were to go omniscient again?" Wade asks, trying to help me with brainstorming ideas.

"I can't hold that for very long," I sigh, "it might work, though."

"Okay," he encourages, "you've written what you need to. It doesn't matter if it's not published yet. You have the characters that are needed."

"Okay, okay," I go to the wall, "I hope this works. Sorry in advance for the creep factor, but it's what we needed."

"Gave me the fucking heebiejeebies," Wade does that disgusted shiver thing.

Third person POV
Abby drags y/n behind herself, dodging falling rubble as they run through the city. She finds cover and hurries to it, trying to catch her breath.

"Good idea," she shouts, warning confused looks from those around her.

"Milo went third person, seems to be focusing on me without going into my, well our, thoughts," she briefly explains, "gives her a leg up on what's happening without giving us totally away."

"So what now?" Steve from Serum asks, shielding his eyes from more rubble.

"We kick these mother fuckers asses," Spade replies.

"Not entirely," Abby interjects, "we've got a new friend to help us out."

"Make that friends," a woman sudden comes around from the rubble, joining the group, "god it's a mess out here."

"Yeah," Abby sighs, "sorry about having to introduce you into the draft world while it's like this."

"It's fine, I get the gist of what's going on."

"So how are you supposed to help?" Steve asks.

"I was bitten by a genetically modified spider," she starts, "the names Dorothy Mandis."

"So you're like a spider woman?" Y/n raises a brow, "don't we already have a lot of those?"

"Not one like me," she grins, then grimaces a bit.

"Yeah sorry about this one guys," Abby apologizes.

Before anyone can ask anymore questions, the sound of skin tearing brings their attention back to Dorothy.

They watch as giant spider legs emerge from her back.

"Oh my God," y/n cowers away a bit.

"It gets worse," Abby gives her an apologetic look.

Dorothy's skin seems to hollow out as a spider body emerges just as the legs did, leaving her skin to hang from below it as an empty husk.

"I'm gonna be sick," y/n turns away.

Dorothy begins to make a giant wed along the broken building.

"What's she doing now?" Steve asks worriedly.

"Calling her spies."

She walks onto the web, turning to face the others.

"If you're scared of spiders, you might want to at least close your eyes," her voice comes out in a hiss.

The wed begins to glow and vibrate slightly, and the others wait.

"Holy shit!" Y/n screams as thousands of spiders, large and small of all colors, come running towards the web.

The spiders crawl their way into the larger spider, only to emerge as copies of Dorothy. They keep their respective sizes, but their shapes and colors now match their master's.

"Yup, gonna be sick," y/n turns away again and projectile vomits across the rubble.

Everyone looks at Abby as thousands of spiders skitter away.

"I did apologize beforehand," she raises her hands in defense.

"That," Bucky from Tamed points to the giant spider woman, "is one of the most terrifying things I've ever seen. And I was experimented on by Hydra!"

"It's what we needed!" Abby continues to defend herself and, by extension, Milo, as Dorothy returns back to normal.

"Why do we need a ton of fucking spiders?" Tony from Between Pages shouts.

"So I can do this," Dorothy places her hands on her web.

Images begin appearing on the web. Women and children running for their lives. Men trying to defend their families.

"Split up, follow the spiders!" Abby shouts, looking around the cover of the wrecked building around them.

"Wait a second second," Y/n stares at the images on the web, "is that what I think it is?"

A large mass of spiders scitter past the unsuspecting young group, the red-headed man looking to the woman.

"Why does it always have to be spiders?"

"I don't know," The dark haired boy responds, "but we've learned before; follow the spiders."

The group begins to follow the little creatures, the red head hesitant.

"Come on, Ron," the girl grabs his arm, "we have to keep moving."

Two loud thuds bring their attention to a small clearing ahead of them.

"Fred! George!" Ron runs to his brothers as they try to catch their breath from the fall.

The younger group helps the elder ones to their feet.

"What the bloody hell is going on?" Fred asks, holding his side while looking around.

"We don't know," the woman responds, "I'm guessing another draft world, but it's in ruins."

"Abandoned?" George suggests.

"Not likely. I don't think it would be in such bad condition. Something's happened."

"Guys!" A shout from behind them has the group going into defense.

A seemingly familiar face runs out from behind an over turned car, and Fred and George run to meet her.

"Milo!" The men embrace her tightly.

"Not quite," she returns the hugs but pulls away quickly, "Milo is trapped, I'm Abby. Basically, I'm a part of Milo's consciousness put into a character."

"So, you're still basically Milo?" Fred raises a brow.

"Technical, yes."

The arms return around her swiftly, engulfing her in another tight hug. When they men pull away, the witch of the group stands with her arms crossed and a brow raised as the rest of Abby's group joins them.

"Go head, Hermione, " Abby sighs, "say it."

"I told you it was a bad idea to keep the draft worlds separate," she shouts, then her expression softens, "but I'm glad you're okay."

The ground beneath them begins to quake violently, causing buildings around them to start falling apart further.

"Run!" Harry shouts.

The now larger group begins to flee, dodging falling rubble, getting others back to their feet quickly when they stumble.

When the quaking finally ends, the group pauses, listening for anything else that might happen.

"Accio, firebolt," Harry shouts, flicking his wand.

His broomstick can be heard whizzing towards the group before it can be seen rounding the corner of a building and coming to its owner.

"I'm going to get some higher ground. See what's going on farther out," Harry announces, mounting his broom.

"Take me with you," Abby runs over and gets on behind him.

"We'll be back in a minute," Harry takes off, making it above all the towers that surround them.

The two survey the waist land around them, both sets of eyes falling on a rather large new addition that has toppled other buildings to make room for itself.

"Is that..." Harry glances back to Abby.

"Yeah," her eyes don't leave the sight before her, "it's Hogwarts."
