"What have you done?!" Anakin's voice was loud and infuriated. After he found out Padmé didn't remember him, there was nothing he could do but leave.

Palpatine scowled. "At this point, I don't know." It was unlike him to be so blunt, but things weren't exactly going the way he hoped.

"Well, I've got news for you," Anakin started, "you're not exactly the most powerful guy around like you hoped you'd be." Palpatine remained emotionless. This wasn't new information. Anakin continued, "Turns out almost everyone has forgotten everything too! But if you and me remember, that means someone else is bound to remember too and they'll come after you."

Anakin would've laughed if he wasn't so mad. This perfect world Palpatine imagined was turning out to be his worst nightmare.

"You did this, Palpatine. You've created this mess."
