Finally

Ahsoka strolled into the bakery with a fake smile upon her face. She took her apron and tied it on. Another miserable day that could've been spent trying to fix this mess.

"Good morning Ahsoka!" Lux said smiling. It was a real smile. He pulled out the mixer and started setting up the equipment for the day.

Ahsoka sighed and grabbed a bag of sugar. She didn't really hear what Lux had to say. Her mind was somewhere far away. Then she remembered why she even came into work that day. "Hey, Lux-"

"Can you hand me the vanilla extract," Lux interrupted.  Ahsoka sighed and handed it to him. "Thank you. What were you saying?" Lux asked.

Ahsoka tried to figure out a way to word this without sounding insane to him. "I was thinking maybe we could go somewhere later."

"Where do you have in mind?"

"Oh, I don't have an exact place in mind, but I was thinking somewhere like a, uh, museum? Somewhere with really old and mysterious stuff!" Maybe that said 'old Sith relic' without really saying it.

Lux furrowed his eyebrows. "Not sure if I'm familiar with any decent ones. I'll have to look into it."

Ahsoka frowned as she poured cake batter into a pan.

"But," Lux began. "A couple of friends of mine went on a hike the other day and saw this interesting landmark monument thing. Maybe we could check that out?"

Ahsoka nodded a little too eagerly. Maybe this was what she and Anakin were looking for?! "That sounds great! How about after work?"

"Sounds like a plan!

Lux parked the car in a dirt parking lot near the start of the trail. It was a very isolated spot and not many came here. There were only two other cars in the parking lot. Then again, it could've just been the time of day. How many people went hiking at sunset only to come back down the trail in the complete dark?

Ahsoka shielded her eyes from the sun and glanced around. "How long is this hike?"

"My friends said it was about one mile round trip," Lux replied locking the car.

Ahsoka wondered if these friends of Lux were made up in his false memories or were actually people they knew back in the galaxy she missed so much. "Alright then. Lead the way."

Lux smiled and began up the trail. There wasn't much to look at other than the view. Which was very beautiful. You could see the ocean and all the cities below. But Ahsoka was more focused on trying to find what Lux claimed his friend's saw.

After about thirty minutes of walking, something caught Ahsoka's eye. A large black rock like structure not too far in the distance. It almost shined against the sun. That was certainly odd. "Look!" she called out to Lux. Before she could even let him acknowledge she went jogging towards it.

When she finally reached it she carefully inspected it. It had an ancient language written all over. One she couldn't read. It was also decorated with symbols. Some she recognized from her lessons back at the Jedi Temple. This was it.

Lux finally caught up and took a moment to catch his breath. "Well, that is certainly interesting."

"Yeah, it is," Ahsoka replied in a daze. She pulled her phone out. How did you use this thing? She searched for the camera option and took multiple pictures from different angles. That way she could show Anakin.

"Oh! We're taking pictures?" Lux asked. He pulled his own phone out and snapped one picture of the 'rock' and another of the sunset. "Well, let's go."

"Wait!" Ahsoka exclaimed. She cringed as she realized how awkward that must've seemed.

Lux sighed becoming quite annoyed and folded his arms. "Fine. Just not too much longer. We still have to drive back to our homes, remember?"

"Okay, okay!" Ahsoka mumbled. She took a few more pictures and then stepped back. She needed to bring Anakin here as soon as possible.
