A Meeting

"So, Sheev, it was Sheev Palpatine, wasn't it?" Padmé asked sitting at her desk. She opened up her laptop and opened a few tabs.

"Yes, you are correct," Palpatine replied. He sat on the other side of the desk. He looked over the items that were placed on the desk. A few pictures and a small sign with Padmé's name on it.

"Well, Sheev, thank you for coming first of all. I guess let's start with, why did you want to run for mayor in the first place?" Padmé asked typing a few things.

Palpatine thought about how to answer that question. "Well, I want to help the people. I love democracy!" Every word was a lie of course. He was only in it for the power.

"Well, Sheev, that is a very good reason to run for mayor. The first thing I suggest you to do is to start your campaign. Get the word out about yourself! I would also suggest going around town and helping the less fortunate. Charities, the homeless, you know, stuff like that."

Palpatine almost cringed. He defiantly did not want to do things like that, but if it was necessary to become powerful, he just might have to go along with it.

Padmé pulled out a few papers. "Here are a few resources to help get you started. Lists of the most pressing current issues, and people who can help you get started."

"Thank you for being so kind," Palpatine said taking the papers.

"Of course," Padmé said with a smile. "Remember, if you need anything don't hesitate to contact me. I'm here to help you."

Palpatine stood up with an absolutely wickedly evil smile. "Oh, I assure you, I will stay in contact. Thank you."
