A week passed by;

Sanlak became very close by then.  Laksh was still silent,  but he wasn't that mush moody as he was. 

He was calm.  He even smiled a few times in between.  As Adarsh said he started to concentrate on his studies. 

He spends most of the time studying. And during breaks at college, he used to be with Ragsan and Mauhaan,  but he was always a silent spectator.

Sanskar was dwelling with his feeling for Ragini and finally realized that he is in love with her. 

Knowing her he didn't approach her. He doesn't want to lose her friendship.  But he loves her.  He didn't share this with any of his other friends also as he knows that they would like to share it with Ragini. 

He started to dream about her. He tries to spend more time with her. He always wants to be close to her.

In class:

Students were waiting for their professor.

He came in.

Prof: Today's lecture is an important one for your tutorials.  I am not taking the class,  an expert faculty from other institute is taking the class for you today.  Since he doesn't have much time,  he is taking the class for two batches at once.  So you all are requested to move to class no 306.

He leaves. 

Students groan.  Class no 306 was on the third floor and their classes happen on the ground floor.  Now they have to climb upstairs! 

Students lazily got up and took their books and started moving,  all expect Laksh. 

He was sitting in his place without moving. 

Sanskar who noticed this went to him.  By then others had moved out of their class.

San: Laksh,  didn't you hear sir,  this lecture is an important one,  you can't afford to miss it.

Laksh who was in his own world was startled by Sanskar.  He looked up.  He was panicking.

Lak: N, no I, I am, I am not coming.  You go,  don't be late.

San: That I have already been.  So come we will go together.

He took Laksh's books and then held his hand.

San: Come with me,  I am not gonna accept any kind of excuses.

He held Laksh's hand and started pulling him.

Laksh was panicking,  he was sweating.

Lak: Sanskar I won't come.  I can't,  I HAVE VERTIGO!! 

He shouted at the end.

Sanskar froze at his place.

Lak: Ev even if I, I wish I, I won won't be able to do it.  I can't attend this class.  You, you please carry on.

He was shivering.  Sanskar was shocked. He didn't understand how to react.

They stood still for a few seconds.  Then, 

San: (calming himself)  well,  I don't think I too can attend this class.  I am late.  So since we both are free,  come let's play football.

Lak: What??

San: Yeah come,  you know, I have a match tomorrow,  inter-college,  so I will get some practice too.

Lak;  But you guys practised enough,  your coach knowingly isn't making you practice today,  as the game is tomorrow.

San: But I am still not sure about my performance.  Please Laksh,  I need practice.

Laksh was not ready.  But then he remembered that Sanskar has missed the lecture because of him.  Now if he can help Sanskar in some ways he should do it.

Laksh agreed and they headed to the football court.

Both started to play.  Laksh hesitated at first but then he remembered that he is helping Sanskar.  So he started to plays with his all might.  He was much better a player than Sanskar.

Sanskar felt bad seeing Laksh's performance.  He was so good, his passion for the game was visible.  Still, he gave up the game.  Why what happened in his life that he gave up something he likes?

He didn't have an answer,  nor he felt like Laksh is ready to share it with him. So Sanskar concentrated back on his game.  For he knew that playing with Laksh will give him an upper hand tomorrow,  as Laksh was better. 

They played putting their mind in the game,  but then Sanskar fell down. 

His left ankle got twisted, and his elbow had a deep cut.  He moaned in pain and was on the ground.

Laksh ran towards him and lifted him up. He,  by supporting Sanskar,  took him to the first aid room.

The nurse did the first aid and advised him to take rest for one week.

Sanlak were shocked hearing this.

San: one week,  no I,  I can't,  I have a match tomorrow.

Nurse: You should have thought of this beforehand not now.

Sanskar was upset.  He is their star player and he is going to miss the game. 

Lak: it's fine,  tomorrow's game was not meant for you.

San: I should have listened to you.

Lak: Now don't think so.  You need to rest.  Come I will drop you home.

Sanskar nodes. 

San: I will leave a message for Ragini.

Laksh nodes.

Laksh takes him to the parking slot.  Sanskar comes to college in his bike.  

Laksh becomes uncomfortable seeing the bike.  He never rode a bike after that incident. 

He took a long breath.  He has to take Sanskar home,  and he can't let him ride a bike. So Laksh has to. 

Laksh took the key from Sanskar and sat on the bike. 

Lak: you will be fine right? 

Sanskar nodes.  He held Laksh's shoulder with his uninjured arm. 

San: OK start.

Laksh closed his eyes,  he thought of someone and then started to bike. 

Throughout the ride, he kept ranting " do this for Sanskar ".

Finally, they reached his home. Sujatha opened the door and shocked seeing Sanskar. 

Laksh consed her and then made Sanskar rest on his bed.  Sujata accompanied them.

Laksh started to leave.

Suji: Laksh, the beta has something and go.

Lak: Not today aunty,  I will come some other day.  Now take care of him.  I am leaving for home. 

Suji: OK then,  take Shasar's bike.

Laksh shivered.  He alone knows how he managed to ride a bike till here,  now more distance,  he can't!

Lak: it's fine aunty  I will take a bus. I love travelling on the bus.

With this, he left from there.

Suji: strange boy,  which boy prefers bus over the bike.

Sanskar looks painfully.

Laksh reaches home.  He was dull than usual. 

He was thinking about his fear of heights and also he was affected by Sanskar's injury.  He felt like he is responsible for it.  He directly went to his room. 

Ap saw him,  he was earlier than usual and upset too.

She went to his room and saw him sitting on the bed.

She sat beside him,  he saw and played his head on her lap.

She smiles a little and started caressing his head.

Ap: Why are you upset?

He told her everything. She didn't say anything but continued caressing his head,  assuring him that she is with him.

Laksh was feeling peace in his mother's lap.  He calmed down and slowly drifted to sleep.

Ap looks at him fondly.  She was grateful to his new friends,  especially Sanskar,  even though he was not her naughty boy,  he was better than earlier. 

He like before he started to share things with her.  And she was happy with this.

************

Ragini read the message after that particular class.  The three of them immediately left the college with their bags and went to Sanskar.

They felt bad seeing him, he smiles lightly.

Sanskar told them everything.  Mauhaan felt bad for Laksh but Ragini was thinking something.

San: Rags,  what are you thinking?

Rag: He can't have vertigo.

Mau: What?

Rag: I am being serious. Remember. I made him try a swing.  He was fine with it,  of course irritated,  but he didn't panic then.

The three nodded their head in agreement. 

Mau: This means it has something yo do with his past.  See Rags,  that day you irritated him very much and he was completely drowned at that moment.  All he wanted was to leave from there,  that's why he didn't think of anything else. Which means that this is not his childhood fear.  It might be due to some incident.

San: I wish he shares this with us soo.

They agree.  Then they talked randomly.

Next day :

Class :

Sanskar was sitting with a dull face.  He was scolded by the coach for his injury.  And he was himself upset for missing the game.

Laksh was sitting beside him and he was trying to cheer him up,  but nothing was working.

Ragini came in that time.  Sanskar face lit up seeing her.

She sat beside him and then cheered him,  and he became happy with her words.

Laksh smiles seeing them. His hundred words were not making the effect her few words did. 

Sometimes it's the presence of a person that matters than these words. 
Sanskar was happy not by what she told him,  but by her saying this and being by him.

Laksh smiles.  From others and Ragini he knew that they love each other.  He never discussed it with either of them.  But now seeing them like this he felt like this was the best decision they took for themselves.  He felt like they are made for each other.  He was happy for Sanskar.
