I don't know about you guys, but I was excited to write this part from the time I put up the prologue. I was like, when will I be able to write this, one and finally,

Here you go:

Guilt isn't always a rational thing...
Guilt is a weight that will crush you whether you deserve it or not...

Ragini couldn't believe what she heard.! She was numb, murderer, Laksh, she got scared listening to that.

But then when she looked at him she could feel it is not true. He looked so broken and then he is her Laksh, that Laksh who can never think of harming anyone, then a murder, no freaking way!!

She sat down in front of him and held his face and made him look at her. He was crying and she couldn't see him so.

Rag: Laksh, you...you can't be a killer..never...Tell me what happened.

Lak: My Adi...

He cries again, he can never remember his Adi without tears. Ragini wanted to take his pain away, she hugged him in that kneeling position. Laksh too needed her support, thus he hugged her back.

When he calmed a bit, Laksh started to speak.

Lak: Adi, Aditya, we were together from high school. He was my best friend, my soul mate, a brother from another mother. I was very crazy those days, full of life and he was calm. He was the sweetest person I ever met. He was similar to Sanskar, calm and quiet. My exact opposite. Our tastes were different, hence when we joint college we took different streams. He met Bhavya and they were in love. Everything was going fine until that ill-fated day...

Ragini felt like Laksh trembling. He was, even the mention of that day made him shiver.

Laksh gulped.

College:

It was recess time.

Laksh and Aditya were sitting on the edge of the roof as always. Only they were there. Both were teasing each other and laughing.

Laksh pushed Aditya by his shoulder for fun but he lost balance, Laksh panicked still he acted quickly and held Aditya's hand.  He was leaning down the railing. It was a five-storied building and they were on the top.

Laksh was trying to balance and take Aditya up, but both their hands were giving up.

Adi: Lucky, leave my hand, I don't think I can make it!

Lak: SHUT UP!! Nothing is going to happen, I am here right.

He tried to pull him up again, but that resulted in him losing balance.

Adi: Lucky please leave my hand, you are losing your balance.

Lak: Will you just stay quiet and cooperate?

Adi: Lucky please listen to me, you won't be able to save me and if you didn't leave me now, you will fall down with me. Just leave my hand.

Lak: No Adi please this is going fine, I got you, please cooperate.

Laksh was panicking, his hands were paining and Adi was being all negative. How can he tell him to leave his hand, doesn't he understand what will happen if he leaves him?

But Laksh was losing his grip on his feet. Adi who realised that started to shake off his hand.

Lak: No No No Adi don't do that...please .hold on Adi,

Adi: No Laksh, I know I can't get through, but you can. I am not going to take you down with me. Please, for heaven's sake leave my hand.

Lak: No No No...

Adi didn't listen to him and finally, he managed to get off Laksh's grip. He fell down and Laksh fell back with Adi's bracelet.

Lak: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Laksh didn't speak a word after that. He became numb. The college authorities reported it as an accident though they didn't see what happened because only Laksh and Aditya were present there. Their teachers knew how close they were. 

Adarsh took Laksh for Adi's funeral and he was in trauma.

Adi's mother hugged him when she saw him and cried vigorously.

That was when Laksh understood what happened. His Adi, his Adi is no more with him.

He is gone, because of him, if he hadn't pushed him. But... He did. He did that sin.

Laksh ran away from the funeral.

From then he kept blaming himself for Adi's death.

Adi had been his strength always. He lost that, he lost his backbone, that too because of his own mistake.

Laksh wanted everyone to hate him for what he did do Adi. But none did, not even Adi's parents. He couldn't look at Adi's parents, his younger sister, his love Bhavya, because of him they all lost their Adi. He was responsible for their misery.

He missed Adi, he wanted him back, he wanted him to console him, hug him and say everything was alright.

That was how he got vertigo. Every time he looked down, he could see Adi falling down.

He stayed inside his room, for a week he didn't say a word, he hardly ate and sleep.

Adarsh couldn't take his baby brother's state.

That day when it happened Laksh cried to Adarsh saying how Adi got out of his grip to save him.

Adarsh had to use that to make Laksh leave. He made him realise that Adi didn't try to save his life for Laksh. And Laksh should live his life for Adi.

That's how he agreed to attend college.

But he changed completely, he killed "Lucky" and became Laksh.

Raglak were crying by the time Laksh finished.

Lak: How can I be happy, when I took away the right to live from my Adi. How can I be happy when I made a couple lose their son, a sister lose her brother, a girl lose her lover. I am a sinner. It is because of me Adi is not here now. It is because me they all lost Adi. Then on what rights I can be happy!! I am not worthy of being happy, being fine. I am a sinner.

He cried harder.

Ragini tightened her grip on him. Now that she knew what happened she clearly understood her Laksh was not at fault. And now she won't let him suffer. Never!

But Laksh broke the hug and got up.
Moving backwards he said.

Lak: No Ragini, don't console me, don't sympathise with me, I don't deserve it. I don't.

Laksh ran away from there ignoring Ragini's pleas. She was still kneeling down, she shouted his name, but he didn't stop.

Mauhaan approached her and hugged her.

Ragini cried hard.

Rag: I can't even imagine the pain he is going through, he is broken. I wish I could console him, he doesn't deserve this pain. HE DOES NOT!!

She took her phone from Mauli and called a number.

Rag: Hello Sanskar!

So finally Laksh's past is out. And the person is a "he".
