Laksh was thinking of this from the previous day.  He somehow wanted to divert Ragini,  cheer her up and this was something he could think of.  And he knew this would give relief to Sanskar too,  as he knows Sanskar will start to blame himself. 

And this was something he could do for his love and friend.

The trio was too shocked to react, that too after what happened in the auditorium last time.

Before Ragini could reply,  Mauli held her hand.

Mau: That's brilliant Laksh!!  So now this is fixed,  Rags you are coming to my home today too.  Laksh won't you guys practise together?

Lak: Hmm, Mauli it has been too long for me.  I need to practice myself.  And it is not good to sing on the day before the competition. Ragini can you listen to the karaoke and lip sink,  I will do the same. I have to look at the lyrics also.  I guess it is better if we do separately.

Mau: Okay as you say!

Ish: And Laksh I am coming with you today!

Laksh smiled. He understood why Ishaan said that.

They went home. Their parents were not having issues with them staying at friends' as they know it's their last few days in college.

And Sanskar was home.  He tried to immerse himself in books.

Next day:

Laksh was never tensed like this ever. It is has been so long since he sang and now!  He doesn't know how he will do it but he wanted to do for the two whom he values a lot.

Ragini was kinda excited to sing with Laksh. With the chaos around her,  she was feeling a bit better with the thought of singing with him.

But once the song started,  both got immersed in it,  feeling the song completely.

Both forgot their troubles when music hit their ears,  that was the power music had on them.

I know this is not the movie version but a live.  But guys trust me, the legend has sung it more beautifully than in the recorded version.  The notes🎶

And the music,  hats of to A R Rahman sir, 👏👏

Rag: Hai rama ye kya hua
kyon aise humein sataane lage
(Oh God! What's happened? Why are you troubling me so?)

Rag: "I wish I could say that to you Laksh ".

Ragini shuddered at her own thought.

Lak: "It should be me who should say that. "

Lak: Tum itni pyaari ho saamne
hum kaabu mein kaise rahein
(You're so lovely, and right before me, how can I possibly retain control?)

Lak "That's right"

Rag "wish you say that"

Rag: Jaao humko to aati sharam hai
(Oh go on! I'm starting to feel shy.)

Lak: Teri aisi ada pe to fida hum hai
(I'm enchanted by this grace of yours)

Lak" then why don't you confess!"

Laksh shudders,

Rag: Hai rama ye kya hua
kyon aise humein sataane lage
(Oh God! What's happened? Why are you troubling me so?)

Lak: Tum itni pyaari ho saamne
hum kaabu mein kaise rahein
(You're so lovely, and right before me, how can I possibly retain control?)

When the music was played,  both took a deep breath. 

Laksh's heart was not in control and was urging him to confess,  which he won't as he doesn't want Ragini in the same state again.

Ragini's heart was beating so fast with the thoughts she was having. Why is she feeling like this! 

Rag: Tauba meri tauba
ab kya sitamb hai
kaise zidd karne lage
(Lord, my Lord, you're crushing me with your persistence,)

Jaane tumne kya kya socha aage aage
hum to ab darrne lage
(I don't know what you think will happen next, but I'm starting to get frightened.)

Both Raglak shuddered,

Lak: Arre socha hai yehi raat aur din
tujhe pyaar karenge hum
Darrte ho kyon o jaaneman
mere pyaar se
(Oh! I've thought that night and day, I'll love you,
Why, my sweetheart, are you scared of my love?)

Both Raglak wished Laksh could say something like that.

Their heartbeats where not normal.

Rag: Hai rama ye kya hua
kyon aise humein sataane lage
(Oh God! What's happened? Why are you troubling me so?)

Lak: Tum itni pyaari ho saamne
hum kaabu mein kaise rahein
(You're so lovely, and right before me, how can I possibly retain control?)

Lak: Kaali kaali zulfein
gori gori baahein
mujhko tadpaane lagin
Honth bheege bheege
nasheeli ye aankhein
pyaas ko jagaane lagin
(Your black hair,
fair arms are tempting me,
Your wet lips and intoxicating eyes are awakening my thirst)

Never Laksh felt this awkward singing,  but then he never sang with his love before.

Rag: Chhodo na aisi baaton ko
kyon kaun raahon ko
Modo na meri baahon ko
jaane do
(Oh please don't speak that way, and don't give me reasons,
Don't twist my hand, let me go)

Ragini just wanted to run away from there. What's going on.  Why was she feeling all these?? 

Rag: Hai rama ye kya hua
kyon aise humein sataane lage
(Oh God! What's happened? Why are you troubling me so?)

Lak: Tum itni pyaari ho saamne
hum kaabu mein kaise rahein
(You're so lovely, and right before me, how can I possibly retain control?)

But due to this sensual tension,  Ragini understood one thing,  she looked at Laksh shocked when he finished singing. She felt like she couldn't breathe anymore.
She fell for him!!!

Whereas when Laksh finished the song,  everything started to come into his mind.  He thought of that person again,  who wanted him to the song this song. The pain he felt then was intolerable. He left the stage soon, ignoring everything else.

Ragini shuddered to see Laksh leaving like that,  she understood he was disturbed again,  this time she won't let him suffer,  not after when she realised her feelings!

Laksh had no idea where he was going,  he kept walking fast.

Ragini was running behind him before he could do something she held his hand and dragged him to an empty corridor.

Mauhaan were following them and stopped seeing Raglak standing at the corridor.

Rag: Enough of this Laksh,  JUST ENOUGH!  Today you have to tell me everything!  I am not going before I hear your answer.  You are doing so much for me, taking so much effort for me,  let me just repay.  Please Laksh,  please share your misery with me.

Laksh was looking down with tears,  Ragini shook him,  but he didn't budge.

Rag: LAKSH PLEASE JUST SAY!  Why are you hiding everything inside,  am I not worth to share your problems? 

Lak"you mean so much to me Ragini. But"

Rag: If I mean at least something to you,  please share it with me, I can't see you like this all broken.

Lak: "you mean my world to me Ragini"

Rag: Please Laksh,

She was literally begging him and was crying.

Laksh couldn't see her like that,  but how will he say? 

He took all his effort to say that,  he felt like his legs are giving away and he fell on his knees.

Lak: I am a murderer!

Phew,  a small one,  but situation demand.

Ragini realised her feelings.

And finally,  Laksh's past will be out in the next part.
