Competition day:

All four friends were waiting for Laksh.

Ish: are you sure your plan would work Sanky? 

San: Has too,  he is not heartless to let our hard work go in vain,  and I am serious,  sorry Rags,  but I won't sing if he is not present.

Ragini smacks his head.

Rag: You are speaking as if you alone is his friend.  Forget you,  I won't enter the auditorium until he arrives.

They smile.

Laksh came in a while. He was pale was white. 

Sanskar felt guilty seeing him so but controlled.

San: finally, come let's go to Audi.

Lak: But your competition is after an hour.

Rag: What do you mean by that huh?  So you will only attend his event,  mine is about to start! 

Laksh looked at her in guilt. 

Lak: Ragini please,  I...  I promised Sanskar,  that's why I am here,  I...

He left from there without giving a chance for them to say anything.

Ish: Why are so scared Laksh,

Mau: Even in that he doesn't want to hurt us.  He is severe pain and we are making him do something that would hurt him,  still no complaints.

Rag: He didn't answer me because he doesn't want to hurt either of me or Sanky.

Sanskar sighs.

San: come let's go.

Laksh was sitting on a bench,  trying to prepare himself.  Music was his life,   now he feels like he doesn't deserve it,  and he doesn't know how he is going to face it again.  But he can't let Sanskar down.  He sighed.

After an hour, when he received Ishaan's message,  Laksh got into the Audi.  He spotted Mauhaan and sat beside them. 

Ragini and Sanskar were on stage.  They looked for Laksh and smiles seeing him. 

Laksh became more uncomfortable when he saw that Sanskar has a guitar with him.

The performance began.  All Laksh could see was the past.

He was singing with his guitar.  He was singing being lost in the song.  Only music mattered to him. The melody was soothing his heart.  He could ser his audience were in trance,  and when he finished,  the applause was so huge it felt like it was amplified.  He smiles and the next second,  he was hugged by someone. Lakah hugged back smiling wholeheartedly.  The presence of this person means a lot to him.  He sometimes even wondered how would it be without this person.

Per: No words Laksh. This was magical.  You made me proud again.

Laksh kept smiling.  The next second he got reminded of their separation and he shuddered.  He left like his heart was burning.  He whole body was burning.  He was drowning in the pool of guilt.  Every moment music his ear it left like his heart was being stabbed. 

The person he lost was his inspiration for music.  That's why he stayed away from it. It always reminded him of that person. 

Laksh had fisted his hands so hard it felt like his veins would be broken any moment. His face was pale as ever.  All he wanted to was to run away from there.  But the performance was not over yet.  And if he made such a step he knew Ragini and Sanskar will follow him without caring their performance. 

Mauli who was sitting on the other side of Ishaan,  making him sit in the centre shifted to the other side of Laksh. Both Mauhaan kept their hands on either of Laksh's shoulder in a soothing way. 

Laksh couldn't look up,  he closed both his ears with his hands.

Ragini and Sanskar noticed this.  They were feeling terrible. Especially Sanskar,  still they continued singing,  just for Laksh, as they know he was holding back for them.

Once the performance was over,  Laksh stood up,  went out and ran out of the auditorium followed by his friends.  He ran to another end of the college and leaned on a tree,  trying to calm himself. 

Sanskar was the first to reach him.  He touched his shoulders.  He was guilty.

Laksh opener his eyes.

San: Laksh,  I...

Lak: Don't,  I know why you forced me.  But when he deals it something unknown, sometimes it's deeper than we imagine.  I am sorry to keep you in dark.. But...  And please don't blame yourself Sanskar,  you are the best friends someone could get.  I could see your care behind every step of yours.

Sanskar was tearing by now,  he hugged Laksh tightly. 

A hug that really calmed Laksh,  both had tears rolling down their faces.

Other three smile seeing LakSan.

They came near them and the boys parted. 

Mau: Sanskar,  your solo would start soon. 

San: But,

Lak: You should go,  I would be fine soon.

Rag: Mauli,  Ishaan you guys go with Sanky,  I will be here with Laksh.

Lak: No need,  I...

Rag: I don't want to hear anything,  I would be with you and that's it.

She didn't know why,  but Ragini wanted to be with Laksh then,  be with him and take out his pain. 

Others nodded and they left.

Laksh again leaned on the tree taking deep breaths. 

Rag: let's go for a walk.

Lak: huh? 

Rag: You are not fine yet,  there is some much in your heart that should be released.  You should release this energy to calm down.  Come let's roam around the college.  All are inside the auditorium.

Laksh just nodded.  They started walking.  The silence was prevailing.  Laksh wanted to calm down and he was just looking at his feet while walking.  He was observing how he was taking every step forward.  If only he could take a step in life this easy.

He sighed and kept walking. 

Ragini had her eyes on him,  she could feel he was calming down. It was calming her heart too.  Seeing him getting normal was making her heart excited.

She could really feel happiness in the silence.  The best silence in her life,  alongside Laksh. 

They kept walking and spotted Sanchi.
Laksh called out for her. 

Lak: Why are you outside? 

San: I,  that,  you. I mean

Laksh smiles, she came out because Sanskar ran out.

Lak: Hmm.

But Ragini misunderstood her.  She felt Sanchi came out because Laksh came out.

But she was not sitting near Laksh,  then how did she found out Laksh ran out.  And she and Sanskar made sure that they didn't create a mess. Though they were anxious as hell,  they controlled themselves it they got out of the auditorium.  Little did Ragini knows about the love Sanchi has for Sanskar,  of course, she could feel Sanskar was upset,  that's why she came out. 

Ragini thought she eas watching Laksh keenly and came out. She didn't like Sanchi caring for Laksh. 

Lak: Shall we sit somewhere?

They say by the nearby bench,  Laksh was sitting in the middle,  this was making Ragini angry. Why should Sanchi sit near him? 

They started talking casually,  but Ragini was angry. 

Just then Ishaan called her.  Sanskar's performance was over.  Mauhaan and Sanskar soon joined them.

Mauhaan smile seeing Sanchi.

San: Hi Sanchi,  why are you outside?

Sanchi was shocked.

San: I that, Laksh,  I..  I saw him inside and he didn't look good,  I wanted to make sure he is fine. 

Laksh and Mauhaan smirked hearing her.  Sanskar had a warm smile seeing her care on Laksh whereas Ragini was looking her like she would kill her any second.
