"She did what?!" Ace stares in disbelief at Shawn. He had just explained what had happened. "There's no way!"

"Well, there was. She wouldn't tell me why. She just...did it." Shawn looks down.

"Oh, Shawn." Ace hugs the boy, who clutches her. "I'm sorry."

"I love her so much." He cries. "I thought it was going to work out perfectly, then this happens." Ace makes Shawn meet her eyes.

"Look, I don't know why she did it, but I'm going to find out." Shawn wipes his eyes.

"Really?"

"Really. I promise."

"Do you want to talk about it?" Robin shakes her head furiously. Ace sighs in defeat. "You know what you need?"

"What?" Robin looks up curiously.

"Chocolate. Come on. I know where we can get the good stuff."

"Hey, David." Ace walks up to the cashier.

"Oh, hey, Ace." David looks up.

"He's cute." Robin whispers to Ace. David had startling blue eyes and dirty blonde hair, standing about 6 ft. tall. He wore the green uniform polo and khaki pants. Ace rolls her eyes at Robin, hopping up onto the counter.

"What can I do for you ladies?" David asks.

"You guys have any good stuff left?" Ace replies. David smiles.

"Yes, ma'am. You knew where it's at." David winks.

"Thanks. Be back in a sec. Come on, Robin." Ace heads deeper into the store, Robin on her heels.

"How do you know him?"

"He's a junior at school. His mom works at the Tower. We became good friends." Ace replies, scanning the dairy section.

"That's cool. Wait, why are we in the dairy aisle?"

"Found it." Ace reaches her hand through the yogurt and pulls out the chocolate. "You're going to die for this." She smiles, looking at Robin. "Robin?" The girl had become pale, staring down the aisle. Ace follows her gaze, eyes landing on the only other person in the store. Riley's eyes meet Ace's.

"What is she doing here?" Ace turns to Robin, only to find Robin gone. She hears the entrance door fly open, then shut. Ace looks back at Riley, who had walked up.

"Hi, Ace. Didn't know you were here." Anger fills Ace.

"What did you go to Robin?"

"We need to talk more outside." Ace says, dragging Riley toward the entrance. Anger was boiling in Ace as Riley finished speaking. "Is anyone in the alley?"

"Shouldn't be. Trash was taken out yesterday." David says. "Use as much time as you need." Ace smiles.

"Thanks, David." Ace walks outside and finds Robin pacing out front. "Robin?" The girl turns, tears in her eyes.

"She's here, isn't she?" Ace glares at Riley before answering.

"Yeah. I need you to go inside with David while Riley and I finish out...discussion." Robin nods, hurrying inside. Ace pulls Riley into the alley, pushing the girl to where Ace stood between her and the street. Ace cracks her knuckles.

"Let's talk."
