Pearl and Amethyst may seem very different and they are but this story changed that forever.
"She is so childish!" Thought Pearl as she swept up the mess Amethyst made.  "She is also so icky." She remarked in her thoughts as she saw Amethyst eat a hotdog. "She's even more gross than a human!" Pearl almost said out loud. Humans were very gross to Pearl and of course stupid. But Rose Quartz thought other wise they to her were very interesting she had always wanted to talk to one. Then Pearl thought "weird."  The reasons were she ate and slept two things gems didn't need to do. Pearl did like cleaning but she could not stop thinking about how weird Amethyst was. "Well at least the temple is clean now." She said to no one.
After that she travelled back to her room and thought to her self, "Is Amethyst really needed here?" She knew it was nice to take her in from the kindergarten but was she really useful on this team? She could say that Garnet , Rose and her were useful but how was Amethyst? A lot of times she just messed up the mission. Garnet was useful because she had future vision and Rose could heal gems, her self could help plan out the mission but Amethyst didn't really have use. Pearl tried to see the use of Amethyst but just could not. Although she knew that she would stay here with them no matter what. Amethyst hadn't even fought in the war against home world! Everyone except her did. It wasn't fair she didn't deserve the rights to be treated the same as her. Then Pearl thought a cruel thought "She should be treated like a Pearl!" Then Pearl broke down she really just wanted to have all the attention it was hard to share it in the war and now.
Later it was time for A mission. Amethyst, Garnet, Rose, and Pearl were all in a smelly dry dessert full of so many cacti as soon as Amethyst saw them she kept playing with them and jumping into them. That made Rose laugh. Pearl just scolded this was a mission they had to take it seriously! "Come on!"Rose laughed. "It's ok to have fun." "Yeah." Said Pearl trying to sound like she was happy. Then they reached what they were looking for the temple of mind. They had to find the gem Citrine and take it down. The gem controlled the temple and the temple of mind controlled gems in the war. As they entered the building WHOOSH! A rock almost hit Amethyst but Rose grabbed her shield and blocked it. Pearl sighed to her self it was going to be a long day! Then they saw citrine right in the middle citrine was huge 10 feet tall and looked like a giant orange blob with hair and makeup on. The gem was on Its neck. Pearl gasped it was huge. She was about to think of a plan when citrine through a giant glob a Pearl but Amethyst would not let it get Pearl she grabbed the glob and threw it to the ground. After the mission Pearl finally realized that Amethyst was use full after all she should not be treated like a Pearl and should have the same respect. Little did they know years later they would be telling this story to a half human half gem hybrid who was their leader Rose Quartz's son. A story that defined Amethyst and Pearl.
