A few days later...

Everything was in place, the fireworks had gone off and everyone were anticipating what I've been planning since a few weeks ago.

The video of how I planned the whole event was shown on the big screen.

But before we get there, let me retrace the journey on how we ended up here...

I looked around the jewelry store and looked for a ring that suits Nayeon the best—for me, she's beautiful, elegant and classy. So something like a diamond ring would be suiting for her. I know that diamond ring is an obvious choice but still—when the thought of Nayeon wearing the ring came to my mind, I can't help but to smile.

After I bought it, I called Raehyun, and the TWICE members and asked them to meet me at the JYP building. Papa JYP agreed to help us as well after hearing from my manager about the plan I have in mind.

“I can't believe you really are going to do it, Y/n. You've grown so much.” Teddy said through the phone as he also heard about the news from Raehyun. I couldn't help but to smile when he told me how proud and happy he is for me.

“Thanks, hyung.” I replied and sighed softly, looking at the entrance of the JYP building. I felt so attached to the company now that I almost forgot that I am an artist under YG.

“Y/n, hurry up! Everyone's waiting!” I blinked a few times before turning my attention towards my manager who was urging me to hurry as everyone was waiting for me.

“Look at you Y/n, it felt like only yesterday you were a 20 years old man—now look at you,” my manager stated and I nodded, remembering how much he has helped me throughout my pre debut day until now.

“Thanks for being there for me always,” I replied while twisting the doorknob before slowly entering the practice room. “You're welcome Y/n.” he tapped my shoulder and went towards the others.

“Thanks for coming everyone. Now, as you may have known, I'm planning on proposing to Nayeon,” I stated and they started cheering and talking to each other about how they can't believe I'm crazy enough to propose on camera. Well, I can say that it took me a few visit to my parents and a few advices from Raehyun, Jihyo and the others on whether I should do it or not.

“I know that you guys have been busy with promotions, guesting on TV and photoshoots but I really wish you guys can do me a favour. Tonight, I'm planning on proposing as you heard but I don't want it to be simple—I want it to be... Special.” I smiled and Raehyun was the first one to speak up.

“So what do you want us to do?” he asked and looked at the others and then at me—the others were obviously having the same question in their head.

I shrugged and smiled, “surprise me.” they stared at me for a while before nodding, “no—seriously... Surprise me but I wish you guys can perform a few songs to make Nayeon confused so it wouldn't be too obvious that I'm going to propose. God... How many times have I said the word ‘propose’?” I crossed my arms and they laughed.

Tzuyu raised her hand and smiled, “What song do you want us to sing?” she asked. The songs I had in mind for the event were Yes or Yes and Feel Special because I thought those songs were quite good for the occasion.

“Well...” Time skip to a few hours later, the crews of the show and I went to the venue I'd rent for the night and made a few last touch on what seems to be a bit odd.

Nayeon Point of View

I looked around the salon and towards the camera, “what are we going to do here?” I questioned and looked around while smiling.

The staffs said Y/n was also at a salon somewhere in Seoul to get ready for the ‘special night’ the staffs had planned.

“You're here to prepare yourself for the special event tonight.” one of the PDs said to me and I nodded—well no wonder we were at the most expensive shop in Seoul. We were there for around two hours and as soon as we were done, we went to the venue of the shooting.

As soon as we arrived at the location, the song ‘Gap’ by Raehyun and Rosé started playing and their voices sounded like it was live.

I felt my hand being pulled by someone and realized that it was Y/n—he was smiling widely and seems to be excited. “What are you so excited about?” I chuckled and he looked at me, “you will know soon!” he replied as we arrived at a special spot that was covered in flowers.

I looked at the stage and saw Raehyun and Rosé singing while looking at us. So this is what she meant by ‘see you later’ on the phone—she was talking about performing on the stage for us? I couldn't help but to feel emotional at how great of a friend she is.

After them, WINNER came up and performed ‘Really Really’. “This is for our beautiful couple, Y/n and Nayeon.” Mino said while winking and performing the song. They were then followed by Jihyo and the other girls who were performing Yes or Yes—but that wasn't the one that shocked me.

Y/n went up the stage and grabbed a mic as the girls continued to perform. “Im Nayeon,” I looked at him confused. “Can you come up to the stage?”

Your Point of View – Present

I could see that she was confused but she walked up the stairs anyway. My heart started beating so fast and I feel like passing out any moment now.

“Fighting, Y/n.” Jihyo whispered to me as she walked pass me. I breathe deeply and exhale as Nayeon was finally in front of me.

“What is it, Y/n?” she asked and I looked around the stage, seeing my friends that were watching excitedly. All the cameras were pointed at me and Nayeon and I could feel my hands getting shaky.

“Umm...” I took a deep breath and smiled at her before placing a kiss on her forehead. “So uh...” I took the ring out and knelt on one knee, taking her hand. “Im Nayeon, will you marry me?” the thing that I've been wanting to say was finally out of my mouth.

The fireworks went off and everyone was suddenly quiet. Nayeon looked around her and then at me with a shaky smile. “Y-Y/n... I...” She looked down at me with teary eyes.

“Yes...?”

“I will. I will marry you!” She nodded and I got up in excitement, kissing her passionately, not caring about the cameras around us—I never did anyway. I could hear Jihyo and the others cheering and clapping as I continue to kiss Nayeon.

I couldn't believe it—the girl that I loved so much, my girlfriend is now my soon-to-be wife.
