26 - She Has Her Doubt
Your Point of View
I sighed and crossed my arms, looking at Nayeon who was in front of me with a serious expression on her face—I don't know what I did wrong or how I ended up in this situation. "Look—I don't know who that was, alright? Even I was surprised to see her in the room," I told her, trying my best to convince her. I was telling her the truth but still, why would I even lie to her if it doesn't benefit me?
"Are you sure you don't know who that was? Are you sure she's not someone you sneak in to have fun within the hotel room?" Nayeon asked, looking at me sceptically.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head, "Nayeon, listen—you are the only one that I love, okay? I wouldn't do anything as stupid as cheating on you!" I said a little sternly as in to show how I was telling her the truth.
She shook her head and looked away from me, biting her lower lip. "Don't lie to me, Y/n. You should've just told me if you don't want to be my boyfriend anymore," She said lowly and it broke my heart. I shook my head again, putting my hands on her shoulders while looking at her dearly—how can I cheat on someone as pure as Nayeon?
"That's not true! I love you and I always will! Nothing can change my mind," I exclaimed rather desperately now. She shrugged my hands off and turned around, "I don't know Y/n—just... give me times to sort out my mind," She left the room. I can't do anything—I could only watch as she left the room.
Why didn't I stop her? Because I respect her decision—if she needs time to sort out her mind, then I will gladly give all the time she wants as long as it could convince her that the one that I truly love is only her and will never change.
Nayeon Point of View
I sighed and closed my eyes, leaning against the staircase. I stared at the wall in pure silence—I don't know why but I am scared. I am scared that maybe it wasn't a sasaeng and instead, it was just someone Y/n is hooking up with and that Y/n used the article just to hide the truth.
I found myself tearing up at the thought of being two-timed by Y/n and all this time, all the affection and love that I received from him was just something he was faking.
"Nayeon, are you alright?" Rosé's voice snapped me out of my thought and I immediately wiped my tears. I looked over at the girl who was wearing a white tank top under a black sweater and sweatpants. She walked in front of me and smiled softly, "tell me what's wrong."
We went to a nearby café and talked there—with talk, I mean I told her every single thing that was in my mind and what was disturbing me.
"Listen Nayeon, I know Y/n isn't that kind of guy—I'm sure of that. You can see that he truly loves you with all his heart." The blonde girl said, taking my hand and wrapping it in hers.
"I don't know Rosé... What if he was just faking everything?" I looked at the girl with uneasiness in my eyes.
"But what if you are just assuming the worst? What if your head is playing tricks on you?"
I bit my lower lip and looked out the window, staring as cars drove by the café.
"I know Y/n wouldn't do that to you—I know for the fact that Y/n is a loyal type of guy and wouldn't do something as lowly as cheating on you."
I let out a long sigh and looked back at the girl who was flashing a soft smile at me. "How can you be so sure about that?" I asked.
"I used to have my own doubt before—Raehyun and Y/n are quite similar. They are affectionate and caring. Believe it or not, we used to argue a lot when we first dated—similar to how you and Y/n are at the moment. But believe me—it will get better and if you guys believe in each other, nothing can ruin your relationship with him."
Your Point of View
I put the last few clothes inside my luggage and sighed, closing it. I was planning on going out with Nayeon for a lunch before my flight but she needs space for herself.
"Y/n, hurry up! We're going to be late," my manager's voice rang through the room as I nodded, finishing up as I carried my backpack and pulled my luggage out of the room but stopped when I saw a sticky note on the door.
It was written with fresh blood—I took it and read it.
'Y/n-san, I will always be following you~'
A shiver ran down my spine as I crumbled it and threw it into the trashcan, fast-walking towards the elevator where my manager was waiting. "What was that?" He asked me.
I started to sweat as I shook my head, smiling with shaky lips, "uh... nothing," I said and as soon as we arrived at the lobby, a police officer approached us. He bowed before informing us.
"Excuse me, Mr Hwang—our chief advised us to accompany you to the airport."
"What happened?" I asked back in Japanese.
"The girl escaped from the police car and we are afraid that she might still be around here—we can't risk you getting hurt. This is an order from Mr Yang and our chief," He continued.
I gulped before nodding, "A-alright," I bowed as I exchanged look with my manager who has the same expression as I do.
"We need to be careful."
