Song of the Chapter - (Beautiful, Baekhyun)

Lisa POV

As Jimin walked down the stairs with the cake in his hands, we clapped at the sight of the cake while smiling.

Jimin placed it on the coffee table in front of us before clearing his throat, "so..." we turned our attention to him as he was getting ready to talk. "I wanted to thank you guys for coming here, even though my brother is not here with us," he said, and I couldn't help myself from letting out a light chuckle at the mention of Y/n's absence.

The others looked at me, probably wondering why I was laughing at something as serious as Y/n not being with us in the room. "I received a text from him a few days ago – he told me to gather his friends to celebrate his 18th birthday despite him being absent."

Xiumin walked up to Jimin and showed a flash drive before talking, "he also sent us a video," he shrugged, "he ought you guys might be missing his face by now," he added before inserting the drive into the laptop and connecting it to the tv in front of us.

The room went quiet as we turned our attention to the video Y/n sent his brothers. The video started with him adjusting the camera – cliché, right? After adjusting the camera, he sat on the sofa behind him and started talking.

"Alright, so... I uh... I don't know how to start this video, but uh..." he cleared his throat and looked around before focusing on the camera again. "First of all, I wanted to apologize because I uh... I left you guys without saying anything, right? So, I hope you guys can forgive me."

He picked up two pieces of paper from the floor and cleared his throat, "To Jin and Baekhyun," he started reading one of the papers. "I want to thank you both for staying by my side. I know I am annoying most of the time, but once again, thank you for putting up with me. I hope you both won't forget me any time soon. Brothers for life, am I right?"

As I watched the video, I finally realized that his outfit was the same one he wore today. I looked at Kyungsoo. Is this live? I mouthed. He looked at me and gave me a knowing smile before winking, indicating that my guess was correct.

Chaeyoung POV

"This one is for Chaeyoung."

I raised my head and looked at the video, wiping the tears that were welling up.

"Chaeyoung, I wanted to thank you because you were there when I needed someone to lean on – I know we didn't really get along well at first, but I started to realize that you are more than a chapter in my life. I really hoped that things ended up a little different than how it did. Say... If I were to confess to you sooner, would you have accepted me? No, rather, will you accept me if I confess right now and then?"

I stared at the video in confusion after what Y/n said. When the light in the room suddenly went out, I looked around, wondering what was happening.

"What's going on?" I could hear Eunji mumble as I looked around the room.

I yelped when I felt arms wrapping around my shoulders from behind.

"Park Chaeyoung, will you be my girlfriend?" I was beyond surprised when I heard the extremely familiar voice talking from behind me. I felt the arms around me loosen, and I quickly turned around to look at him, wondering if I was hallucinating. Right when my face met him, the light went on again.

"Y/n?" I looked at him – I couldn't believe that he was right before my eyes. He was smiling at me.

"That's right, Chaeyoung. I'm back."

Your POV

I watched her with my arms open as I wanted for her hug – after a few seconds, she ran to me and wrapped me tightly. "You stupid! Where have you been?" she cried as she tugged on my shirt tightly.

I smiled and returned the hug, patting her head, "I'm sorry for leaving without saying a word," I said softly.

For the past five months, I have been in Guangzhou, living there and attending my classes online – it's just that I needed some time to clear my head from everything happening.

After Chaeyoung had collected herself, we went to the park nearby to breathe the fresh air. Walking along the jogging track, I occasionally looked at her, "so...."

She hummed and looked at me, her eyes still red from crying all night. "What is it?" she sniffled before moving closer to me.

I cleared my throat and scratched my head, "about the confession... what would be your answer?" I asked expectantly.

Chaeyoung sighed softly before giving me the sweetest smile, "it's a yes, naturally."

I cupped her cheeks and smiled widely, "then it is official. The two of us are dating," I exclaimed excitedly before pulling her for a kiss. After a while, we broke the kiss and settled for a warm hug.

Lisa POV

Kyungsoo asked me to buy a few big bottles of soft drinks when I saw Y/n and Chaeyoung at the nearby park. I stopped on my track and looked at them, hugging them from afar. I sighed softly – I know we agreed to be best friends, but I couldn't help but feel jealous.

After a while, they broke the hug and waved at me while smiling when they saw me. I returned the smile and wave before gesturing toward Y/n's place as I continued to walk.

As soon as I arrived at the front door, I heard Jin scream from the hallway, "hey, Baekhyun!" I sighed before opening the door, laughing at the sight before me.

Baekhyun looked at Jin while holding the cake above his head – even though the latter was taller, he seemed to be struggling to grab the cake from his hand.

"Taeyeon, look at your boyfriend!" Jin complained as he looked at Taeyeon, who was walking past them with a tray of biscuits in her hands.

"What are you expecting me to do? He won't even listen to me," Taeyeon replied as she kicked the two boys' shins.

Your POV

*The Next Day*

"Hyung, is my car ready?" I asked as I walked to the kitchen where Jimin was cooking breakfast for Xiumin and Kyungsoo, who was still sleeping.

Jimin looked at me and nodded, throwing the car key toward me, "I got it serviced yesterday, so I think there won't be any problem for now," he said.

I thanked him before going to the garage, "hello, my queen," I said to my car before entering it. I smiled as I grabbed the steering wheel, "let's get you out of this garage," I mumbled before starting the car and driving off to school.

When I arrived at the school gate, students looked at my car as if seeing a ghost rider. I honked at a few of them who were blocking the path before driving past them.

After parking my car, I entered the hallway, where it got crazier – they were blocking my path while observing me from head to toe.

"Wait, is that really you, Y/n?" a student asked.

I sighed and looked at them, nodding. "Yes, it's me. I am Y/n. What? Did you think I died or something?" I asked before walking to our class.

"Hey guys!" I greeted them as soon as I stepped into our class.

Jin smiled at me, "what's up, 4D!" he said with a smile.

I turned my attention to Chaeyoung, "hey," I said softly as I looked at her. She was staring at me as if she was looking at something that was not supposed to be there. I waved at her, and she quickly wiped her tears before waving back.

My attention turned toward Jennie, who was making her way toward me with a look of disbelief. "Hey, Jen," I greeted her with a smile.

She stopped before me and stared at me momentarily before kicking my crotch.
