Michael gently and quietly tiptoed towards Cranky and Helen's bedroom. Cranky was taking a little nap on the couch, while Helen was doing the dishes.

Michael felt guilty, but he thought, he has to do this!

Quietly, he searched the whole room for evidence about their encounter. To his disappointment, he found nothing.

He then noticed Helen's dresser located next to the bed. Without making a single noise, he opened it and searched thoroughly.

"Come on...come on...!!!" Michael mumbled.

Michael could only find an old comb, and a few babies' clothes. Must've been Brock's baby clothes, Michael thought with a smile.

Michael then noticed a little brown box somewhere in the furthest corner of the third and final drawer of the dresser. He took it out and opened it.

To his surprise, he found a pink bow, some little pieces of paper, and a few photos. Michael took them all out and 'investigated' them.

As soon as Michael set eyes on the first photo, he gasped in horror and shock as his hand started shaking.

In the photo Michael was holding, there is Helen, and a few of her friends. Not just any normal friends- they are the answer to Michael's biggest question.

Michael's eyes started tearing up a little as he saw his biological parents and Cranky standing next to each other in the photo. Calming himself down, he rubbed away his tears as he saw words behind the photo.

Michael started reading them in his head.

"Me with my bestie- Elise Dim, and Cranky with his bestie- Gloomwold Frown- he didn't look quite happy here XD ((p.s. He was NEVER very happy XD))"

Michael gasped- he finally knew the truth, and he finally knew his parents' names.

Michael looked at each and every other photo. Suspiciously, Helen was always at the centre, Elise was always at the far left, Cranky was always at the second right, and Gloomwold was always at the far right. Cranky smiled in a photo, Helen smiled in all of them, Elise smiled in two, and Gloomwold in none.

Michael's heart started beating fast. He put the photos back into the box and took out the pieces of paper.

The papers are shaped like sticky notes and they were kept pretty well. Michael read every single one of them. There were five.

One by one Michael read in his head.

"I've never had a more special friend than Elise! She's my childhood best bud, and she's just so nice- but she always seemed down for some reason. She says she's always been happy- but she just doesn't like showing her emotions, that's all."

"Elise finally smiled widely for the first time! I've never been happier! Her first Sparkle Matter is a pink bow- and it's so cute! She'd never smiled like that ever since she was like three."

"I finally learnt why she never smiled that wide. Elise's family is VERY busy, and often wouldn't have enough time to spend with her. She would usually play alone. Thank goodness she found me! I made her days brighter and brighter- and she finally smiled widely one day, after I gave her a pink bow!"

"The pink bow...?" Michael mumbled to himself. "But it's here- AH, never mind..."

Michael continued reading the pieces of paper.

"Oh no, Elise seemed depressed day by day! She didn't smile anymore!!! I asked her about why but she ignored me. She kept screaming,'DON'T FORCE ME, HELEN SADRIE OR I'LL-' then she'll stop. Every time she does that, I run home and weep in secret."

"Why?!? WHY?!? WHY?!?!? Why did she have to leave me?!? Why the mean words?!? I kept asking in my mind. Then, I'll take a deep breath and count to ten. I never forgot the day Elise returned the bow to me as remembrance. She had to move away... far FAR away, she said. We might never get to meet again... Why?!? Why wouldn't Gloomwold just listen to Cranky for once?!?"

Michael thought, both my parents knew each other all along?!? Why didn't mom remember this? Why did she still smile in every single photo?

Michael looked harder into the last two photos and saw some tear stains on Gloomwold and Elise's face. Helen was still smiling, but her eyebrows seemed to narrow...

Michael thought and thought, then he made a decision. Putting everything back in the box, he carried it downstairs as quick as he could...
