"Check out all these cool stuff around here!" Brock exclaimed as he brought Michael to his room. "I've got books and toys and decor and- OOH!!! EDDY!!!"

"Eddy...?" Michael seemed confused.

"Oh- sorry, I was a little too excited- heh heh..." Brock apologised, adjusting the cap on his head. "This is my lucky pillow- Eddy. He keeps me company since I'm the only child here- and he's the absolute best! He never complains and he's always there for me! I'm never bored when I'm with him!"

Brock picked up his lucky pillow as Michael looked at it. It's a light shade of blue with some little crayon stains on it. Michael gave it a little rub- and boy is it soft! He immediately fell in love with the pillow.

"So you said it's your 'lucky' pillow, huh?" Michael asked, smiling at it. "How lucky is it, exactly?"

"Well... You see, Michael- I've gone through a LOT with it, really." Brock explained.

Michael looked attentively into Brock's big sparkly eyes. He was all ears.

"Once I- I was a neglected kid at school, and I- I was always taunted and looked down..." tears seemed to wear in Brock's eyes as he explained his story. "They say I'm lame and useless... They said I'm USELESS..."

Brock couldn't hold in his tears anymore. He started crying as more and more tears ran down his little face. Michael was heartbroken as he comforted his stepbrother.

"Sorry, my feelings got the better of me..." Brock gently pushed Michael away as he rubbed away his tears, hiding his face from him. "I really am such a hopeless kid..."

"No you aren't..." Michael tried to comfort him as he sighed a little.

"But don't worry," Brock continued as Michael looked into his eyes. "Lucky for me, Eddy is always there to comfort me before you came around. I talk with him, I chat with him- we had so many fun times together! Now, that I have you, I'm sure the three of us will be the best of friends, am I right?"

Brock then hugged both Eddy and Michael as he finally showed a sunshiny smile on his face.

Michael looked at him and smiled along.

"I promise you, brother, I'll protect you no matter the cause. We'll be absolute best buds forever, right Eddy?"

Michael and Brock both looked at the pillow and smiled. Helen has been watching them from the very beginning. Happy sparkle matter appeared above her head as she said,

"In the name of Butterfly Bark, protect and bless these two little angels..."

Helen walked away with a motherly smile on her face.
