Hawkodile's P. O. V.
It was a sunny morning in the Unikingdom. Everybody was enjoying their day- except for me.
"Stupid, backstabbing, heart-crushing, half eagle half alligator!" I snapped. "We were bros for such a long time, I treated him like a real brother! And HE?!? He betrayed me because of a pair of shades! I mean- we promised to never hate each other no matter who gets the shades, he even said okay! What a-"
I stopped. I didn't want to mention Eagleator's name anymore. He's just a big show off who thinks he's the best fighter in the whole wide world.
I finally arrived at the Unikingdom castle- home of the magical Princess Unikitty. She just made an announcement about needing a bodyguard and a scientist. I wanted to apply for the bodyguard, since Science was never my best subject. I loved fighting ever since I was a kid- well, for justice, of course.
I knocked on the castle's door and waited patiently. It was this moment that I realised- someone came to apply for a job at the same time as me. I looked down and saw the most beautiful person I've ever met...
I went bright red. She was so pretty, adorable, angelic, and gorgeous! I fell for her at the first glance.
She noticed me eventually, and she smiled and greeted me politely.
"Hi," she said. "I am Fox, Vixana Curie Fox. Call me Vixie- or Dr. Fox. And you, kind sir?"
I blushed more. Her smile was so breathtaking! It's like she came down from heaven, sent by the Gods to bless everyone living in this amazing kingdom... Oh, she's such a beauty~
"Umm... sir?"
"OH!" I was surprised. It seemed that I had spaced out for a while.
"Umm... Uhh... Hi! I-I-I am Roger... uhh... Roger Fethry Crocker! Umm... Call me Hawkodile! Uhh... Everybody does!"
Dr. Fox looked at me in the eyes. I was shivering at the moment, worrying that she would treat me like a freak.
But, to my surprise, she just smiled and said,"It's okay to be nervous while you introduce yourself, nice to meet you by the way!".
Ah, what a lady~
Just when I was about to tell her how incredibly beautiful she is, a grey, brick-like somebody came and opened the doors.
"Umm... You are... Roger Fethry Crocker?" he pointed to me and asked.
"Eeyup." I replied.
"And you must be Vixana Curie Fox." he continued, pointing at Dr. Fox.
"Yes, I am." she replied.
"Come on in," he continued. "It's time for the job interview. Let me show you the way to the office- better known as the Princess's room. Ah, why do I let her decide where the interview will be held..."
Dr. Fox and I entered the castle. Boy, is it wonderful... The walls are mostly pink, the rooms are all tidy- until I saw the kitchen.
It was a TOTAL mess.
"Don't mind the kitchen, I'll clean it later." said the grey brick. "I am the Princess's butler, Richard Dimwold Gray. Call me Rick- or Richard, if you like. I've been here for a long time. The King and Queen went searching for a new land and they left the Princess in charge of the kingdom, while I'm in charge of the castle. Here's the 'office', good luck with the interview."
"Thanks, Rick!" Dr. Fox and I replied in unison as we entered the 'office'.
Oh my gosh, it was a bigger mess than the kitchen! The 'office' was full of stuff scattered around the place, and there's even bits of food everywhere!
The Princess was waiting for us in her bed, drinking a glass of juice.
"Oh, hi there!" she greeted us enthusiastically. "I am Princess Unikitty, and welcome to the job interview!"
"Hi, Princess Unikitty!" replied the two of us. The Princess is quite a nice person, actually. Her personality was like- full of sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows.
"You first!" she pointed at Dr. Fox and said.
"Okay!" she replied. "See ya' later, Hawkodile!"
"Okay, bye," I replied. "Hope ya' pass the interview!"
I prayed for her hard as soon as I exited the office. I hope she got her job.
A few minutes later, she finally came out. She looked very excited.
"Hawkodile, I passed! I'm a royal scientist now!!!!!" she said as she hugged me. I blushed instantly. Her hugs are so enjoyable! I have to admit, she's quite squishy!
She noticed her actions and immediately apologised.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm just- too excited..." she said. "Have fun with the interview!"
"Okay, thanks!" I replied as I thought about what Dr. Fox just said.
Have fun? I thought to myself.
As soon as I reentered the 'office', the Princess greeted me with a warm 'hello'.
Suddenly, I realised that didn't feel so nervous anymore. Maybe attending a job interview isn't that bad after all!
"Sooooooooooo, you're Roger, I see," she said. "Or may I call you 'Hawkodile'?"
"Any name you like, Your Highness." I replied.
"Call me Unikitty," she said. "Or Princess, if you like. I never really got used to overly proper manners."
"Okay then, Princess." I replied.
"Good." she said. "So, you're here for a job as my bodyguard, huh?"
"Yup." I replied.
"Well, can you punch stuff?" she asked.
"Of course," I replied. "Punching is my middle name!"
"Uhh... Isn't your middle name 'Fethry'?" She asked.
"It's just a joke." I replied.
"Oh yeah~ sorry..." she said.
"It's okay, Princess." I replied.
"Very well," she continued. "So, what would you do during your free time?"
"I'll train, I'll fight, and I'll punch stuff!" I replied.
"Impressive!" she said. "And what's your favourite song?"
"'Beat It!', by Michael Jackson." I replied.
"Food?"
"Toast."
"Drink?"
"Fruit punch!"
"Musical instrument?"
"Electric guitar!"
"Dance?"
"Flamenco dancing."
"Catchphrase?"
"Time for punches! Wait- what?!?"
"Alright! You're HIRED!!!!!" said the Princess with a wink.
"Huh? What the- Uhh... I mean- ALRIGHT!!! Thanks, Princess!"
"You're welcome!" she replied. "See ya' tomorrow!"
"Okay!" I replied as I exited the castle, confused yet thrilled.
"So, you passed?" Dr. Fox asked me as I approached her.
"Heck yeah!" I replied.
"Well, we could hang out more often! That's great news!" she exclaimed. "What could I say? Congratulations! And... well... let's hang out more often, shall we?"
"Sure, no prob!" I replied. That day was the happiest day of my life, I must say!
I smiled. I would often think about that very day, and I would end up smiling like an idiot. I did it again today, and yes, liked I said, I smiled like an idiot.
"Hey, Hawkodile." Dr. Fox's call from outside my treehouse broke the silence. "Come down here, you really have to try out Master Frown's handmade blueberry cookies, they're irresistible! Don't let Puppycorn finish them all before you get to taste 'em!"
"Oh, okay, comin'!" I called back as I went down to meet my crush and my friends.
