S1 Ep1

Ace Degenerate

Cherry sighed as she turned off her alarm. Wanting to go back to sleep, she quickly lifted her head up, confused, when she smelled pancakes. That's when she realized that her parents must have come home last night. With a smile on her face, she got out of bed and walked towards her closest. Flipping through, she picked a nice outfit before grabbing her undergarments and heading to her conjoined bathroom. Stepping out of the shower, she dried her body and changed into the clothes she had picked.

She slipped into her ripped mom jeans and paired it with a grey spaghetti strap crop tank top. After quickly drying her hair, she pulled it into a pony tail with a few pieces falling out, framing her face. While brushing her teeth, she grabbed her socks and shoes and placed them on her bed.

Shrugging on her red and black checkered flannel, she slipped on her shoes, grabbed her sunglasses, keys, and headed downstairs.

"Morning sweety."

"Morning mom, morning pops."

"Morning kiddo."

Sitting down at the kitchen table, Cherry scarfed down her plate of blueberry pancakes. "Any plans?" "Yeah, Sam, Aisha and I are going to the movies." Cherry bid her parents goodbye before heading out the door. "Morning, Cherry!" "Morning, Mr. LaRusso!" The two waved at one another and Sam came out. "Morning Cherry, bye dad."

Daniel said goodbye to the two girls and told Cherry to be careful. Making sure her glasses wouldn't fall, she tugged on her helmet and straddled her 2018 Yamaha SR400. She does have a car - a 1964 blue Camaro. Since it's from the 60s, she has to work on it quite a lot, Daniel joins her whenever he cans. "Race you to Aisha's," Cherry said with a smirk before starting her motorcycle and racing out of her driveway. Sam chuckled and turned on her car before following Cherry.

The movie had ended quickly, and soon enough, Cherry was pulling up to her driveway. Taking off her helmet, she walked her motorcycle inside her garage before closing it and heading inside.

"Hey Cherry, how was the movie?"

"Black Panther was amazing!"

Wendy chuckled at her daughter and Liam smiled. "Hey, so mom and I are going out tonight. You know the rules, if you go out, be careful and don't stay out too late. Curfew is eleven." Cherry nodded and went up to her room, taking a quick nap.

Later that night, Cherry was cruising around on her motorcycle. She felt her phone buzz, so she pulled into a mall and killed the engine. Sitting on her bike, she pulled out her phone to see that she had received a text from Aisha. Before getting the chance to reply, however, she heard a door open and yelling. "I'm sorry! I didn't know you wanted to buy beer!" Cherry looked up to see an unfamiliar kid being pushed by someone who was very familiar. Four kids surrounded a Hispanic boy and the leader, Kyler, poured Pepto Bismo over the kid's head.

"Hey!" Cherry yelled.

Running towards them, she faced Kyler.

"Leave him alone, Kyler."

"He blew our cover of buying beer, stay out of it Cherry."

Kyler made to move past her, but Cherry shoved him. "C'mon, Cherry, I don't want to have to hit a girl." "Does it look like I care?" Kyler chuckled before a boy grabbed hold of Cherry and threw her at a red car. "Hey! Watch the car, man!"

"Now he wants to intervine," Cherry muttered before standing up, a hand on her side. "Just leave the dork and girl alone." She saw the boy make his way behind the man and Kyler and his group began to insult the man. Kyler then pushed him, causing the man to karate kick him.

Cherry smirked before joining him. She punched one of the boys before kicking another. "On your left!" The man turned to his left and kicked Kyler away. They then teamed up and took down the two that got back up. Both of them were slightly panting and they looked towards the boy. "Holy shit, how did you -" but he was cut off by yelling. Kyler had Cherry in a choke hold. "What's the matter?" Before Cherry could do anything, the man punched Kyler, giving Cherry the opportunity to flip him over and drop him.

They all got back up and two guys grabbed hold of Cherry while the other began to punch her. Kyler went for the man, but then he put Kyler in a choke hold.

"What's the matter? Can't breathe?"

The cops showed up and the boys all dropped Cherry. While she was being questioned, she watched as the man was put into a car. "Would you like an escort home?" "No, thank you. And don't worry, I'll take care of him," Cherry motioned towards the unnamed boy. The officer nodded and Cherry turned to the boy as the cops left.

"So, mind telling me your name?"

"Miguel."

"I'm Cheryl, but people call me Cherry - but, um, with a 'y' - 'cause of my hair." "Like in The Outsiders?" Cherry chuckled before nodding. "How'd you get here?" "Um, I walked." "Do you want a ride home?" Miguel nodded and Cherry lead him to her motorcycle. She handed him her helmet and he looked at her.

"What?" "What about you?" "What about me?" "Don't you need a helmet?" "Miguel, just put it on." Miguel sighed before putting it on. He watched as Cherry straddled the bike and she turned to him. "Aren't you getting on?" "Behind you?" "No, infront of the bike. Of course behind me. Unless you know how to ride."

That made Miguel sit behind her in an instant, causing the girl to let out a small laugh. "Where to?" Cherry zoomed down the streets, trying to get Miguel to his home as fast as possible. Pulling up to the apartment complex, she let Miguel get off. "I'm sorry about Kyler and his friends. They're all jerks." Miguel nodded at her and gave her helmet back. "I'm sorry about what he did to you." Miguel looked at the black eye Cherry was now sporting, along with some bruises and a busted lip. "Eh, it's fine. Trust me, I'll be okay."

Miguel nodded rather reluctantly.

"Will I see you around?"

Cherry put on her helmet and turned to Miguel.

"Maybe at school," she said, winked, then put on her sunglasses. "See you around." "Wait!" Cherry paused and turned to a blushing Miguel. "Uh, th - thank you." Killing the engine, she stood up from her motorcycle and walked towards Miguel. Smirking, she leaned up and pressed a gentle kiss to his bruised cheek.

"You'll definitely be seeing me around, Miguel Diaz."

She straddled her bike once more and without turning to face Miguel, she turned her keys. And just like that, Miguel watched as she sped away, a hand to his cheek on where she had kissed him. "You're welcome!" Miguel chucked at what Cherry had yelled out before sighing and heading inside. Upon arriving home, her parents hadn't arrived. Taking a quick shower, she changed into shorts and an oversized shirt before treating her wounds. She sighed knowing that she'll have the black eye for a while. As soon as her head hit her pillow, she was out like a light.
