S 2 Ep 8
Glory of Love
Cherry's parents had stayed for a little more than planned, but they were leaving that day. They at least got the chance to meet Miguel's mother and grandma, something that made Cherry happy. Speaking of, Cherry and Miguel are currently in her room. Cherry had showed him the movie That Night and they were now recreating a scene from said movie. Cherry had Ruler of My Heart playing on her record player and the two were slow dancing to the song. Miguel suddenly spun and dipped her, causing the girl to laugh before pulling Miguel's head down for a kiss.

Miguel leaned over, stretching his legs. "Okay, how about Friday?" Miguel asked. They're currently planning their second - or third - date. "What date would this be for you guys?" Aisha asked. "Third?" "No, fourth." "Why fourth?" "Golf N' Stuff and the movies was our first date."
"Mhm."
"Kissing and cuddling was our second date." "But it was on the same day?" "Okay, um - what about us having sex?" Cherry blushed as Aisha, Eli, and the twins looked over. "Opps." "You guys had -" but Tory put her hand over her brother's mouth, causing Cherry to send the girl a grateful smile.
Cherry had talked to Tory about her flirting with Miguel. Tory's answer was "We wanted to see if your relationship was strong, and it is. Don't let Miguel go." Tony also explained it to Miguel, and now they're all friends in a way.
"You guys had sex?" Eli whispered.
Cherry nodded, the redness of her cheeks never fading.
"If you guys are looking for another date idea, why don't you come to the roller rink where I work on Friday? But, you're gonna have to wear costumes - it's the 80's." "We love the 80's. Plus, there's nothing more romantic than free hot dogs and chicken nugs," said Miguel. "Free? Not for you, you gotta pay up. Cherry can eat for free, though." Cherry laughed and turned to Miguel. "So?" "Okay, but I call dibs Anthony Michael Hall from Weird Science." "I don't think you have to call dibs on that," Cherry chuckled.
Miguel patted Cherry's thigh before getting up and leading Eli to the side. She watched the two interact. Miguel had told her everything last night, so she smiled upon seeing them make up. Eli then walked over and helped Cherry up. "Hey, I just wanted to apologize from the day at the mall. I'm sorry about going against you, but I was just mad at Demetri."
"I understand, Eli. You guys aren't friends anymore, but I am friends with Miyagi-do. It did start my love for karate. So, friends?"
"No. You're my sister."
Cherry smiled at him and pulled him into a hug. Miguel smiled from where he was standing and the two made their way over to the latino boy. "So, we're all good, right?" "Yeah. Cobra Kai for life. But can you please start calling me Hawk?" Cherry laughed at him and nodded. "Okay, Hawk."
"Everybody fall in."
Once again, Cherry was in between Miguel and Hawk. "Today we'll be learning one of the most important lessons a Cobra Kai could ever know."
"Where's sensei Kreese?" "Yeah, shouldn't we wait for the sensei emeritus before we get going?" Johnny gave Stingray a look. "Or not."
"Mr. Kreese will no longer be joining us." Everyone but Cherry looked at each other, they all seemed unsure of Johnny's decision. "I made a promise when I became your sensei: to always look out for your best interests. Despite how hard this may be for all of us, he didn't have our best interests at heart. John Kreese may have founded Cobra Kai, but he no longer represents what this dojo stands for. His Cobra Kai was old and out dated. He refused to move forward, and what happens when we do that, Mr. Diaz?"
"You get stuck like cement."
"Exactly. To be a great fighter, you gotta learn to adapt. This creed on the wall. . . Follow it to the letter, it'll make you strong. It'll make you formidable. It will also make you an asshole. 'Cause that's just black paint on a white wall. But life's not black and white. More often than not, it's grey. And it's in those grey areas where Johnny Lawrence's Cobra Kai sometimes shows mercy."
Cherry smiled at the man.
"That doesn't mean you still can't be badass, it's still a requirement. But you've got to learn to think - not just with your gut or your fists, to really use -" He tapped his head. "This. Which leads me to today's lesson." He grabbed a board and broke it in half using his head.
"Headbutting. Grab a partner."
The couple immediately partnered up, not wanting for anyone else to be the other's partner. After a while of practicing, Miguel went to go talk to Johnny. Cherry watched as Hawk headbutted Chubs and Tory approached her. "Hey." "Hey." "Pretty cool, huh? Tony began whining." Cherry chuckled and motioned for Tory to headbutt her.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive."
Tory did, but Cherry hardly move.
"You want to try?" Tory asked, but was hoping Cherry would deny. Cherry didn't deny and headbutted Tory, causing the girl to grasp her head. "I think you take the word 'hardheaded' to a whole new meaning." Cherry chuckled and Hawk nodded at her with respect, Cherry returning the nod.

Friday came rather quick and Johnny was nice enough to drive Miguel over to the roller rink. Miguel only waited five minutes until Cherry pulled up in her car. She stepped out and Miguel's jaw dropped.
"You look hot."
Cherry was dressed in light wash jeans that went up to her knee and a white top that she tied halfway up so her stomach was showing. Her hair was curled she had on white sneakers. "I can say the same for you," Cherry said as she looked her boyfriend up and down.
Miguel was wearing black jeans, an orange shirt and a red, leather jacket. "Wait for it." He took out black sunglasses. Cherry chuckled and Miguel held his arm out.
"Okay, Baby, want to go inside?"
Cherry chuckled and took his hand. They skated around for a while then decided to go find Tory - who was with two customers. "Hey, what time do you go on break?" Cherry asked. "I know it's date night, but I wanted to hang out with you." The two turned around and were shocked to see Sam and Robby. "Oh, uh. Hey, we didn't recognize you." "I dig the costumes." Cherry pulled Sam into a quick hug and did the same for Robby. "Tory, this is Sam and Robby," Miguel introduced. "Yeah, we met already. Sam and I had a little run in at the beach club."
The tension was thick between the two girls and Sam saw Miguel wrap his arm around Cherry's waist.
Tory bid her friends goodbye and Sam and Robby left to go get skates.
"That went well," Cherry sighed.
Miguel kissed the top of her head and they went back to skating. "You want to talk to her?" Cherry asked as they saw Sam alone. Miguel nodded and he made his way over while Cherry continued to skate.
"Hey."
"What do you want?"
"Look, I know that we ended on a bad note. I just wanted to fix things and be friends again. . . And about Tory -" "I can't believe that you can be friends with a girl like that." "You don't even know her." "I know enough." Tory saw the two together, but didn't know that Cherry told Miguel it was okay to talk to Sam. "I should be the one that's pissed off. You only dated me because you were jealous that I love Cherry."
"I didn't -" but Sam cut herself off. "Cherry said it should be good to clear the air between us. I asked her and she supported it. But I guess that it's a lost cause." Miguel then skated off and went back with Cherry. "How'd it go?" "Looks like we won't be friends any time soon. But I'm glad that you guys are."
Cherry sighed and pulled Miguel into a hug.
"It's fine, Cherry. Really. Let's just have fun. That was the whole purpose of us coming here." "Yeah, because if we didn't, I'm pretty sure I would be waking up sore tomorrow." Miguel sighed and kissed Cherry before they went back to skating.
When they heard screaming, they went where it was to see Sam had just pushed Tory. "What the hell Sam?!" Miguel yelled and quickly went to go help the girl up. Tony had just walked in and took over for Miguel. "I came to work and here I am, helping my sister 'cause a bitch decided to push her," Cherry heard him mutter.
She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and Tony sent her a small smile.
"What? Me? I - she -"
"Are you okay, Tory?" A security asked. Tory wrapped an arm around her brother and Miguel was by Cherry's side again. "Thanks." The security guard sent Sam and Robby out. "She's the one who started it!" Robby exclaimed. "You're out!" Sam and Cherry saw the smirk Tory had and Cherry's face hardened. Taking hold of Miguel's hand, they went back to the rink.
"This isn't what I hoped for," sighed Cherry.
"Babe, it's okay. Come on, let's get out of here."
