S 2 Ep 2
Back in Black
Miguel had let Cherry shower first, and as soon as they was ready, they walked into the kitchen. Cherry had covered her neck with her hair while Miguel desperately tried to cover his neck with his hoodie. Luckily, Carmen left for work and Miguel's grandma went to her room. They both quickly ate the breakfast that was prepared for them before grabbing their bags. Walking out the door, hand in hand, they met up with Johnny. "Nice paint," Cherry commented upon seeing his car. "Nice marks," he motioned towards Cherry's and Miguel's necks.
They both blushed a deep red, causing Johnny to laugh at them.
Cherry led Miguel to her car and they threw their bags in the back where Cherry's karate bag was. Revving the engine, Cherry challenged Johnny and he smirked at the girl. "You're on." Cherry put on her glasses before speeding out of the complex and taking a shortcut to get to the dojo before Johnny could. Miguel laughed at his girlfriend as soon as they arrived at the dojo.
"You are insane! Did you know that?"
"No," Cherry sarcastically answered.
Miguel laughed once again and handed her her bag. "Thanks." The male nodded and wrapped his arm around the girl and the two walked into the dojo - Cherry is now the only student to have a spare key for the dojo. They separated and went to go change into their Gis. "Hey," Aisha greeted upon entering the room.
"Hey."
"It's been a long time since we hung out. We should make plans." "We should. Tomorrow night, my place? We'll order pizza, watch movies, play video games, bake, sing, dance, just like the good old days." Aisha smiled at the redhead. "I'd love that." "Great. And trust me, no boys. I'll tell Miguel that it's gonna be a girls' night only tomorrow." Aisha nodded and they changed into their Gis.
"By the way, nice hickey. I'm sure Miguel has more. And I hope you guys used protection."
"Oh my God, we just made out. . . And gave each other hickies. But we didn't have sex." Aisha laughed and Cherry tried to calm herself down, also trying to stop blushing.
Going back outside, Miguel quickly met up with Cherry.
"Would you hate me if I said I wanted to make things right with Sam?" "No. I could never hate you. . . I've also been thinking that maybe I should try to patch things up with her too. I don't want years of friendship to go down the drain and not put up a fight." Miguel nodded and kissed her forehead.
Miguel and Cherry then made their way over to Aisha, Eli, and Bert who were talking to two new kids. "Guys, look, they're just messing with you," Cherry told them. "Thanks." "Besides, everyone knows your names are Assface and Douchebag," Miguel said, smirking. Cherry rolled her eyes and apologized for her boyfriend's behavior. The door opened and a man walked in. "Who's that?" "I don't know." Miguel squeezed Cherry's hand before walking infront of the man. "Hey, uh, can I help you, sir?" Cherry felt a weird vibe coming from the man and decided that she didn't like him and will try her best to stay away from him.
"No. But maybe I can help you."
Cherry made her way over and stood by Miguel. "Unless you are here to talk to sensei Lawrence, I suggest you leave." The man smirked at her and they heard Johnny approach them. Miguel pulled Cherry away and they both silently watched the two men talked. Johnny told them to fall in and they did.
"Class, we have a visitor. This is Mr. Kreese, he's just an observer. Pretend like he's not even here. Mr. Diaz, warm them up."
Miguel stood infront of the students and bowed, them bowing back.
"Fighting positions. Front kick! Hiya!"
"Hiya!"
"Force strike! Hiya!"
"Hiya!"
"Side dab! Hiya!"
Every student but Cherry dabbed, and she groaned as she pinched the bridge of her nose. She knew that Johnny would get angry only because they had a guest.
"What the hell was that?"
"We were just messing around. We have eleven and a half months until the next All Valley." "Yeah, besides, we already know how to kick ass." Everyone laughed causing Cherry to groan. "You're all gonna get yourselves killed," she muttered. "Oh, yeah. Really, huh? So you know everything? There's nothing left to learn?" Aisha giggled and Cherry's eyes widened. "What's so funny Ms. Robinson?" "I'm sorry, sensei, you just wouldn't understand." "Try me." "It's a snake-doo." They all began to snicker and Mr. Kreese watched as Cherry face palmed - she seemed to be the only one who actually cared and focused.
"What's a snake-doo?"
They all began to do a motion with their hands and Cherry groaned. "They're dead."
"Quiet! Five a.m. tomorrow morning." Johnny told them where to meet and threatened them by saying that if they don't show, then they're off the team. "Class dismissed. Ms. Bennington! My office." Cherry shared a look with Miguel before following Johnny and Mr. Kreese. "I noticed that you didn't partake in their ways. Why is that?"
"I normally would, but we had a guest today. I figured it'd be best to leave a good impression. Looks like we didn't."
"They didn't. You did."
They both turned to Mr. Kreese.
"You showed how focused you can get and know when to draw the line. I assume she's the firecracker that you've warned me about." Johnny nodded and he dismissed Cherry after that.

Everyone was at some type of construction site. Cherry was wearing black leggings and her Nike black sports bra. She had on a thin jacket, too. "Don't add too much water. We want to make it nice and thick." Miguel and Cherry were stirring as they were mixing cement. Why? Only God knows what goes on in Johnny's head. "Sensei, why are we mixing cement?" "Don't ask questions. Keep stirring." They did as told and only stopped when they heard a trunk honk. Everyone turned to see a cement truck pulling in. "He's mad if he wants us to get in there," Cherry muttered to herself.
But she knows she'll do it no matter what.
Johnny ordered them to stop and they stood infront of him. "You think winning the All Valley gives you the right to goof off? Well I got news for ya: winning one championship don't mean squat! A true champion never stops training. You gotta keep moving forward, otherwise you're gonna get stuck exactly where you are. It's like the cement in this truck."
Cherry's assumption became true. "If that drum doesn't start turning, the cement will get hard, and get stuck. Is that what you want to happen to you?"
"No sensei."
"Good. Then climb up, get inside, and make it spin."
Everyone looked at one another.
"Sensei, we're sorry for messing around," Aisha apologized. "We learned our lesson," Eli added. But Johnny only pulled the ladder down. "Get in!" "Sensei, this seems kinda dangerous. I mean the fumes alone -"
"Quiet!"
Everyone turned to Mr. Kreese, Cherry glaring at him. "This man lead you to the mountaintop. And you question him? Look at you - look at all of you. I can't believe this pathetic pack of pussies competed in the All Valley. And let alone won. It's an absolute miracle." Cherry felt herself growing angry, making a fist as she tried to calm herself down.
"And who's responsible for that miracle? Johnny Lawrence. The best student in the history of Cobra Kai. My student." "You were sensei's sensei?" "Better believe it, kid. And I tell ya, I never trained atougher student in my whole life. So if you know what's good for you, you better listen to every goddamn word he says."
Miguel took Cherry's hand and squeezed it. The girl looked up at him and slightly nodded.
"We'll do it, sensei."
Johnny nodded and Miguel climbed up first, Cherry after him. Eli quickly joined them, along with Chris and Aisha. "Don't just stand there. You don't want to get stuck. Move!" "All right." They all began and try to push - key word: try. They all kept slipping. "Come on, let's get pushing." "Let's go, guys! Move it!" "Come on. All together, let's go!" They began to push it, slow, but they were still pushing. Cherry heard the cheers of encouragement from Johnny and groaned. Miguel and Chris fell, but the rest helped them up. "Come on babe, we got this."
"You got this, guys. Let's go!"
Soon enough, they've managed to be pushing the thing fast and everyone cheered. Johnny had called them down and began to douse them with the hose.
"You should all be proud of yourselves. I know I'm proud. Your parents should be proud, too. If you told them what we did here today, which we won't." Cherry chuckled. "You pushed forward like champions. Never stopped. Never being satisfied. Never giving up. But if you keep pushing, and you keep moving forward, you're gonna go to places you've never even dreamed of.
