Clay finally arrived at the wedding.

But, unfortunately, it has already started.

"Now, it's time for the bride and groom to make their pledge." King Halbert announced.

Lance and Macy looked at each other nervously while Clay ran towards the door of the Royal Arena.

"Umm...Lance," Macy whispered to him. "What should we do now?"

"It's okay, Princess. I've got this." Lance whispered back confidently.

"Everybody!" Lance called to get everyone's attention. "I have an announcement to make."

Everybody stared at Lance as silence fell across the arena.

Then, Lance said the most shocking thing that he's ever said.

"I will not be wed to the Princess today."

Everybody gasped. Cuthbert and The King were very surprised.

"What are you doing, son?" Cuthbert scolded him. "You were about to be King!"

"Yes, I know, father." Lance replied. "And I don't want to be King."

"Why, Lance? This was your dream!" Cuthbert was annoyed and mad.

"I know, and this was my biggest dream. But, look at me. Am I fit for a ruler? I say, no. Why, y'all ask? Well... It's because... I'm just a lousy, useless, spoiled brat that no one likes. And the Princess loves men who is the complete opposite of who I am. I'm nothing like her dream man. I don't deserve to be with the Princess. I don't deserve to become a King. But, she still loves me, and I very, very appreciate that. Thank you, Princess Macy. Furthermore, I don't really have great leadership skills. Unlike Clay. Clay is the kind of man who is very honourable, responsible, diligent, disciplined, fair, cool, handsome, awesome, and mostly-heroic. Clay is a true leader. And he's always ready to rise up for a challenge. While me? I would usually loll around on my couch and do nothing. That's not what a leader would do. Clay is a great man. Even though I tend to annoy him most of the time, he would always forgive me and treat me like a brother, like I always did. We were actually very close, but, even I didn't know that he also has a crush on the Princess..."

Clay ran into the hall of the arena. He heard everything. And he just stood there, without moving, while thousands and thousands of eyes were looking at him. He was nervous as he immediately looked at Lance, who saw him and greeted him.

"I shall continue." Lance said. "Yes, Clay, too, has a crush on the Princess, but he preferred to keep it inside. Clay is different from who I am. Clay is a dedicated Knight, and he fits to become a leader. Not only the leader of the Nexo Knights, but also the leader of this whole realm. Clay, do you agree to take the Princess' hand in marriage?"
Lance asked him courteously as he held Macy's hand and gave it to Clay.

Clay was speechless. But, he has made his decision.

"I do." He said as he took Macy's hand. "And I promise to love and take care of her with all my heart, and also rule this Kingdom together with her, fair and just." Clay said as everybody cheered for him.

Lance smiled happily at him as he turned to Macy.

"Macy, your turn. Do you agree to take Clay as your King?"

Macy smiled at him as she said,

"I do! And I promise to give him my heart and love him for eternity."

Lance smiled once more. He then turned to Cuthbert and the King as His Majesty nodded.

Cuthbert didn't look pleased. But, moments later, he finally spoke.

"Oh, okay..." Cuthbert agreed with a sigh. "The choice is yours..."

Lance grinned happily as he proudly announced that...

"Now, I proudly announce the two of you...King and Queen. Your Majesty, King Clay, and Your Highness, Queen Macy, congratulations! Now, Your Majesty, you may kiss the bride-I mean, Queen."

Clay smiled at Macy as she smiled back at him. Then, he wrapped his arms around her waist as she wrapped hers around his neck. The crowd cheered happily as their lips touched.

"All hail King Clay! All hail Queen Macy!" everybody rejoiced.

Clay and Macy received their crowns from the King and the Queen respectively. As the crowns were placed on their heads, everybody cheered louder.

Clay was very happy that day. Everybody as well, especially Jestro and the Nexo Knights. He looked at the crowd and saw the shiniest Knight, crying the proudest and happiest tears he has ever cried, while he clapped for the new King.

King Clay smiled at him as he smiled back.

"You deserve to be with her, Clay. You really do." said Lance.

"Thanks, Lance. You really are my true friend." Clay thanked him as he and his Queen waved at the cheering crowd.

That very day, is one of the most historical and memorable days of the Kingdom of Knighton.

That very day, is when the Kingdom of Knighton welcomed and hailed to their new King and Queen, their new rulers of their beloved realm.
