Y/n's pov

That weekend, I sat at my home office chatting with friends online. One of them, gravity_isnt_real, also know as Ochako, was someone who I frequently complained to. I turned on the video call, moving it over to my second monitor so I could do some extra work at the same time.

"Hmm, sounds kinda like you're becoming more friendly with her!" Ochako said happily.

"Ew, I hate that idea." I replied, "There is no way I'd ever be friendly with her willingly."

"Well, love can make you do crazy things." She cut out slightly as she laughed.

"Oh, no way. I know you're dead set on me falling in love with my soulmate cuz of that crappy fortune teller at the far last year, but I'm telling you - it's not her." I said remembering the fair i went to with Ochako, Deku and Shoto last year.

I heard her sigh, "Come on, you're not gonna find your true love with this attitude."

"Urgh, love is so overhyped." I said.

"Sure sure. By the way, isn't there only a few days until you're in Paris?" She said, "The city of love~?

"Fuck... I forgot about that." I sighed, "I really don't wanna go..."

"Come on, you'll have fun!" She said, "And if you're so against Kyoka being your soulmate, then maybe you'll meet someone else in Paris~!"

"I'm literally going to hang up on you if you keep this up."

"Haha, okay I'll stop!"

Denki pulled up in front of my house and I got in the car.

"Oh? Forgot to do laundry again?" Denki said as he saw my slightly shorter then I'd usually wear skirt.

"Oh, fuck off." I slumped back in the chair then made up an excuse, "...Mum got it for me and is forcing me to wear it."

"Just like back in high school when you liked- Oh, what was her name? Momo!" He said and I rolled my eyes, "Well, exited for Paris this Thursday?"

"Tch, no."

I walked into the IT room and gave Deku a glare as he was about to say something. He just laughed it off and shrugged. It was a quiet day as usual, until Deku sent me to go grab us lunch.

I walked out the office, down the busy city streets to cafe Deku and I usually, frequented together. After getting two ham and cheese rolls, I made my way back to the office. Of course my clumsy ass just had to go and drop my purse on the bustling sidewalk, but luckily someone picked it up and handed it to me.

A blond man stood in front of me with a half smile, "Careful there love, you don't won't your nice bag stepped on."

"Uh, right. Thank you." I said, quickly checking nothing had fallen out, "Um, sorry but I have to-"

"Come now, there's no rush." He said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes, "Why not join me for coffee?"

"Sorry, I really have to-"

"What's your name? It must be a pretty one, considering your gorgeous face~!"

I began getting irritated and pushed him out of my way and started walking. After five minutes I realised he was following me. I didn't want this creep working out where I worked, so I tried desperately to think of something. As I thought, I noticed Jirou. I waved at her with a big smile, to which she made a confused face. As I got closer to her, I placed my hands on her shoulders and brought her closer to me.

"What the-?"

"Play along, please?" I asked in a hushed voice, and she nodded, then I spoke louder, "Gosh, baby, I was looking everywhere for you!"

"R-right! Sorry, I got lost..?" She stuttered, struggling to catch up, which was kind of cute.

"Hehe, you should have just messaged me silly." I said, then placed a quick kiss on her check, grabbing her arm like a clingy girlfriend, "Come on, we don't wanna be late for our couple's... Uh... Massage..?"

I admit I fell out at the end there, but I'm pretty sure my pursuer had left. I turned around and couldn't see his blond head anywhere.

"Um, so what was that?" Jirou asked with a pink face.

"Oh, right." I didn't let go of her arm just in case, "Sorry, someone was following me, but I think they're gone now."

"I see." She said seriously, holding my hand, "Better not let go yet, in case they're still there."

I couldn't help the smile on my face as we walked, "Thanks. You seem to always come to my rescue, hey?"

She blushed more, turning her head to face forward more.

Jirou's pov

I did my best to compose myself after the sudden kiss on my cheek, especially after realising the reason for it. But I just couldn't. My face felt hot even after I'd made sure she returned to the office safely and I sat on the top floor. I sent Denki to get me a cold drink as I opened my computer.

Obviously there was no romantic meaning to the kiss and the hug and the walking back. I understood that quiet well. But why was my heart still pounding anyway?

"Here ya go!" Denki said walking in with a smile.

I almost instinctively frowned at him, "Thank you."

"Are you okay? You seem... Distracted?" He asked.

"I'm fine, go away."

He shrugged and left. I took a sip of the drink and sighed. I quickly typed out an email to Y/n making sure she was going home with someone, like Denki or Izuku. She replied quickly her message saying she was going to catch the train home today.

"Idiot..." I muttered as I send another email informing her I would drive her home.

I waited at my car for five minutes before Y/n walked out the elevator. She had a lazy smile as she waved to Denki, but pouted when she saw me.

"Thanks for this." She said gripping her bag slightly tighter then usual, looking to the side awkwardly.

"The safety of my employees is always one of my priorities." I said unlocking the car.

She got in the back behind me, placing her bag next to her. I adjusted the mirror so I could see her for a second, and we made eye contact for a second. I looked away quickly and started the car. I suddenly remembered the last time I had given her a lift and blushed. I hated to admit it, but she was extremely attractive, especially in what she wore when I picked her up last time.

"Um, do you need my address?" She asked awkwardly.

"I think I remember." I said a bit rudely, sounding like I was shutting her off.

She furrowed her brows slightly and crossed her arms, "Alright."

I wanted to apologise, but I didn't want to apologise to her. She was irritating for some reason.

We sat in silence the whole ride, but exchanged proper goodbyes, thank yous, etc. I made sure she made it into the house before driving off. After sending a quick text to Denki, I pulled up to his house. I grabbed my purse and knocked on his door.

"What are you so grumpy for?" Denki asked as he let me inside.

I rolled my eyes as we walked into the kitchen. Hanta handed me a beer as we sat at the table.

"Is it Y/n?" Hanta asked Denki, earning a glare from me.

"Dunno, she won't tell me." Denki shrugged.

"Shut up, just a bad day is all." I complained.

Denki smiled at his phone as he got a message, "...So Y/n kissed you?"

I almost did a spit-take and coughed at his sudden statement, "N-no!"

Hanta looked over Denki's shoulder and laughed, "Y/n couldn't be less wrong, hey?"

Denki slid his phone across the table to me, it was open to a text chat. With Y/n.

'How do you think Jirou would react if say a girl kissed her cheek randomly in the middle of the street..? After all, she's straight- right?'

I choked on my drink and the couple in front of me laughed.

"Well? Going to explain this?"

"No." I slumped back in my chair and folded my arms.

Did Y/n really think I was straight? I mean, it's not like I go around flaunting my lesbian-ness, but still. The last person who thought I was straight was my grandmother.

"What should I say then?" Denki asked with a sly grin.

"Tch, I don't care." I mumbled taking a sip of my drink as Denki laughed and typed some thing on his phone.

The next few days past easily, with only small problems. On the Tuesday night, I triple checked all my cases for the third time that week and set up for tomorrow. Wednesday night I was to spend at a hotel closer to the airport with Y/n. So Wednesday after work, I picked up my luggage and set myself up in my hotel room, next to Y/n's.
