Part 1, Chapter 8: Figuring it all Out

Amelia laid down in bed, tired so suddenly after being so awake a minute ago. She closed her eyes, the image of Golden Freddy flickering into her mind a few times before she fell asleep.

She looked down at her white lab coat, feeling some sort of hatered raging through her veins. She held a srynge in her hand, the tube filled with a bright purple liquid. Deep down, she knew the name. She knew what it would do. "Hey," someone beside her growled, "Hurry up with that injection!" She looked at the person, seeing a man in a police uniform on each side of her. Looking around more, she saw that she was in a metal room, the two officers holding down a struggling man on the surgery table. She stared at him, feeling it wrong to inject the man with the liquid. But he had done something so terribly wrong, she knew it. The man's head was covered by a plastic bag, making his features unvisible to her. "Why do I have to do it?," she whispered.

One of the officers yelled at her, "Melody, come on, this guy is the murderer of those five children! He has to accept his punishment!" "NO, DON'T!," the man held down shouted, "PLEASE DON'T, I'M INNOCENT! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" Amelia grolwed, suddenly angry at the man. "You kill those children, hide the bodies, then deny all of it?!?," she yelled, shoving the needle violently into the man's neck. "You are a lame excuse for a human being!" The man began to spasm, but he wouldn't stop begging for his life. "Please, no....,"  he whispered, slowly going limp. "I'm......innocent....." The officers let go of the man, one of them taking his pulse.

He nodded, saying, "He's gone." The other one nodded as well, slowly pulling off the bag to reveal the man's face. Amelia screamed, immediately recognizing the face of Vincent, his hair brown and his opened dead eyes a lighter brown. Tears were running down his face, letting Amelia know he'd been crying as he died. He had been begging for them not to kill him, begging them to believe he was innocent. But they didn't believe him. "Oh my god," Amelia whispered, covering her mouth with both hands. "Vincent, it was you? This entire time?"

Amelia screamed again, jerking up in her bed as her alarm clock went off. She shut it off, panting. The feeling of dread filled her as she remembered she had to go to work, but she knew she had to. One of these days she had to face Vincent again. Or better yet, Vincent's corpse. The memory of the purple injection filled her mind, and how his hair and eyes had been brown in the dream. Now they were purple, and she hated to admit it, but the same color as the injection.

Swinging herself out of bed, she got dressed, not bothering with a shower this morning as she put her shoes on and walked to work. As she walked, she remembered everything about all of her dreams, wondering why she didn't see it before. Wondering why in the world she didn't see it until now. All of the facts added up, when she thought about it. Before she knew it, she was standing in front of the Pizzeria door. She stared at it, looking inside to see kids already running about inside. Other people were here, right? He couldn't hurt her. But then again, he's killed four children while the Pizzeria was crowded before. What would stop him from killing again in broad daylight?

"Nothing," Amelia said to herself, opening the door with a shaky hand. She wasn't ready to face Vincent, but she had to. As the door opened, Foxy walked up to her, holding his detatched hook in his metal paw. Amelia sighed, wondering how the heck Foxy knew she was the repair woman. She motioned for him to follow her, and he did. All the way back to the office where she knew Vincent was. She felt somewhat safer with Foxy at her side to face Vincent. As if the animatronic would attack Vincent if he tried anything funny.

"Hey Vincent?," Amelia called, peeking her head into the room. Vincent, who was standing in front of the security monitors sipping a cup of coffee, turned to look at her. "Yeah?," he answered, looking her up and down. Was he checking her out? No, impossible. Right? Fidgeting a nit, Amelia continued, "You never told me where the tools to repair the animatronics were." He nodded and smiled a bit, walking to the back of the office and picking up a small toolbox. "Everything you need should be in here," he said, handing it to her. She took it from him, her hand barely brushing against his. As it did, she flinched away, backing up with the tools in her arms. Oh crap, Amelia thought to herself, Now he'll know that I know something!

She watched Vincent's smile fade into a sad frown, watching him shake his head and turn away. "You got what you came for," he said quietly, "Now get out of my office. Now." Amelia nodded frantically, rushing away from the office. Foxy thundered after her, still holding his hook in his paw. "L-Lass, wait-t up!," Foxy's animatronic voice said, "I-I can't-t r-run that fas-st!" Amelia slowed down, turning to look at the animatronic. He was standing behind her, looking down at her with his metalic eyes. "I-I remember ye, l-lass," he said, still looking down at her. She shrugged and sat down on an empty chair, opening the tool box to search for what she needed. "I-I'm sorry for you'r-re friend," Foxy whispered, his eyes closing. Amelia froze, shocked by what he said. "What did you just say?," she asked, thinking she heard him wrong.

Foxy tapped his neck, and Amelia remembered that he was skipping on his words. Something must have been wrong with his voice box too. Slowly prying away the metal on his neck, she began to fix his speaker. When she was finished, she closed the metal neck pale, letting him know it was okay to talk. "I said," Foxy said, all skipping gone from his voice, "I'm sorry for what I did to your friend. I was only doing what I was told to do." Amelia stared at him, feeling tears well up in her eyes. It stung her deep down to hear Foxy apoligize. "Don't cry lass," Foxy continued, putting his hook back on and screwing it in place himself, "Foxy hates to see ye young kiddos cry." He leaned forward, his metal hydralics shifting and swirling as he did so. Leaning close enough, Foxy wrapped his arms around Amelia, hugging her.

Amelia cried softly, her heart hurting in so many ways. She hugged back, burying her head into the soft fur of whatever was left of his suit, listening to the soft whirling of the metal work inside. Foxy rubbed her back with his huge fluffy paw, saying, "Please stop crying lass." Amelia pulled away a bit, wiping her eyes. All previous fear she had for Foxy was gone, making her confused a bit. Foxy refused to let go of her though. When Amelia tried pulling away again, Foxy said, "After that they all stayed away from me. All of them. They werw all afraid of me. I didn't mean to do it, I swear. It's been thirteen years since anyone came close to me. I've been alone for thirteen years, lass."

Staying still, Amelia felt bad for Foxy. He was only doing what he was told to do, he didn't know any better. Amelia sighed, resting her head against Foxy again. As she opened her mouth to talk, she heard Foxy yelp, feeling him move away from her. Looking up, she saw Jake there, a chair in his hands. "What, are you trying to eat poor Amelia too? Abby wasn't enough for you, you're still hungry you ass hole?" "Jake stop it!," Amelia yelled, standing up and blocking Jake's path to Foxy. She heard Foxy growl then, and turned around just in time to watch as he pushed her into the wall to charge at Jake. "FOXY NO," Amelia yelled, scared beyond belief. Foxy pinned Jake down, and the kids nearby started screaming. Foxy stayed still, growling at Jake as he pinned him down. He opened his mouth and leaned forward for Jake's head, making Amelia scream again.

Right before Foxy bit Jake's head, he began to jerk violently before falling off of Jake. Amlia looked up, seeing Vincent standing over Foxy and holding a bull taser. His eyes ere narrowed in a scowl, saying, "Foxy that's the last time you attack anyone. It's the scrap yard for you!" Amelia's eyes widened in terror. As Vincent went to electrocute Foxy again, Amelia jumped in the way, yelling, "NO!!!"

She thought for sure she was going get zapped, but nothing happened. Slowly opening her eyes, sh saw Vincent pointing the taser at her, the tip of it an inch from her face. "Get out of the way," he growled. Amelia shook her head, grabbing the taser and yanking it away. Vincent let out a surprised gasp, stumbling a bit as the taser was taken away from him. Amelia pointed it at him, turning it on high voltage and yelling, "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID, VINCENT! I KNOW WHAT YOU DID TO THOSE KIDS!" Her hand started shaking uncontrollably, making it nearly impossible for her to get a too aim as she thrusted the taser at his torso.

"Amelia," he whispered calmly, grabbing the end of the taser. Amelia watched as electric sparks urged through him, but he seemed unaffected by them. She growled, trying to pull it away from him. But she wasn't nearly as strong as he was. The lights in the Pizzeria flickered, some of them bursting in their sockets. The glass shards scattered on the floor, the kids screaming. "Amelia," Vincent said again, "I thought you were different. But you're just like everyone else I tried to tell." He yanked the taser away from Amelia, grasping it in both hands and breaking it over his knee.

The kids all scrambled to get out of the Pizzeria, and Amelia didn't blame them. She wanted to get out too. After all of the kidsot out, Vincent's features began changing. His skin turned the same purple as his hair, and his eyes became empty black sockets. "I tried telling so many people," Vincent sighed, "But you people never listen. I was innocent, and they punished me for someone else's crimes!" The empty black sockets narrowed into slits as he pinned Amelia against the wall, growling, "I know you read that article. I was innocent, but no one believed me!" Amelia shuttered, feeling r eyes start to roll. She was going unconscious. Vincent stepped away, allowing Amelia to fall to the floor next to Foxy. As Amelia went unconscious, she looked up at Vincent. That was the last thing she saw before blacking out.
