"Yes Stephen, I'll be in soon – I just need to go to one last shop..." I say, as I pull into the shopping centre car park. I switch off the car and undock my phone before getting out and grabbing my bag.
"Okay, I'll see you soon. Love you" Stephen says, as I make my way into the busy, crowded shopping centre.
"Love you too" I say with a smile, before hanging up the phone and putting it in my pocket. I quickly make my way through the shopping centre, heading straight for the one shop I'm looking for. Luckies. Luckies is a shop that sells relaxing, chillout and sporty type clothes that I fell in love with when I found out about its existence 4 years ago. Once I buy a new pair of running leggings and trainers I start to head back to my car. Of course, though for me, a normal day out without a work incident just doesn't happen.
"You've got to be kidding me..." I mutter, as I reach my floor and find an anomaly, only meters away from my car. I quickly unlock my car and throw everything in the boot before getting out my phone and dialling Stephen's number.
"Hey you. Everything alright...you on your way back?" Stephen says.
"Look Stephen...no time for talking. I'm at the main shopping centre and there's an anomaly. I don't know what's come through yet but I'm gunna hit then fire alarm and then get to the security office" I say, making my way out of the car park floor, locking the stairway door behind me.
"Stay safe" Stephen says, before the line goes dead. I race down the stairs and whack the fire alarm, before making my way to the security room. I grab my I.D out of my pocket that has my government status on before bursting through the door.
"I need to go through the footage. Is there anyone in the lifts? If there is get them out on any floor but 3. I work for the government and as of now, this building is going into lock down. Get your staff, and everyone out of here ASAP!" I shout, making them look at me before I give them a look that makes them get to work.

A few minutes later they leave, getting the building clear. Due to the amount of people in the centre it will take some time. Luckily there was no-one in the lift meaning I was able to cut it's power until our team arrived. I keep monitoring the CCTV screens until my phone rings next to me.
"How far out are you guys?" I ask, whilst continuing to scan the monitors, looking for anything that may have already come through the anomaly.
"5 minutes away. How's it looking?" Matt asks, obviously swerving through traffic.
"I don't think- shit! I need to go." I say, leaping up from my chair, running out of the office, still grasping the phone to my ear.
"What's happening Kat?" Stephen asks, obviously I'm on speaker.
"There's a teenager in here still..." I say, running up a flight of stairs until I reach the 5th floor where I saw the girl.
"Be careful" Matt says.
"I'll stay on the line" I say, running until I come face to face with the girl.
"Hey...listen to me. We need to go, now!" I say, grabbing her arm and leading her out of the building.
"What's going on?" She shouts, as we reach the 2nd floor.
"I'll explain but we need- "I start only to be cut off by a Titanoboa slithering towards us.
"Don't move" I whisper, pinning the girl up against a shop window. The Titanoboa slithered right up to us before carrying on down the corridor. When it got further enough away, I turned to the girl.
"Run! Now!" I whisper shouted, before grabbing her hand and running in the opposite direction. When we get to the main entrance, I sigh with relief as I see 3 black trucks squeal to a halt. I walk outside with the girl who is taken away by Newt for a medical to check for any injuries and for shock.
"Kat! Are you okay?" Stephen says, pulling me into his arms.
"I'm fine Stephen..." I say, giving him a smile before turning around to address the team.
"It's a Titanoboa...really big. We'll need the big guns" Kat says, grabbing one of the large EMD's from the truck.
"Okay...load up. We need to coax it back through the anomaly...shot only as a last resort" Matt says, splitting us into pairs before we walk back into the building.

"You okay?" I ask, smirking at Stephen, knowing his phobia of snakes.
"I HATE snakes..." He growls, as we search yet another shop.
"I know..." I say, trying my best not to laugh. I mean, don't get me wrong I'm no fan of snakes either but I'm not as bad as Stephen.
"We got it...need assistance on the 2nd floor, south side...we need to create a barricade to the anomaly on the east side" Becker says.
"Copy that" I say, before legging it up the stairs, Stephen hot on my heels.

"Woah, hello..." I say, as we reach the 2nd floor and come face to face with the Titanoboa.
"I've got an idea..." Stephen says, handing me his gun.
"Ahh...be careful" I say, knowing what he's about to do. He whistles to get the Titanoboa's attention before legging in towards the anomaly.
"Everyone, get out of the way! Unlock the anomaly, Stephens running" I say, before running after them. I arrive in the room in time to see Stephen dive out of the way, right as the Titanoboa, goes back through the anomaly. Connor locks the anomaly as Matt helps Stephen up.
"You good?" I ask, checking on Stephen.
"Yeah..." He pants back.
"Come on..." Matt says, as the backup team arrive to deal with the anomaly.
"You two can go home" Matt says, gesturing to me and Stephen as we make our way to the car.
"Thanks...see you tomorrow" I say, handing my gun to Connor as Becker takes Stephen's. I take Stephen's hand in mine as we make our way to my car.
"How about we pick up fish and chips on the way home and then snuggle up in bed and watch Scorpion?" I ask, as we reach the car.
"Deal" Stephen says smiling before we climb into the car. I rev the engine a few times before speeding out of the car park. We wave to the others before making our way home.
"It's never a normal day with us is it?" Stephen asks, as we turn the corner.
"Nope" I laugh, and he places his hand on top of mine.
