I wake up to the annoying buzzing of my alarm. I groan whilst reaching to switch it off. See Im not really a morning person, well not untill Ive had a shower and a strong coffee. Its 06:30am and I have to be at work for 07:00. I groan again whilst pulling myself up out of bed and thumping my way to my bathroom. I hop in the shower and let the warm water wake me up. After washing my hair I hop out and head to my closet.

I pick out my black jeans, grey top, black combat boots and my black leather jacket. I get dressed, before drying my hair. I french braid my hair and head to the kitchen for some breakfast and coffee. After having some breakfast and coffee, I pack everything that I need for work and place them in my black and gold adidas bag. I put on my leather jacket and bag and walk out the door. I open up my garage and walk towards my baby.

See many people dont know this about me but I have two very different sides. I love being non girly but then I also have a really girly side. I pick up my motorcycle helmet and put it on. I the start my bike and listen to the roar of the engine. I get on and drive off to work. I pull up at the ARC 10 minutes later, right on time. I park my bike in the underground carpark before walking inside. I swipe through security and head for my office. Once I get there I buzz myself in and place all my things in my 'locker', I then proceed towards the control room.

I walk into the control room to see Becker, Jess and Matt.
"Morning guys!" I say whilst jumping up into the free table to sit down. (Matt, jess, Becker, me)
"Morning Kat" See everyone calls me Kat as jts shorter than Katherine. Blarimg lights and that all too familiar alarm rings out through the building, as a new anomaly is detected. We are quickly joined by Emily, Connor and Abby.
"Anomaly is in an office building 10 minutes away, loading the address into the car GPS' now." Jess says whilst typing away on her computer. We all grab our black boxes and coms before rushing to the cars. I ride with Becker and his team whilst Matt, Emily, Connor and Abby drive in the other car.

We arrive at the building 10 minutes later. We all grab our EMDs from the back befor meeting up. We all look to Matt for orders.
"Right I want Becker and his men to secure the area and any exits whilst we do a sweep of the building to find the anomaly and see if anythings comes through, everyone be careful." We all nodd before splitting up. Me, Matt, Emily, Connor and Abby head inside. There are 5 floors so we dicide to split in to teams, Abby and Connor do floors 1&2, Matt and Emily do floors 3&4 and I decide that I can do floor 5 by myself. Matt doesnt like the idea much but Becker said once the exits are covered he'll come and join me. We split up and I take the lift up to 5. Luckily the lifts are are at the end of each floor, making it easier to sweep through safely.

I get about half way through when I find the anomaly, luckily its Saturday so nobody's in the offic block.
"Guys I found the anomaly, its on floor 5 about half way in" I say into my coms, holding my EMD towards the open anomaly.
"I'll bring up a locking mechanism , stay there Kat, everyone else keep sweeping", Becker said whilst running up the stairs. I continued to stare at the anaomly, EMD drawn.
"Kat where are you??" I hear Becker call from down the hall. I step out of the office Im in and shout,
"Over here!" I few seconds later Becker appears. He kneels on the ground in front of the anomaly and sets up the locking. mechanisms. He switches it on and the anomaly locks.
"Anomaly is locked guys, this floor is clear have you found anything?" I speak into my coms.
"All floors are clear except 4, we've got 1 very angry family of raptors. 1 baby, the other 2 adults. We've stunned them but could do with some helping getting them back to the anomaly." Matt thick Irish accent replies through the coms.
"Copy that we're on our way" Becker says, picking up his EMD. We share a nod before running of towards the stairs. We join the others and help them drag the raptors into the lifts. Once on the 5th floor we drag the raptors one by one into the office where the anomaly is. We unlock the anomaly and push them back through before re-locking the annomaly.

We stick around for another hour or so before the anomaly closes and until we can leave. We pack up our gear and get into the cars. We drive back to the ARC and head inside. The soldiers sort out all the gear. Its late in the afternoon when we arrive back and we can go home. I decide to go to the gym, so before heading home to get changed, I stop by Beckers office and see if he wants to join me.
"Hey Becker, wanna come to the gym with me?" I ask him whilst sitting down on his desk. He puts his pen down and looks up at me whilst crossing his arms.
"Is this your way of saying 'Becker can you come with me so I can get a free lift'?" He says laughing slightly.
"Maybe" I say whilst trying to hide my laughter.
"Fine...Ill be at yours in half hour, go home and get changed" He says, longing out the fine. I jump up from his desk and head towards the carpark. I grab my things from my locker on the way.

Once I get to my motorbike, I put on my helemet and head for home. Once home I have a quick bite to eat, before grabbing a quick shower. Once finished in the bathroom I go to my closet and pull out one of my gym outfits.

I get dressed and put my hair into a messy bun. I head to the kitchen and see I have about 10 minutes before Becker is due, so I decide to make a energy smoothy to take with me. Once Ive finished that, I grab my phone +charger, my headphones, keys and drink and place them into my bag. I grab 2 large bottles of water from the fridge and put them into my bag before heading outside to meet Becker who is sat waiting in his car.

An hour and a half later...
Becker drops me back home after an intense gym session. I have a quick shower and change into my pjs. I plug my phone on charge and place it next to my bed, before flopping down onto my bed. I quickly and peacefully fall into a deep sleep, thinking about what might happen tommorow.
