The First session

Darkness.Everywhere.Surrounding him. Calm.Peace.

'Oh Sansy... Do you really think you're in peace right now? Do you even deserve it? I don't think so~...'

There were sitting back to back, and even if he hadn't feel the pressure behind him, he knew they were here.

'Please...Let me have this moment for myself....That's all I ask...'

'And you think you deseve good things? Oh Sansy Sansy~ You're so naive...And more stupid that I thought... Or than everyone thought, to be precise...'

'He covered his skull with his hands, wanting to block them, to make them stop, but he couldn't.'

'What was I saying about you being stupid, hm~? You know you can't stop me from telling the truth...But fine~If you want to run away from me, I don't mind! It will be even more interesting! But meanwhile, you should wake up~ Something important will happen today after all~!'

Sans blinked his eyes, before sighing, cover his eyesockets with his arm. Of course, they wouldn't let him alone while he dreams, that sounded too good to be true. He sighed, rubbing his eyesockets. The circle beneath them were darker than before, due to his poor sleep schedules. He considered staying in bed a little more, but he turned to his nightstand, and saw his alarm clock. '11h28' was written in big grey numbers. 'Shoot... It's today my first session with Red...And I overslept...' He sighed, dejectedly, before actually getting up. He went to the bathroom to get himslef ready, and a dozen of minutes later, he emerged , then got down.

On the kitchen table was a plate of fried bacon and eggs, with a mug of steaming hot cocoa, with a glass of orange juice. 'Paps...' But his brother wasn't here anymore, probably already gone to his lectures. Sans sat there, taking his breakfast slowly. 'Yeah, take your time. After all, you're already late, less or more, it doesn't matter, right?' Sans sighed, then just look in the vague for a few minutes, before finally getting up. Red and him aggreed that for now, the sessions would take place somewhere where Red would feel comfortable and safe. Thus, Red gave Sans his address, saying that this was the only place where he did feel safe. Once >Sans made sure he had everything with him, he concentrated his magic around him, thinking hard about Red's appartment entrance, and the following moment, he disappeared in flash of nlue and yellow.

.....................

Maybe he thought Too Much about Red's door, for the moment he arrived, the first thing he met was said door. With his head almost printed in it. He hissed as he held his skull, feeling dizzy. He felt like he ran head first in it. The second after, someone unlocked the door and it opened very slowly. When Sans looked up with one eyesocket closed and a hand still on his skull, he was met with Red, a questionning look on his face. He chuckled mockingly, before looking back at him, smugly. "Seems I have ta teach ya one or two things. See that roundy thing there?" He was pointing at the doorknob. "It's called a Doorknob." He said very slowly, emphasing each letter. "And ya use it ta open the door! ANd usually, when ya knock on the door, ya use your hand, not your head. Did ya got everything or do ya want me ta write everything down?" He smirked down at Sans, who was blushing hard from embarassment. "It's not like I did it on purpose, you know..." Red snorted, before letting Sans in. Sans was about to, before smirking, deciding to do something that he would probably regret doing later. He approached the door, before knocking his skull twice on it. Red watched, mouth agape at that. "The hell?" "Hehehe...You're supposed to say 'Who's there?'." Red stared at him for a moment, making Sans feel awkward, then Red laughed at it. "PffffftttttHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Ya serious? Ya went as far as banging your hand on the door just for a joke's sake? I can't believe it!!" This made Sans smile a little. Maybe he could do something right, for once, he thought as he  got inside, ushered by a still laughing Red before he closed the door.

"So, you realized a few days ago that something was wrong?" "Yeah. Before, when I still was in my Underground, I put it on the fact that...that life was hard.Like really hard. So I thought that everything was normal.Right up until we came up here. But I never tried ta solve the problem, because I didn't really care." "Then, what made you change your mind?" ".......I.....I had a fight....With.... Edge came back home, and he told me had a fight with someone. I was in a real bad mood that day, feeling on edge and the most unimportant things that wasn't done right would piss me off. I screamed at him....and...and I...I slapped him....badly..." Red stopped, the remnant guilt surfacing, before pushing it away. He was shifting uncomfortably on his place on the couch. Sans was sitting next to him, jottling down some notes from time to time. "It...It was the first time I hit my brother...Before, we just were rough ta each other, but we never harmed the other one, ya know? So when it happened.... I decided ta do something about it..." "That's really brave of you, to have taken this decision." Red looked at Sans, a frown on his face. "...Are ya mocking me or something?" He asked, an edge of humor in his voice. Sans shook his head, readjusting his glasses. "No, I am sincere. I saw a lot of people in my office, and some of them were pushed by others to take care of this. Of course, for most of them, it was a minor trouble, but for others, it was something more serious." "Like people who are going through a depression, right? I heard that some people wouldn't ask for help for themselves, maybe not seeing what was happening to them, or for other reasons. Ya know what I mean?" "You said that life Underground had been harsh. Could you give me more details?" Red frowned, seeing as Sans deflected his question with something that had no link with his own question. He sighed, before gazing at the ceiling.

"It was kill or be killed down there. Ya couldn't count on other people except family. And even sometimes, ya could only rely on yerslef, as family could betray ya. But that's a stupid thing ta do. Survival is a little more sure when ya're not alone." Sans nodded, still writing. "Do you know , or should I say remember when this behaviour began to be really apparent?" Red thought for a while, before shaking his head. "I don't know at all. Could have begin when I was a kid, or a teen, or a little before I got out of the Underground, I don't know trully." "I see... Was there other people you could rely on, back in Underground? People who could have notice your changes of behaviour?" "....." Red sweated nervously, not yet ready to talk about it. Sans noticed is uneasiness, so he didn't pry it. "Tell me, what do you expect of those sessions, and even more, what do you expect to be done to help you?" "Well...I suppose I will have ta take pills or something like that? And...I suppose talking with ya...may help both of us ta know where I stand, like running a regular mental check-up, right?" Sans nodded, a small smile on his face. "Yes, that's it.Unfortunately, I can't give you a prescription for pills to take, I will have to see that with your doctor, if you have one." There was silence from Red, who just look at his cate who was lounging on the couch. "Okay then, we will have to choose one, or at least to ask to a profesional." "Do ya have one in mind, by any chance? I mean, it's yer field, right?" "...I may have someone in mind, but I need to call them first. Anyway, I think we can stop now, it's not that bad for a first session. For the following ones, You will choose how much you want to talk about, ok? Of course, if it's too short, I won't accept it."

"Got it...Say, now that this is over, maybe you could answer some of my questions?" Sans made eye contact with the other, suddenly feeling uneased. "What is it?" "Since when are ya going through depression?" Sans flinched at that, his shoulders going tense. "............" "So?" ".....How do you know?" "I mean, it's not hard to notice it..." Sans eyelights grew heavy, and for a moment, he looked heartbroken. 'Shit, that wasn't the smartest move ta do...' "That's not what....erm.... I-" "It has been a while now." "Huh?" He hadn't expect Sans answering him frankly. He thought the other would avoid it, deflect it with another question, but no. "I can't give you a precise answer, but it had been for some times, now. Happy?" There was silence from both of them, before Sans turned to the door. "Well, if that's all..." "Wait!" Red had grabbed his wrist, making Sans turn back to him. Edge's words were dancing in his skull. 'YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE YOURSLEF CORRECTLY, SO HANDLING A DEPRESSED MONSTER? YOU WILL CREATE MORE HARM THAN ANYTHING ELSE.' Red closed his eyesockets. 'Forgive me, bro...' He opened his sockets, looking at Sans with determination. "I fya need help, or just someone ta talk ta, ta vent ta, I'm here."

Sans looked paralyzed for a moment, before he snatched his wrist, putting it close to his chest. "You don't know what you're talking about..." "We can have each other's back. Ya just need ta let me." Sans looked at him, a concerned expression on his face, before he opened the door, slowly walking out. "Goddbye, Red. See you next time." "Sure thing, doc!" Then Sans closed the door after him, the sound of teleportation echoing outside.Red smiled, as he sat on the couch, petting his cat. 'Well, he didn't say no...'

Beeeeeeep..Beeeeep....Beee- *clic*

"Hello?" "Hello? Who is on the phone?" "My name is Sans Serif. Are you doctor Natia?" "Doctor Natia Friskful, this is me indeed. I am sorry to ask you this, but how did you get this number? It is not one you can find in any telephone book." "Ah sorry, I should have precised it. I am a therapist, and I found your name in the article you wrote about bipolar disorder." "Ah, that makes more sense. What can I do for you?" "Well, I would like to talk to you about a...'patient' with you. He has a bipolar disorder." "...I'm listening."

So if I am not accurate or if I hurt someone, then I appologize deeply, and I invit you to tell me so in the comments, but please remain polite, that's all I ask.

Well, that's pretty much everything for now! I wish you a lovely dar, evening or night! And remeber that you all are amazing!! See you later all!!
