"Alright, if you will, Guy sensei!" The turtle shouted.

A man that looked exactly like Lee showed up, I gasped. And backed away in horror.

Kanji's view

"Yo! Lee!" A man who looked EXACTLY like Lee exclaimed with a thumbs up.

My eyes widened to the size of saucers, what was I looking at? I can handle Lee but another Lee is a little to much for me! And why do they look exactly alike? Are they related or what? But, he does look familiar, I think I've seen this man before somewhere.. I shook my head pushing those thoughts to the back of my mind.

"To intense..." Sakura muttered with a shiver.

"Creepy..." I added solemnly.

"T-Those are some incredibly raging brows. I've never seen anything like that on my life..." Naruto mumbled out.

I nodded, totally agreeing with Naruto and Sakura. I don't think I'll ever see anything like this again. Well, I hope I don't at least.

"H-Hey! You guys! Don't mock Guy Sensei!" Lee shouted with an anger mark.

"Shut up! I'm at loss for a reaction because of those creepy things appearing one after another!" Naruto shouted.

"It's not that..creepy, right?" I asked Sakura. Sakura made a face and got closer to Naruto. I anime fell. So she agreed with him and not with me..

"Hey!!" Lee shouted.

"hey, Lee. Drop it!" Guy sensei said from on top of the talking turtle.

Lee froze then nodded, turning around to face his sensei. "Yes, sir."

Guy sensei put his hand on his face, glowering down at Lee. Then...then.. He punched Lee across the face, really hard.. "Baka!"

My mouth fell open and hit the ground. The others had the same reaction, that shouted 'Why did he do that!!'. Lee flew across the from and landed close to us, Guy sensei walked up to Lee's sprawled out body and knelt down. Lee went on his hands and knees, looking up at his sensei.

"Lee, you..you.." Guy muttered with tears pouring out his eyes. A sunset appeared in the background, their tears sparkling when the light hit them.

What.

"S-Sensei!" Lee exclaimed with tears also.

The.

"L-Lee.."

Hell.

"Sensei..I..I.."

"Enough, Lee! Don't say anything!"

Going.

"Sensei!" Lee shouted and ran to guy sensei, hugging him.

On?!?!??

"Lee!"

I face palmed, I can't believe Sasuke and I lost to...Lee? I should have never under estimated this kid.

"Yes.. This is youth!" Guy sensei shouted.

"sensei!!!" Lee shouted still holding onto to guy sensei.

While on the other hand, Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto and I were frozen shock. Staring at the two lunatics, have their lovey-dovey time.

"That sort of tones kind of nice, too." Naruto said, breaking the awkward silence.

"I-Idiot!! That's dangerous! Very dangerous!" Sakura shouted nervously.

I took in what Naruto said, I guess the whole tone or mood they have was nice. I mean having a nice, relaxing sun shine in the background while you and your friend get emotional, hugging each other, showing love, seems nice to me.

"Actually, I have to agree with Naruto. That tone is making their mood relaxed and happy. I'd like that." I said being completely honest.

"N-No! Not you to Kanji! S-Sasuke do something!" Sakura whined.

I held my head in pain.

"Itai!!"

Rubbing the sore part of my head where Sasuke bonked me, I flinched in pain. I glared at Sasuke, he gave me a smirk return. I blushed and looked away in anger, stupid Sasuke making me blush so damn easily.

Guy put his hand on Lee's shoulder, "it's okay, Lee!" Guy said, "mistakes come with adolescence. Don't worry about it!"

"You're so kind, sensei!" Lee sobbed.

Guy smiled and pointed to the right, with tears streaming down his face dramatically. Now them, take a hundred laps around the training field toward the setting sun!" Guy ordered.

"Yes, sensei!" Lee shouted.

I groaned as the two of them stared off into the sunset, together. I think I change my mind about the sunset thing being nice seeing what's it's done to these two.

"Hey, wait a minute!" Naruto shouted, "we're still in the middle of the conversation!"

"What're you going to do about the Chunin Exam!?" Sakura exclaimed, there's no time!"

Guy stopped in his steps, "huh? Oh, your right." Guy said sheepishly, turning to Lee. "Lee, you will be punished for attempting to break the prohibition on top of fighting in principle, after the Chunin Exam. Five hundred howls of youth!!" Guy struck a girly pose.

"Idiots..." Sakura mumbled.

"Hey, hey!" Naruto said gain our attention, " by the way, what's with that turtle?" He asked clueless.

I looked over at Sakura, waiting for her to answer him. She stayed silent and gave me a pleading look, and Sasuke didn't bother answering being the emo/quiet one in the group. I sighed, knowing that I had to answer.

"I'm guessing the turtle is Guy sensei's summoning animal, ya know?" I explained simply and easily.

"Oh okay, I understand... I think.." Naruto said.

I face palmed, "really Naruto-kun, really?" I muttered under my breath.

I care about Naruto, a lot, but sometimes I wonder why... Oh wait I know, he so Kawaii! I'm kidding but that's also a reason, but what he really needs is someone to be there for him, and that person is going to be me.

"Oh no! He's looking over here!" Sakura shrieked, embracing herself.

I jumped and held the spot over my heart. I gave Sakura a small glare.

"You guys, how's Kakashi sensei?" Guy asked.

My body went tense at his name, I looked down at the ground. It seemed like the most interesting thing at the moment. I felt everyone's stares on me, especially Guy's curious gaze. Ever since the day I acted childishly/stupidly with Otōsan, I've regretted it so much. I called him Kakashi, not Otōsan. It hurt him a lot, I don't know if he'll ever forgive me.. But I'll try my best to get him to forgive me. I need to apologize to Sasuke also, even if he hurt me. I clenched my fist and bit my lip drawing blood. Just forget about it Kanji, move on for now, just move on. I took a deep breath and looked straight into Guy's eyes.

"You know Kakashi?" Sasuke asked.

Guy smiled. "I know him all to well." Guy said. "People call us, eternal rivals."

"Sounds like a lie!" Sakura and Naruto shouted in unison.

"What're you saying, guy sensei really is-!" Lee started.

"That's fine." Guy brushed off. " action speaks louder than words, anyway."

I sensed chakra behind us, spinning around I glared at the spot where guy sensei will appear. 3. 2. 1.

"By the way, my record is fifty wins and forty-nine losses." Guy stated.

The others finally noticed a few seconds later and spun around, shocked.

"One thing, I'm stronger than Kakashi." Guy bragged.

I scoffed, "I doubt that." I said out loud.

Guy examined me, "Oh, I see.." He mumbled under his breath.

"Guy sensei is awesome, isn't he?!" Lee shouted.

I looked at Lee over my shoulder, giving him a bored look. "Let's see..." I said, "Oh I got it! How about.. No, he's not." I deadpanned.

Lee anime fell. I smirked and focused my attention to Guy.

"I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU AROUND, SO YOU MUST BE A NEW YOUTHFUL KID! I WILL TEACH YOU TO BE FULL OF YOUTH MY YOUTHLING! SOON YES VERY SOON YOU WILL BE WEARING A JUMP SUIT LIKE MINE, AND YOU? WILL BE YOUTHFUL." The creep yelled.

I examined Guy once more, when it hit me. "I remember you!!" Both Guy and I yelled at the same time.

"Ohhhhh~ My youthful blossom, I've finally found you once more!! Come, leave your friends and join me to become youthful!" Guy cooed.

I growled at Guy before lunging at him, my hands wrapped around his neck and strangling him with all my strength.

"You...you..! Your that youthful creep that tackled me in my first day here!" I yelled still strangling Guy.

Guy had anime tears steaming down his face, he kept rambling about how youthful I was to take him on. It only angered me even more. Next thing I know I'm in his chest, getting the life squeezed out of me. With Guy going on about how much I've grown. Which is like and inch maybe? Arms wrap around me and yank me away from guys grasp.

"I think it's about time you left..." I'm guessing Sasuke snarled.

I moved my head into a comfortable position, seeing Guy cough and continue talking like nothing happened just now.

"This time around, Lee caused the trouble, please forgive him" Guy said. "You guys and Lee should probably leave and go to the classroom pretty soon."

"Don't worry we will," I said as I examined Guy warily.

Guy threw a kunai at the spinning wheel holding Lee's wrapping in place. Lee started to wrap the cloth back around his arm. That was when I noticed how damaged his hands were, they were covered in bruises from his training. Guy and the turtle proofed away after saying goodbye to Lee. Sasuke deciding it was safe, finally decided to let me down. I rubbed my arms that are now sore.

"I have one last thing to tell you. I actually came here to verify my own ability. I lied before. The strongest Genin may be in my team. I'm entering in order to defeat that person. And you two, "Lee said glancing at me and Sasuke. "Are also my targets. Please prepare yourself for the Exam!" Lee shouted then jumped away.

I frowned, I don't want to be a target. What did I even do to interest him?

"Ha! So, I guess the great Uchiha clans not all that, huh?" Naruto mocked.

I glared at Naruto. He shouldn't have said that, Sasuke's clan is...well gone. I hope Naruto knows that.

"Shut up!" Sasuke spat. "I'll knock him flat next time!"

"That from someone who just beaten." Naruto mused.

Sakura did her little routine at scolding Naruto.

Naruto ignored her and stared at the ground. "You saw it, didn't you? His hand... He's trained day after day. More than you have." Naruto explained.

Sasuke glared at the ground, clenching his fists angrily.

"It's starting to get interesting... The Chunin exam!" Sasuke smirked.

"Yeah!!" Naruto shouted.

"Let's go! Sakura, Naruto, Kanji!" Sasuke ordered and started walking with the rest of us following.

I tensed at who I saw ahead of us. Sadness and regret filling me to the brim. Kakashi.. He didn't even take a glance at me, instead he looked over at Sakura.

"I see. Sakura, you've come, too." Kakashi/Otōsan said. "Now you can formally register for the Chunin Exam."

What's he mean?

"What do you mean," Sakura said, speaking my mind.

He sighed. "Actually, from the start, only three-man squads could apply and take exams. Or in your case, a four-man squad." Kakashi/Otōsan explained.

I frowned slightly. I see, so Lord Hokage didn't allow me to take the exam by myself. I guess I am sticking with my team after all.

"But sensei, you said that it was our decision to take the exams." Sakura said.

"Yes, I said that." Kakashi/Otōsan confirmed.

"So you were lying." I stated. "Were you lying?" Sakura asked.

"Yes I was..." Kakashi/Otōsan sighed, "if I said that, Sasuke and Naruto would probably forcefully convince you to take it. Even if you didn't have the will to apply, if Sasuke asks you would attempt to take the exams half-heartedly. For Sasuke's sake, Naruto's, and, well, Kanji's." Kakashi explained.

He's right, Sakura would have done that if that was the case. She would've done it for us, but mostly Sasuke. But the Sakura I know is stronger than stooping so low to please another person for their sake. She's come so far already, and she isn't going to back down now. I know it.

"So, if it had been only Sasuke, Naruto and Kanji who had come here." Sakura started.

"I would've stopped the exam here. I wouldn't have felt like letting them go beyond this point." Kakashi/Otōsan said, "but, you guys came here on your own will." He smiled.

"Sakura!" Sakura smiled with a small blush.

"Naruto!" Naruto grinned.

"Sasuke!" Sasuke smirked.

"And, Kanji!" I gave a fake smile and looked towards the ground.

"I'm glad you came. You're a team I'm proud of." Kakashi/Otōsan stated proudly, moving aside for us to go though the door. "Now then, go on!"

Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke all went up to the door, ready to push it open any moment. I walked behind then a few steps, smiling sadly. A hand grabbed my wrist, I gave Kakashi/Otōsan a questioning look.

"Good luck out there, Kanji." Kakashi/Otōsan whispered.

I smiled a true smile, "thank, Kaka-" "Otōsan, it's Otōsan." He corrected.

My eyes brighten and I smile widely. He..still considers me his daughter even if I was rude to him last time? I throw myself at him, hugging him tightly. "Yeah, thanks Otōsan." I whisper happily.

I couldn't hold a grudge against him, or anyone at that.

"Come on Kanji, we don't have much time!" Sakura scolded.

I pout, "yeah, yeah, I'll be right there, ya know!" I shout back.

We push away from one another and smile at each other. I kiss his cheek, and let out a giggle before running to my team. We all put our hands on the door and push open. A blinding light shone upon us, I immediately covered my eyes with my arms. I brung my arms down once the light dimmed down. I gasped. There were so many people here from all the different villages. Tough, scrawny, tall and short looking ones. Most of them were giving us dirty looks or glares. I glared back, which only made them angrier, still I didn't back down. We can't let ourselves look weak, if we do that makes us their target.

"W-What's with..this?" Sakura asked.

"Their other applicants for the Chunin exam, duh." I said solemnly.

Sakura got an anger mark. "I know that, baka."

"Sasuke-kun your late~!" Someone squealed.

A blond had her arms wrapped around Sasuke's neck, he didn't bother removing them. I felt a pang in my heart, is this jealously...? I brushed off the feeling for now and glared at the blonde- wait, that's the damn blond who three me in the air last time! (No offense to blondes out there, I like blondes)

"I though I'd be able to see you for the first time in awhile, so I was waiting in excitement!" She said in a flirty tone.

I growled, ready to pounce on this girl. Sakura beat me to it, though she didn't attack like I would..

"Get away from Sasuke! Ino-pig!!" Sakura shrieked.

So her names Ino, but Sakura calls her Ino-pig.

"Oh, my. It's Sakura. Your billboard brow hasn't changed, eh. Ugly!" Ino teased.

"What did you say-!?" Sakura yelled, but I cut her off by putting my arm in front of her.

I stepped in front of Sakura, glaring at blonde.

"Hey, blondie. Shut your mouth! No one says anything about my friends, you got that?!" I snarled.

Ino scoffed, "why should I listen to you? Who are you anyways?" Ino spat.

"My names Kanji, remember it, ya know." I said with my arms crossed.

"W-what?!" Ino yelled, "your Kanji, the one with the twin?! But I thought you were a boy!" She yelled.

"Does it look like I'm a boy?" I sighed, "No, right. But yeah, I'm Kanji, though I'm actually a girl, not a boy."

"Eeek! Your a cross dresser!" She shouted in disgust.

I yawned, "yeah, yeah, call me why you want. Just don't mess with Sakura, Kay? Now shoo, fly, shoo." I said calmly.

She seethed in anger.

"Arigatō.." I heard Sakura whisper.

"It's no problem, that's what friends are for." I whisper back with a small smile.

"What's with this?" A boy with pineapple hair yawned.

I looked him up and down. He had this bored look on him, and he looked like he didn't want to be here. I don't recognize him, but he's cute. I checked the other kid too, he was chubby and eating a bag of potato chips. Don't know him either.

"Are you guys going to take this bothersome exam, too?" Pineapple head asked.

"Oh, it's the idiot trio." Naruto teased.

"Stop calling us that!" Pineapple ahead shouted. "Man, this is a freaking bother."

"Naruto. That was pretty mean.." I said out loud.

"Sasuke is mine, bleahh!" Ino teased, pulling down her eye lid and sticking her tongue out.

What's up with all the teasing? I sighed, gaining pineapple head and chubby's attention. Before they could ask who I was, three other people walked over. A boy with red marks in his face and a cute little puppy on his head. Another boy but he had his shirt or jacket covering his mouth. Then finally, a cute girl with blue hair and beautiful pale eyes, just like Neji's. She must be a Hyuga also.

"My, my, everybody's here." Dog boy mused.

The girl with the blue hair twiddled her fingers. "H-Hello.." She stuttered.

I smiled, giving her a wave. I received a blush in return. Kawaii!!!! I squealed in the inside. I am a girl, it's only time I acted like one. But on the inside, heh.

"What did you say? You guys, too? Man.." Pineapple head sighed.

I looked for my brother, he was supposed to be with dog boy and his team. Where was he? I frowned.

"this mean all eleven Genin rookies are taking the Exam, eh?" Dog boy said then faced Sasuke, "how far can we get? Eh, Sasuke?" He asked.

"Your mighty confident, Kiba." Sasuke said.

"We trained a great deal, so we won't lose to you guys." Kiba replied

They all started getting into a conversation and I simply stayed back and listened. Pineapple head took this chance to talk to me.

"I don't recognize you, who are you?" He asked suspiciously.

I smiled. "My names Kanji, from what I know you all think I'm a boy." I said.

"I never thought you were a boy, you had the wrong figure." He explained. "Anyways, I'm Shikamaru Nara."

I cocked my head to the side cutely, "nice to meet you Shikamaru. Your cute, by the way." I said.

He blushed, and mumbled 'how troublesome'. I spun to Mr.Chubby.

"Hello, what's your name?" I asked.

"Choji... Akimichi..." He munched.

I giggled, "nice to meet ya."

He nodded and continued to eat his chips. So, Shikamaru and Choji... They look like good friends to have. Feeling a tap on my shoulder, I tuned around. Naruto was grinning like crazy.

"Kanji, come here. Kiba wants to meet you, so do the others." Naruto said happily.

"Oh, okay" I mumbled.

Kiba came up to me with a cocky smirk, I frowned on the inside. Another Sasuke..

"Hey cutie, the names Kiba." He greeted.

I gagged, eww.

"Nice to meet you! my names Kanji." I fake smiled. "What about the cutie on top of your head?"

"Oh, that's Akamaru." He said.

My girly side popped up. I cooed and pet Akamaru. Next, Kiba leaned close to my face, his breath hitting my skin. "Your cute, we should get to know each other better." He smirked.

I grimaced, "Sure, why not." I replied, uncomfortable with..him..

I coughed and turned to the last two.

"Hi, my names Kanji, yours?" I asked.

"Shino Aburame," he replied.

I smiled. "Nice to meet you, Shino. I hope we can get to know each other better."

"H-hi, my n-names Hi-Hinata Hyuga." She stuttered.

I cooed at her. "Kanji, nice to meet ya Hinata!" I exclaimed.

Then I remembered, Sanji. "Oh, do you know where my brother is? You know, Sanji?" I asked nervously.

"Yeah, he should be here any secon-" Kiba was cut off.

"Someone say my name?"

I jumped. Letting out a gasp, I jumped at my brother and attacked him.

"Sanji!" I sobbed, "I missed you so much! Why didn't you ever look for me!"

"K-Kanji?! Oh, I missed you too sis! I'm sorry I never look for you, we've been busy with missions and training." He explained.

I smiled. "Apology accepted." I whispered. "But, I'll kill you next time you disappear, ya know." I threatened quietly, Sanji gulped and nodded his head. I giggled.

I jumped off him, brushing imaginary dirt off my clothes. I wiped a tear away before it fell. I can't believe how much I've missed him, it feels like it's been years, no, way more than that since we've last seen each other. Choji started walking towards Kiba, but Shino blocked his way. Shino looked down, I followed his gaze and saw a little bug.

"Don't step on it." Shino said. "I said don't step on it."

Choji just stared at Shino like he was crazy.

"You're..gonna eat that?" Choji asked.

I face palmed. Why would he want to eat a bug?

"Hey, you guys. You should be a little quieter. You guys are fresh out of the academy, right? Carrying on like that with cute faces.. Man. This isn't a field trip." Some guy with white hair and glasses stated.

I glared at him. I didn't get a good feeling from this guy, he had a very bad aura surrounding him. Still, I might as well give him a chance I guess..

"Who're you? Acting all haughty!" Ino snapped.

"I'm Kabuto Yakushi. Anyway take a good look around you." Kabuto said, as everyone looked around. I didn't move but continued staring at him. "Behind you, they're from the hidden rain village. They're hot-tempered. Everyone's tense before the exam. I thought I'd warn you guys before you get your butts kicked."

"I guess it can't be helped. You're rookies who don't know left from right." Kabuto sighed, "you remind me of my old self."

"You're Kabuto, right?" Sakura asked.

"Obviously.." I muttered.

Sakura got an anger mark but ignored me.

"Yes." He answered.

"Then, is this your second time?" She asked.

This peeked my interest. Could he have done this more than once? I wondered.

"No," Kabuto replied. "It's my seventh time."

My eyes widened. Seventh?! How difficult is this Exam?!

"This Exam is only held twice a year, so it's now my fourth year." Kabuto explained.

"Then that means you know a lot about these Exams?!" Sakura exclaimed.

"Kinda.." He said.

"No kidding. Kabuto, your pretty awesome, huh?" Naruto said in awe.

"Still. You haven't passed." Shikamaru said.

"Yeah, well, that is the case..yes." Kabuto rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

"Exactly. Even so, they probably change the Exam every time it's taken place. And like you said twice a year, right? Well saying that, the Exam is never the same, it's different. Having the same Exam with the same rules, isn't fair for the rookies who take it for the first time, it's in favor with the others who've been in it multiple of times, such as you. You may know tips and tricks but overall, it's impossible you know much about then Exam after all." I pointed out.

"Tch. How troublesome.." Shikamaru muttered. "But she's right."

Kabuto looked at me, checking me up and down with interest gleaming in his eyes. I scowled in my head. Pervert.

"Then, maybe I'll give a bit of information to you all." Kabuto said and pulled out a stack of cards, "with these ninja info cards."

I sighed, what are cards going to help with.

"To put in simply, they're cards that have information burned into them and coded with Chakra." Kabuto knelt down, placing the deck on the ground. "I spent four whole years gathering information for this Exam. There are close to two hundred of these cards." Kabuto said.

He flipped one over, it was pure white. Blank.

"They are pure white to the eye. To open the data on these cards.." Kabuto mused and spun one card around with his finger.

"What're you doing?"

"The way it works is that no one can see the info without using my chakra." He explained, "for example.. Like this." Kabuto said as a small cloud of smoke erupted from the card.

The card showed a small map of the five great nations, green columns were in the middle of each nation. I smirked, alright, now that's interesting.

"Whoa, awesome! What information is this?" Naruto asked.

"The number of test-takers and participating nations and the number of applicants from each respective village is individually displayed. Why do you think that the Chunin Exam is jointly conducted in the first place?" Kabuto said. No one answered. "It's said it's done to deepen friendship among nations first and to boost the shinobi levels, second."

"It's said.." Sasuke said.

"That's right. The real aim is in the checking of shinobi levels of neighboring nations and equalizing the balance of power." Kabuto stated, touching the card making it go back to it's origami form. Blank. I thought about it, if this exam it's testing our power... It's to help the weaker nations protect themselves form invasion.

"If that's not done, the weak nations will be invaded by the stronger nations-" I started.

"And may end up being controlled unilaterally." Kabuto finished, staring into my eyes.

I smiled, he smirked. Okay, he's not that bad.

"Of those cards, are there ones with detailed individual information?" Sasuke asked.

Three names came in my head, Lee, Gaara, Neji. I got closer to Kabuto, peering at the cards.

"Yes, there are. Are there ones you're concerned about?" Kabuto replied.

Sasuke nodded.

"the information for the applicants this time around isn't perfect, but is burned in and saved. You guys included." He said, I narrowed my eyes at that. Fear... Does that mean he knows about my...past?

"Tell me their information and I'll retrieve it for you." Kabuto said.

"Gaara of the hidden sand village and Rock Lee of the hidden leaf village." Sasuke said.

"And Neji Hyuga, if you don't kind." I added.

Kabuto glanced at both of us. "Oh, you even know their names. That makes it quick."

He pulled out two cards, "here they are."

"Show me." Sasuke demanded.

Kabuto looked at me, I nodded. "well then, first Rock Lee. He's one year older than you guys. His mission experience 20 D-ranks, 11 C-ranks. Team leader, Guy. He specializes in Taijutsu, but his other skills are no good at all. It's his forts time taking the exam, same as you guys. Tenten and Neji Hyuga are on his team." He explained.

That's why Sasuke's Sharingan didn't work against Lee, Lee can't do any ninjutsu or Genjustu..

"Next, Gaara of the desert." Kabuto said, "8 C-ranks, B-ranks... Wow, one B-rank as a Genin. There's no other information about him.. But it seems like he has returned from all his missions uninjured."

"B-ranked as a genin.. But uninjured.." Shikamaru said.

"What is this guy?" Naruto asked.

It's impossible. How has he come from all his missions with no injuries, it's impossible...

"-it's a village of a small nation that sprang up in recent years, so there isn't much information. With all that, they're all hidden villages with nothing but rookies." Kabuto said.

"that kinda males you lose your confidence.." Hinata murmured.

"Why are you saying that now?!" Blonde yelled.

"In other words, all of the applicants who have gathered here.." Sakura mused.

"Not just Lee and Gaara, but they're all top elite Genin from each nation." Kabuto said.

"Well it was never meant to be easy.." I muttered. "May I see Neji's info card?" I asked.

"Ah, yes, sorry." Kabuto apologized, "here it is."

I knelt down and grabbed the card. He has the same number of missions as Lee of course, and he specializes in Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. A worthy opponent. I smirked.

Handing the card card back with a smile, I thanked him. "Arigatō Kabuto."

"Not a problem." Kabuto replied.

"Oahhhhh! My names Naruto Uzamaki! I won't lose to any of you! Got it?!" Naruto screamed.

I face palmed. One word, baka. But, I just couldn't help letting a smile get past.

"I won't lose to any of you guys, you say?" Kiba scoffed.

"In no time at all, he's made enemies of his surroundings." Shikamaru sighed.

I walked over to him.

I elbowed his rib, "Maa, come on Shikamaru. That's the way he keeps his determination up. Can't break his fragile heart now, can we?" I teased.

Shikamaru blushed, "whatever you say, troublesome woman."

I chuckled madly. Eh-! I spun around to see some ninja coming at Kabuto, I gasped. Sound ninja! I made a run for Kabuto and pushed him to the side. Two kunai flew in front of me, I jumped back and dodged another one of the sound ninjas. A fist came at me, I moved to the side barely dodging his fist. My vision faltered, everything started to get blurry. My eyes widened and I fell to my knees. W-what is happening?! I dodged his attack! I puked. I coughed out the nasty taste, I cleaned my mouth with my bandages on my arms. I glared up at the sound ninja- sound ninja... That's it! The two kunai thrown were a distraction to get me to jump back, and the punch, he released a frequency that would blow my ear drums.

"Kanji!"

Sakura, Kabuto, Naruto and Sanji ran up to me.

"Are you okay?" Sanji asked, his voice laced with worry.

"Y-yeah.. I'm fine. Don't worry.." I coughed out, my vision still blurry from the previous attack. "is Kabuto fine?" I asked.

"Yeah, his glasses are broken though." Sakura answered.

I stood up shakily, Naruto and Sanji helped me. I thanked them and looked at Kabuto.

"Sorry I broke your glasses." I apologized sheepishly.

"It's fine, I have another pair. But, thank you, for taking the blow."Kabuto said.

"It's no problem." I muttered.

"Write this on your card. The three from the sound village, doubtless Chunin." One of the sound village spat.

I glared evilly at him.

"Silence! Degenerates!" A man with scars covering his face barked. "Sorry to keep you waiting. I'm Ibiki Morino, proctor for the first test of the Chunin exam."

Ibiki pointed our way. "You, from the hidden sound village! No causing trouble before the exam! You want to be failed right here?!" Ibiki yelled.

Sorry. It's our first time taking the exams, we couldn't help ourselves." The sound ninja with the hunchback said.

"Hm. This is a good opportunity so I'll say this. There will be no battles, competitions and the like without permission from the proctors. And even if you hey permission, actions that could lead to the death of an opponent will not be permitted. Any pig that screws with me will be disqualified immediately. Got it?!" Ibiki barked.

"Heh, this exam looks to be easy!" A sound ninja boasted.

"Now then, we will start the first test of the Chunin Exam! Turn in your applications take on if these number cards in exchange, and seat in the seat matching that number! After that, we will hand out the paper for the written test!" Ibiki ordered.

I went in line with the help of Sanji, we both got our numbers. I had 69 while he got 83. I sighed as we parted our ways. I sat in my seat closest to the window, to the right was a boy from the cloud village and he looked scared. I looked for the my team, Naruto was ahead of me to the right next to Hinata. Sakura was behind him and Sasuke farther in the back.

Sighing I glanced at my proctor. Kotetsu?! I stared at him shocked but mist of all, dumbfounded. I didn't know he was a proctor! Does that mean Izumo is here to? I shook my head, no Kanji, think about the test for now, that's all. I took one last peek at Kotetsu and stuck my tongue out. He sweat dropped, I laughed under my breath and faced forward.

"There are several important rules to the first test, I will take no questions so listen well!" I groaned, rules? "First off, rule one. You are given ten pints each from the start. The written test has ten problems total.each problem is one point. And, this test is a point deduction system. You are deducted one point for each problem you get wrong. If you have three wrong, you'll have seven points. Second rule. Pass or failure will be determined by the points total of the three-person or four-person team."

Oh, no! Were going to fail! I banged my head on the desk making the pain from earlier come back, I groaned.

"W-Wait a minute! What do you mean, total points of the teams?" Sakura shouted.

"Shut up!" Ibiki ordered, there's a perfectly good reason for this! Shut up and listen. If you've got it, here is the most important rule! Those who are deemed by the proctors as having committed an act of cheating or something similar to that.." I glanced at Kotetsu who had a smirk plastered on his face.

"-will have two points deducted for each act. In other words, there may be those who will be dismissed during this test without waiting for test grading."

I bit my lip, we can't get caught cheating nor answer so many questions incorrectly. What kind of test is this..

"Know that those who commit awkward cheating will bring ruin upon themselves." Ibiki said.

"I'll check you anytime." Kotetsu smirked.

I gulped.

"If you aspire to become Chunin at all, know that shinobi should act like exemplary shinobi. And, in the case of even one person on the team getting a zero. Everyone on that team will fail!"

"What?!" I shouted along with Sakura.

I glared at Naruto. He better not fail this for us.

"The last problem will be given 45 minutes after the start of the test. The time for the test is one hour. Begin!"

I scanned the test. All of these questions are to advanced for Genin! The first question is a coded text, next one is a diagram, there nothing but very difficult advanced questions! Not even I understand a single one! I sulked in my seat. Why would they give us such questions- Wait. He said if we get caught cheating we'll lose points, he never said we couldn't try. Ah! That's it! Were supposed to cheat! They are examining our skill to steal information while concealing ourselves, but if you can't do that properly what are you needed for! So there has to be someone in this room who knows the answers! I grinned, I figured it out. Now, how do I cheat without getting caught? Think, think, think!

Got it. I'll use that jutsu Sanji always used to give me answers at school. I put my hands under the table. Ox, boar, tiger, ram...

'Fire style: flame hypnosis!' (Dumb name, I know ;-;) what this Jutsu does, it allows you to enter your targets mind and control their body. You see through their eyes, and so what you need to do. The whole flame part keeps them warm so their nerves are calm and they can't break out. Good part about it, they don't notice a thing. Pretty handy Jutsu Sanji made. I looked at the man in front of me, and used it on him. I blinked. I was in. I looked at his paper, he had all the answered filled out! No way....jackpot! I memorized the answers, releasing the Jutsu I wrote all the answers down. I smirked. Yes done with a good

amount of time to spare before the last question.

"w-what was that for, sir!?" Some guy yelled.

You've made five mistakes, you fail!" Kotetsu said. "His two teammates, both of you get out of the classroom, right now." They all walked out.

"#23 fails!" "#45 and #27 fail!"

I gulped nervously, I'm so happy I didn't get caught. I glanced around. Sakura was zooming through her test, but glancing at Naruto every now and then. Sasuke was writing answers down fats. I sighed in relief. We finished but I have no idea about Naruto, hopefully Hinata will help him.

"#59, #33 and #5 fail!" "#41, #35, #62 fails!"

That's the thirteenth team that's failed. And it's done to a handful amount of team.. The cloud ninja next to me had no answers at all, he was sweating nervously and biting his lip. I frowned, maybe I should help him.

'Fire style: flame hypnosis!'

I quickly wrote the answers on his sheet, on the corner I wrote, 'nervous, much? ;) ~#69' with that I left his body. A piece of paper hit my face, my eye twitched but I picked it up and opened it. 'Yeah. Thanks, #69 ~#70' I giggled. Ripping a piece of my paper, I wrote 'no problem, and my names Kanji. Nice to meet ya!' I threw it him accidentally hitting his eye, oops. I opened another note, 'Nice name. Names Raiden, nice meeting you too'. 'thanks, cool name by the way. Well talk to you later, last question is up.' I wrote.

"All right! Here is the tenth question!" Ibiki announced.

Last one, and were done.

"But, I'm going to add some rules for the last question. Aren't you lucky. It looks like playing with dolls wasn't a waste, after all?" He said to Kankuro. "Anyway, sit sown. Let me explain... First, you guys have to choose whether or not you will take this tenth question."

Choose?

"What, choose?! What happens if you choose not to take the tenth question?" Temari shouted.

"If you choose not to take the question, the. Your score will be zero. In other words, you fail! And of course, the same goes for the two others in your team. And one more rule, if you choose to take it and are unable to answer it correctly.. Then you will have to, remove your right of taking the Chunin exam forever!" He shouted.

"What kind of ridiculous rule is that?! Besides, there are plants of people here who have taken the Chunin exam many times!" Kinda shouted.

Ibiki chuckled, "you're just unlucky. I make the rules this year. But I did give you an option to go back. For those of you who aren't confident, you can choose not to take it and take the exam next year or the next year after that. Then let's begin. Those of you who will not be taking it, raise your hands. Once I confirm your number, you may leave."

Tsk, what kind of question will it be?! If I can't answer it, I'll be stuck as a Genin for the rest of my life! Is this question worth the risk?! My hand was itching for me to raise it, I started raising my hand.

My hand was pushed down. "Don't raise your hand, you can do this."

I look over at Raiden shocked, he smiles a reassuring smile.

I smile back, "Arigatō."

He nods and faces forward. One by one people were leaving, teams at at time too. I glance over at Naruto and his hand is raised. Eh-! N..N-Naruto!

He slams his hand down. "Don't underestimate me! I won't run! I'll take it! But even if I'm stuck being a Genin forever. I will become Hokage no matter what it takes! I'm not scared!" Naruto shouts, taking a seat.

I smiled. That's right, your going to become the Hokage no matter what.

"I'll ask again. It's a choice that will alter your life. If you want to quit, now is your chance." Ibiki said.

"I'm not going to step back. That my ninja way!" Naruto shouted.

I like your determination, then.. For those of you still here. The first exam, " Ibiki said.

"You have passed it!"

My mouth fell open. What! Realization hit me. We. Passed. Yatta!

"What's this?! All of a sudden, you're telling is that we passed! What about the tenth question?" Sakura exclaimed.

"There wasn't such a thing to begin with!" Ibiki grinned.

"Wait! Then, what were all those nine questions for! It was just a waste of time!" Temari yelled.

'It wasn't a waste.. It was to test your individual ability to gather information. However, the questions on this test weren't any that you Genin would have been able to solve. So you gained the thought to cheat. That being said, I had two Chunin in the group who knew all the answers from whom you would cheat from. Those who cheated foolishly, were naturally disqualified. That's because, information, depending on the time and situation, it will be more valuable than life. And In mission or on a battlefield, you will always have to risk you life or fight for it!" Ibiki shouted and took of his headband showing scars, nail punctures and burn marks.

All signs of physical torture...

He put it back on, what a relief. "When information is gathered and an enemy or third party find out, that information is no longer guaranteed to be correct. Just remember this.. To be given the wrong information can bring a catastrophic blow to your friends and village. So that is why, out of necessity, we forced you guys to cheat in order to test your ability to collect information. And we filtered out those who were clearly lacking in those abilities. This tenth question was the main issue of the first exam. It was to take on the question, or not. Needless to say, it's a painful decision to make. Those who choose not to take it on would be immediately failed along with their whole team. Those who choose to answer the question and got it wrong... Would be robed of their chance to take the exam forever. I believe those with no deter silicon at all have no right to become Chunin at all. For all of you still her, you may say you have passed the tenth question. You shall be able to take on the adversity that may lie ahead in your way. The first exam for the Chunin exam has been completed. I wish you well!" Ibiki finished.

I grinned and jumped up, "Yatta! We did it!" I yelled along with Naruto.

Suddenly Raiden pushed me down, covering me with his body. I heard glass break. I stared up at Raiden with a blush, he was pretty much straddling me. He noticed our position and blushed, he got off me and helped me back up.

"Sorry." He mumbled.

"N-No, it's fine!" I stuttered.

Once the blush faded away, my eyes went to some lady standing in front of a banner. She had purple hair, and very, very, revealing clothing.

"You guys! This isn't time to be celebrating! I'm the proctor for the second exam! Anko Mitarashi! Let's move into the next stage! Follow me!" Anko yelled.

I stared at this woman like she was crazy, which she was!

Ibiki peeked out from behind the banner and said something I couldn't hear, it made Anko blush.

"80?! Ibiki! You let 26 teams slide by? I guess, the first exam this time around was too easy." Anko said.

"It seems like this time, there are a lot of excellent candidates this year." Ibiki explained.

"Huh! Well, alright.. I'll drop more than half of them in the second exam!" She stated. M-More than half? "I'm getting excited. I'll give you details tomorrow, we'll be exchanging locations so get the I fort anion from your Jonin about the location and time. That's it. Your dismissed."

Grinning I left the building by my teams side, happily. Knowing that we passed the first test of this damned exam.
