Kanji's Pov

I smirked in return, now this is going to be fun.

Zabuza scoffed, "you don't stand a chance!"

"Hell yea we do! Just watch us!" I yelled while fist pumping

"what are you doing?! Run away! This fight was over the moment I was caught! The mission is to protect Tazuna, remember!" Otōsan yelled angrily but he sounded somewhat worried

Naruto turned to Tazuna, "old man...?" Naruto questioned

"I'm sorry guys..." Tazuna whispered, "fight as much as you want" Tazuna added with a small smile

Sasuke smirked arrogantly, "you heard that" Sasuke said to us

"you ready guys" Naruto asked

"I'm ready, ya know" I said with a chuckle

Zabuza started shaking, "hahahaha..you guys will never grow up. Still playing ninja, huh? How pitiful. When I was your age my hands were already stained with blood!" Zabuza gloated

"demon Zabuza..." Otōsan whispered which I barely heard

"ah, so you've heard little haven't you." Zabuza said

I'm confused why we're not fighting, but I guess I need a little bit of information about Zabuza.

"Long ago in the Hidden Mist Village, also called the Blood Mist Village. There was an obstacle to become a shinobi.. " Otōsan started

"hm.. You even know about the exams.." Zabuza pondered

"the exam?" Naruto whispered confused

Zabuza chuckled madly, I grew uncomfortable.

"What was the exam?" I asked hesitantly

Zabuza looked up, "fights to the death between students."

I froze. what?! N-No..that can't be! Every village has a test, so wouldn't the leaf village test be like that?! If it is, I shouldn't stay so long. Maybe I will have to leave.... Maybe this was just another mistake coming to this village. I shook my head, I can't think about his now but later I'll talk to Otōsan.

"friends who have trained and eaten at the same table are pitted against each other...until one of them loses their life. Those are friends who had helped each other and shared dreams." Zabuza explained

"how.. Terrible!" Sakura mumbled

"10 years ago the Hidden Mist's graduation exam was forced to change. This change happened when a devil appeared. Without pause or hesitation, a young boy who was not even a ninja... Had killed over a hundred of those students." Zabuza said, his eyes were wide and looked crazy.

"What-" Sakura said

Zabuza appeared in front of Sasuke and kicked him down to the ground. He placed his foot on top of Sasuke harshly.

Sasuke coughed up blood, "guwah!"

"Sasuke!(Kun)" me and Sakura yelled

"Die..."

"shadow clone Jutsu!" Naruto shouted

Naruto's clones jumped at Zabuza, but it was futile. They only got destroyed in seconds. Naruto was looking through his bag and pulled something thing out.

"Sasuke!" Naruto shouted while throwing some type of blade to Sasuke

Sasuke's eyes widened, the blade opened in Sasuke's grip. I gasped, it was a shadow windmill shuriken! I get it now, so that's the plan!

"Shadow windmill shuriken" Sasuke said

Zabuza scoffed, "that won't work against me fool."

Sasuke jumped in the air and threw the shuriken at Zabuza, it missed. Now that's only one part of the plan.

"I see, you were aiming it at me. But, that not enough!" Zabuza yelled grabbing the shuriken In his left hand, Zabuza gasped "there was another in it's shadow!?"

I started sweating nervously, this is a 50% chance right here. Zabuza jumped over the shuriken, I grinned the plan is working. Naruto finally transformed back, he was right behind Zabuza. Naruto threw a kunai at his hand, making Zabuza let go of Otōsan. Zabuza spun towards Naruto, he aimed the shuriken at Naruto and threw it. But it was stopped by Otōsan's hand. The shuriken cut Otōsan's hand, blood oozed out of it slowly. I flinched.

"Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura shouted happily

I smiled faintly.

"Naruto great plan. You guys have grown up." Otōsan praised

"Haha it was Naruto's idea we just went along, ya know!" I exclaimed

I grinned, while Naruto explained the whole plan.

"Heh, I got distracted.." Zabuza defended himself

"wrong! You didn't release it, you were forced to release!" Otōsan exclaimed

Otōsan and Zabuza jumped away from each other, they started to do various of handsigns simultaneously.

"Water Dragon Blast no Jutsu!" They yelled

Woah!! Two huge dragons came out the water, the dragons crashed into each other. Water went everywhere pushing me back. I covered my face with my arms.

Ugh, damnit! If they keep going at it, this place is going to flood!

"water style: water explosion jutsu!" They yelled once more, but this time flooding the place.

"Wahhh!!"

"Sakura! Tazuna!" I yelled as they got taken by the water

damn!

I did handsigns for an earth style jutsu, "Earth style: earth tsunami!" I yelled

The ground rose up and formed into the shape of a tsunami, it was a wall really to stop the water. It stopped the water from flooding the place anymore, I sighed in relief.

At least that's done.

I ran around looking for my team.

"Sasuke! Sakura! Naruto, Tazuna! Where are you guys!" I shouted

Crap where are they!? I growled slightly and walked under a tree.

"For Jashin's sake! Where are you guys?!" I shouted frustrated

"right here"

"huh? Oh there- wait your not-!" I started but was cut off, by being held in the air by my neck.

Damn... It had to be Zabuza didn't it...

"hah puny brat! Do you still want to be a ninja?" Zabuza asked me

I nodded with my eyes narrowed, "actually, I still want to be a ninja!" I spat in his face

Zabuza scowled as my spit hit his eye, he threw me to the ground harshly. I flinched at the impact but got up right away, ready to fight. But I guess that wasn't needed.. I sighed as Otōsan prepared and formed Zabuza. Zabuza seemed freaked out when Otōsan appeared, he was tense.

"h-how do you know my every move!? Can you tell the future!" Zabuza yelled

"yes I can.. And this is the end for you!" Otōsan exclaimed

before Otōsan could even kill Zabuza some type of needle flew and hit his neck, Zabuza fell to the ground dead. I frowned, someone like Zabuza couldn't have died that fast. I mean he nearly killed Otōsan and I know Otōsan is pretty strong! I walked forward and placed my hand on his neck. I checked for a pulse, nothing. He was dead.... I faced the masked ninja trying to figure him or her out.

"Your right he is dead" the masked nin said, " thank you. I've been searching for him for awhile now, you made my job easier."

"your a hidden mist hunter-nin aren't you" Otōsan pointed out

hunter-nun?

"ah so you know of my importance, impressive. Yes my duty is to hunt down missing-nins. I am a member of the hidden mists hunter-nin." He explained

oh...so that explains it...kinda. I was still suspicious of him though, I mean he came right before Otōsan was going to kill Zabuza himself, but instead we were stopped by this boy? I thought about everything to myself, none of this fits! It's to good to be true but I think I should let it go for now.

"What the hell!! Who are you?!" Naruto shouted angrily

"don't worry Naruto... He's not a threat." Otōsan said

"that's not what I meant! That guy Zabuza.. A strong guy like him was killed by some kid!! And he looks the same age!" Naruto yelled

Exactly! How was a strong ninja like him killed so fast! Wait when did they get here?! I sweat dropped, I shook my head. This isn't a time to be thinking about that.

"Ne, Naruto. There is many people who are stronger than us, stronger than Otōsan. And he just happens to be one of them who is stronger at our age" I explained, my gaze not leaving the hunter-nin.

"exactly" Otōsan said

the hunter-nin reappeared by Zabuza, he lifted Zabuza and rested him on his shoulder. I narrowed my eyes at him, he sure is being gentle to someone he killed.

"Now I must go and dispose of the body, since it does hold many secrets.." The hunter-nin said

They disappeared in a swirl of leaves. Leaving no trace they were here..

"Ne, Otōsan. I know a little about hunter-nin's, but aren't they supposed to start searching the body right away?" I asked

Otosans eye widened, "um, well discuss this once were alone..." He whispered

I nodded and walked to Tazuna with my team behind me.

"now we must take Tazuna back home." Otōsan said with a closed eye smile

"haha, you guys can rest at my home!" Tazuna exclaimed

I grinned happily, finally we can relax. I walked next to Sasuke and he seemed tense.

I raised my eyebrow, "Sasuke are you ok? I'm worried, ya know." I asked softly

"Hn..I'm fine. I need to talk to you-" Sasuke started but was cut off by a loud thud

I ignored Sasuke and ran to the noise. Otōsan was on the ground.

"Otōsan!!" I shouted running to him

I helped him up, I grunted. Geez, he sure heavy.

Quick Sasuke pov

I tensed as kanji got near me, I've been feeling weird around her. But I don't understand this feeling in my stomach. My heart clenches in anger when she pays attention to Kakashi and not me. I should talk to her about this, maybe then I'll know what it means.

"Sasuke are you ok? I'm worried, ya know." Kanji said softly

My face got warm, but I forced the heat back down.

"Hn..I'm fine. I need to talk to you-" I started but I got caught off by a pretty loud thud.

Kanji completely ignored me and ran to the noise. I growled. I can never talk to her without getting interrupted!

"Otōsan!!" Kanji yelled

I growled even more but louder, stupid Kakashi. Just watch one day I'll get you Kakashi just you wait...
