Kanji's pov

"wow, the mist is really thick.... I can't even see." Sakura said as she stared in awe.

"we should she the bridge soon, the Land of Waves is next to the bridge.." The boat man said quietly

I moved on the edge of the boat and looked down, the water was pretty clear here! My mouth was wide in awe. I've never seen water so clear like this, in our old village we never had rivers and stuff.

"WOW THATS HUGE!" Naruto screamed

"Hey be quiet! Why do you think we're not using the engine!?" The boat man exclaimed

I jumped and let go of the side of the boat. Crap! Naruto your going to pay when Im back up!

I closed my eyes and waited to go in the water, the top of my head got wet but I was pulled up. I opened my eyes and blinked.... What? I looked at the arms holding me, my eyes trailed upward. Sasuke...

"You have to be careful.." Sasuke said concerned holding onto my waist

I blinked and waited for him to let go of my waist. But nope, we just started at each other. I shifted uncomfortably...This is getting awkward...

"Sasuke you can let my waist go now...." I mumbled uncomfortable

Sasuke's cheeks had a dust of pink, "o-oh sorry.." He mumbled hiding his face form me and FINALLY letting me go.

I nodded slowly with my eyes narrowed, he's acting weird. Since when does the great Uchiha stutter, I'll ask Izu-kun when we get back.

"I..want to talk to you about the mission, well the real mission.." Tazuna said sighing, "your right, this mission is way out your line of duties. It just turns out that a very powerful man is after me, after my life." Tazuna explained

"who?" Otōsan asked

"well you've probably heard of his name... The wealthy shipping magnate..Gatou." Tazuna said

Otōsan gasped, "huh?! Gatou, from the company?! The one who's said to be one of the few wealthiest people in the world." Otōsan said

"Yes.. He runs a very large shipping company. But secretly, he sells grubs and illegal items, hiring and using powerful shinobi to take over towns, countries, and companies. He's a very bad man, a nasty one." Tazuna spat

"it just happened to be a year ago, when his eyes set upon the Land of Waves. Through money and violence, he quickly took over our countries shipping industry. The only thing he fears is the completion of the bridge." Tazuna said sadly

"I get it! Since your the master bridge builder your in his way!" Sakura exclaimed

"So the ninja we fought, were hired by him?" Sasuke asked

"Obviously...what other reason would he be in danger...stupid pinky.." I muttered

Sakura looked at me and glared, I yawned and shooed her away with my hand. She scoffed and spun around. Finally, damn fan-girl was getting on my nerves...

Tazuna nodded. "It seems like it."

"But the only thing I don't understand I'd, why you wouldn't tell us this In the first place. If you knew strong ninja were after you, why did you keep this from us?' Otōsan asked

Tazuna looked down sadly, "the land of waves is extremely poor, not even the feudal lord had money."

I was was about to say something when the boat man ushered us off the boat. I pouted, he didn't let me talk. The man was about to leave when I quickly caught his attention.

"Oi!" I called out, "here. Thank you for going through this danger for us, you didn't have to but you still did. So I appreciate it, this is just a little token.." I said handing him a good amount of Ryo.

His eyes brightened at what I gave him, he thanked me over and over again, saying how kind I was.

I just laughed and smiled, "its fine, I hope you come back when we fix up this problem."

I waved goodbye and caught up with everyone else. Otōsan looked at me and nodded, I grinned in return. We walked a little further and I chuckled when I saw Naruto glancing at Sasuke every once in a while. Naruto had a grim expression and started to sweat. Naruto stopped and looked left and right with his hand on his forehead.

"There!" He yelled throwing a shuriken in the bushes, surprising all of us.

it was silent for a moment.....idiot...

"heh heh..just a mouse.." Naruto said sheepishly

I got a tick mark and growled, but held back.. Naruto is right to be suspicious, I feel something off...

"stop trying to act cool! There was nothing there you Baka!!" Sakura yelled annoyed (baka- idiot)

"Hey leave Naruto alone!" I yelled at pinky

Pinky looked at me and glared evilly. I snarled back in return. Hmph.

"Oi, stop throwing shurikens around, that's dangerous" Otōsan scolded Naruto

"hey stop acting like a moron!" Tazuna yelled

few seconds later, "there!"

"I said stop!" Sakura yelled punching Naruto in the head.

Geez, what is Naruto doing? I know something is wrong, but does he really have to throw his shuriken randomly.

"Itai!" Naruto groaned, "I swear, somebody is following is!!" Naruto shouted

Otōsan walked to the bush where Naruto threw another shuriken, I followed. There was a bunny.. A white one? White rabbits are in the winter, but then why is it here? -I got it!! There's no way a rabbit could be this color during the spring, it had to have been trapped in a home or somewhere to be like this!! So this rabbit had to have been kept indoors by someone! I gasped. Someone's here!

"Duck/get down!!" Me and Otōsan yelled dropping down to the ground.

Well...I was pushed down to the ground roughly, "oomph!"

I sat up shakily, and pushed whoever fell on me off. I stood up and looked around, everyone else was getting up.

"Why did you push me down" I asked Sasuke sternly

Sasuke faced away, "it was an instinct" he said

"ok.." I mumbled unsure

I looked to a tree and there was a large sword stuck in the wood, someone was standing on top. He was wearing cow patterned clothing, I sweat dropped, he's almost naked but yet he wears cow patterned clothes.

"Well, well, if it isn't the Hidden Mist's missing-nin Zabuza Momochi.." Otōsan said

"errr..ready..Go!!!" Naruto whispered and jumped forward

but Otōsan stopped him by putting his hand in front of Naruto, Naruto stopped looking confused. I sighed, I swear sometimes Naruto wants to get killed, making my job only harder.

"You appear to Kakashi of the Sharingan... Sorry but the old man is mine now." Zabuza said

"everyone stay back, this one is on a whole different level. It'll be tough, unless I use this!" Otōsan said with his hand on his headband.

"surround and protect Tazuna. Do not enter the fight. Zabuza... First fight me!" Otōsan exclaimed sternly

Otōsan pulled up his headband, I gasped. He does have the Sharingan!

"Ah, I'm honored. I already get to see the almighty Sharingan in use." Zabuza said mockingly

Naruto looked lost, "Sharingan, Sharingan!? What is hell is that!?" Naruto exclaimed

Sasuke looked in the air, "Sharingan...it is said that same have ability to read and defeat all types of gen, tai, and ninjutsu. The Sharingan is a kekkei genkai that gives you this power." Sasuke explained

Wow, the Sharingan can do all that! Sasuke must be powerful with that...

Zabuza chuckled, "but that's not the only ability the Sharingan has.... Hehe, that's not all. What's even scarier is that the user can copy the opponents techniques once they see them. When I was still in the Hidden Mist's assassin team. I kept a book that had information about you. And with that said, you are... The man who copied 1,000 jutsu, copy ninja Kakashi!" Zabuza exclaimed

"now let's end the talking. I have to kill that old man.." Zabuza said crouching on the tree, "but it seems I have to beat you first, Kakashi..." Zabuza said

Zabuza kicked himself and his sword out the tree, and landed in the water. I quickly faced the water. Damn he's fast! I can't lose sight of him! Wait?!

He was standing on water!

Sakura gasped, "He's over there? -and on water!!" Sakura exclaimed

"He'll come after me first, but be careful. I still haven't perfectly used the Sharingan. He's a master at silent killing, you won't even know that your dead." Otōsan explained

"eh?! The mist is getting thicker!" Naruto shouted nervously

"what!?" Sakura shouted

"Sakura, Naruto it's alright. We can do this, just stay in task and pay close attention to his moves!" I shouted

I stood next to Tazuna with a kunai in my hand, I know it won't do much, but I can't summon my sword right now! It was getting really cold, and the must was only getting thicker by the second.

"Liver, lungs, spine, clavical vein, neck, brain, kidneys, and the heart. Which one should I go after..." Zabuza said, his voice in every direction.

I tensed, he's naming all the organs that with one hit, we can all be dead!? I felt Sasuke getting nervous, I turned to him and grabbed his shoulder.

"Sasuke-kun...everything is going to be ok. Don't worry I'm here, ya know?" I whispered while staring at into his eyes.

Sasuke calmed down a little, and put the kunai down to his side. I smiled at him and turned back around.

"Sasuke, don't worry. I'll protect you guys even if it kills me. I don't let my comrades die" Otōsan said

He's not going to die! I'll make sure of it! I narrowed my eyes at Zabuza.

"Well see about that!' Zabuza shouted

"it's over" he whispered behind me

I gasped and turned around, blocking the sword with my arms. The sword cut my arms deeply, I groaned and pushed my arms against the sword. Zabuza pushed back, I stumbled and fell to the ground. So much for my bandages.

"ahh!" I screeched as the sword came down by my head

I rolled over managing to dodge, standing up I jumped in the air avoiding the sword again. I drop kicked Zabuza, but he turned into a puddle of water. What?!

"kaka-sensei, behind you!!" Naruto yelled

"gyyyyaaa!" Sakura squealed as Otōsan was cut in half with the sword.

There was water in the air, so it must've been a clone, a water one.

"don't move, it's over" Otōsan said from behind Zabuza, he was holding a kunai to zabuza's neck.

I frowned, he couldn't have been caught that easily. Zabuza chuckled, and said something to Otōsan. I gasped, that's not Zabuza that's a water clone!!

"Otōsan! Get away that's not Zabuza!! It's a clone!!!" I yelled

but I was to late, Zabuza was already behind Otōsan with a kunai to his neck. Otōsan killed the clone, and faced Zabuza. They started to fight but I could barely read their movements! Suddenly their was a splash, Otōsan was in the water. Otōsan came back up, but looked suspicious, he was looking at the water around him as if something was wrong.

"Heh, fool!" Zabuza exclaimed while doing some handsigns

Otōsan was trapped in a floating ball of water.

"your first mistake was going in the water to escape, hehe. Now I have you in my indestructible prison"

. A water clone of Zabuza appeared in front of us, but he swayed slightly.

"hah, wearing headbands and acting like shinobi....." Zabuza mumbled, "but you know what? A real shinobi is one who came close to death many times!" Zabuza exclaimed and disappeared

My throat went dry and I looked around.

I couldn't find him anywhere!

"GAHHH!"

I turned to the sound and saw Naruto on the floor, with Zabuza close to him. Naruto's headband was in the floor. Zabuza walked over to it and stepped on it.

"Naruto!" Me and Sakura yelled

"just a brat..." Zabuza mumbled

I ran over to Naruto but only got kicked away, "guwah!!"

I held my stomach gasping for breath, he's strong. We can't beat him alone, I flinched and coughed out blood. Damnit we need Otōsan!

"Kanji!"

I groaned in pain, but I still stood up. I swayed a little but gained my balance, I ran over to my team holding my stomach.

"K-Kanji are you ok?!" Sakura asked worried

"yea, nothing wrong. I'm perfectly fine!" I exclaimed forcing a grin in my face

Sakura smiled and nodded. I felt someone staring at me, Sasuke was staring at me like he knew I was lying. I snarled at him and looked away from him. He needs to stay out of my business!

"You guys! Take Tazuna and run! You have no chance at beating him! As long as I'm in this water prison, he can't move! Just run away now!!" Otōsan yelled

"Hah! Why should we give up! Those who abandon their comrades are worst than scum right!" I shouted back

Naruto stared at his headband under zabuza's foot. Naruto narrowed his eyes, he ran at Zabuza and head butted him. Making him fly back, Naruto grabbed his headband but only got kicked once again.

"Baka, don't jump in by yourself! Were Genin, we have in chance!" Sakura exclaimed

"Sakura stop!" I said, "we may be Genin, but that doesn't mean anything!" I said seriously

Sakura's eyes widened, she looked ashamed. She needed to know we can do something if we try our hardest, she doesn't have much will to fight... But I can help her with that.

"Hey....eyebrow less freak.. Put this in your handbook..the man who will become Hokage!" Naruto exclaimed while putting his headband back on, "leaf village shinobi, Naruto Uzamaki!" Naruto exclaimed

I smiled, he's defiantly going to be Hokage. No matter what.

"Sasuke, kanji lend me your ears!" Naruto yelled

"what do you need?" I asked

"What is it?" Sasuke asked

"..I have a plan!" he exclaimed

"teamwork huh?" Sasuke mumbled

Naruto looked at us and smirked, "let's go wild"
